My boyfriend and I stayed for a night here and we enjoyed it. The room is very clean and the staff are very accomodating. Our room got a complimentary upgrade to a room with a view. Their breakfast was lovely as well. We would definitely love to go back there. :)

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at the Hydro Hotel. We had a cream tea in the conservatory on arrival which, after a long journey, was very welcome. Lots of tea, large warm fruit scones & fresh cream & strawberry jam, all very delicious. We had a sea view room, clean & modern with some very nice quality toiletries & tea / coffee / hot chocolate / biscuits provided in the room. The hotel is Victorian, oak panelled rooms & arches downstairs - very grand but welcoming. The staff are lovely, friendly & attentive. We did not have an evening meal in the hotel as were meeting friends but the hot breakfast was very nice with an excellent selection to choose from & extensive cold buffet breakfast items. We had a lovely time & hope to return in the summer.

Enjoyed one night bed and breakfast with afternoon cream tea. Beautiful Victorian hotel oozing charm and character with excellent clean fresh rooms. Extremely courteous and helpful staff and food of a high quality. Could not find fault in any area and would highly recommend for a stay in Eastbourne.

Very nice New Year’s Eve stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and had a view of the sea as well as the city. We had room service for dinner and the roast beef sandwiches were nice. We stayed in room 304 and I would ask for a different room if I visit again as the room was noisy (plumbing noise by the sound of it, sounded like a masonry drill and this continued until around midnight, I suggest the manager spends a night in this room). Thankfully we brought ear plugs.
Surprisingly the noise was not audible after 8am. The other disappointing thing in this room was the size of bed was 3/4 double and as I am 6’2 it was a bit small for me. Breakfast was included and was nice, if I am picky I have had better sausages but they were edible.
We would stay here again but would ask for a bigger and less noisy room. Great location

Nice welcome at the reception, the hotel has a nice bar with a great barman Dave. The rooms are good but not modern I suppose in keeping with the hotel itself. The room has a hairdryer, iron and full size ironing board, the biggest selection of tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is very clean and supplies small amounts of toiletries for your use. We came for a NYE party which was really good.

Just returned from an excellent 4 day Christmas package at Hydro Hotel. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The food was outstanding - a good mix of hot meals & buffet meals - which were beautifully presented at all times. A mixed fish platter served on a large mirror was particularly clever & effective.
We particularly enjoyed the entertainment programme led by the deputy manager Hannah Francis - a great mixture of old and new games - that kept the young at heart fully occupied. A pantomime visit on the last day was a great touch.
Thank you all for such a great stay and for looking after us so well during the Christmas season.

Was treated to 3 course lunch in the restaurant. It was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful swapping the chair for me so I could have one with arms. The building is very elegant and has great views and plenty of parking. Also has accessible toilets and lots of suitable chairs around for the less mobile. If I were to come back to Eastbourne I would consider staying here even though a bit away from town centre.

Lovely place, looks good and well kept, had good service from friendly staff. My only issue was with the food, it was quite inconsistent, some of us had rather anemic roasties whereas others were a bit overdone etc. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would go again.
