We had a really lovely stay at the hotel. The food was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My wife is a vegan and the chefs were knowledgeable provided good alternatives. We had a sea view room which was very clean.

Room was big, clean, with excellent view of the sea but bathroom was so tin you can't turn around or sit on the loo! Unusable shower due to trickle of water. Bath was very narrow. Double bed only 4ft wide and uncomfortable. Restaurant was excellent, we both had a delicious dinner and breakfast. All staff were friendly and helpful.

We are local residents in Eastbourne and often visit the Langham Hotel for lunch. The staff are very friendly, the bar and outside seating area is lovely and the food is amazing. Had a beef burger there on our most recent visit, amazing as always.... And if the home made burger was any bigger I think I would've been mooing when I left! Five starts in every way.

The Langham Hotel Eastbourne is a cosy, friendly and welcoming place to stay.
We’ve completed a hat trick this year, being lucky to have stayed here during Airbourne Weekend, my Birthday weekend, and now as a Christmas present from our daughter, a stay between Christmas and New Year ... The perfect Christmas Treat! : )
The staff at The Langham are always very nice, very efficient, friendly and good humoured and work hard to make sure you have a pleasant stay.
The Chefs are tip top, creating excellent dishes, so flavoursome and appetising.
The rooms are cosy and spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and many of them have sea views.
We would highly recommend a stay at The Langham Hotel, for the quality of service and comfort it provides.
Thank you to everyone at The Langham ... we hope to return again soon, maybe in 2020 for afternoon tea or for another stop over ! : )x
Best Wishes,
Heather & Paul

We recently had a table for our work Christmas outing at one of the Langham’s party nights. From arrival to departure we really couldn’t fault the friendly attentive staff. The food was delicious and served with great efficiency considering the amount of customers being catered for. The ‘casino’ was also a nice touch and good fun. We all had a very enjoyable night and were most impressed with this hotel.

On Tuesday The East Sussex Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted held our Tuesday Club Xmas Dinner at the Langham as we did last year. Again a very pleasant evening was had, the staff very attentive and pleasant. Meals were good and tables nicely laid out. We Parked by the Fishermans Club as wasn't sure of the parking as part of the sea front still closed off due to the incident at the Claremont. But on walking up was amazed still several spaces to park.
Thank you to the Langham Hotel Staff and wish you all a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Lovely hotel right on the front, overlooking the sea. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and nice shower. All meals very tastey and hot. Good varied menu. Lovely crisp white table-cloths. Good value for money. Staff very welcoming. Will be back.

Hotel spotlessly clean and warm. This was supposed to be a Turkey and Tinsel break the only decoration was a bit of tinsel around pictures, the staff were not dressed festive or in a festive mood. You ordered your evening meal at breakfast this then became a lottery because you got what they served you. The response was "Well you are only coach passengers" Our evening meal was 6.20 one evening we went in at 6.25 to be greeted with Hurry up you are late. Our room was so small we thought it was a single the receptionist promised to look into it and get back to me but nothing was forthcoming. Overall the holiday was o.k but these small niggles needed to be made aware.

Such a fantastic evening at The Langham. The food was excellent, piping hot which is unusual for mass catering and the service was exceptional. All of the staff were so attentive and professional, especially Connor who looked after us throughout the evening. Highly recommended, we'll be back next year. Thank you all.

We chose The Langham for mum's 90th birthday lunch, 10 of us. We were all delighted with the food and the service we received. As the organiser, I cant fault the support I was given by the hotel owner and the staff, especially having looked around elsewhere and receiving second-class service. For attention to detail, politeness and 'going the extra mile', The Langham is second to none. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great! Well done everybody and thank you! I'll be eating with you again.

A group of 10 of us decided to have an early pre-Christmas get-together and chose The Langham for Sunday Lunch on 10th November whilst being serenaded by Duality.
Yet again the staff, food, atmosphere and performance were superb. There was a large range to choose from on the menu, so everybody was happy with their choices.
Thanks to everyone for another great lunch.
One word of caution to people: please remember this is a very popular venue for Sunday lunch with live music and therefore it is essential to book in order to avoid disappointment.

Very small room but comfortable, quiet and modern. Bed was tiny, but I am 190cm tall. Towels were huge by comparison. TV was great but wifi was dreadfully slow to non-existent. Staff were first class, friendly, good fun yet courteous and polite. Food was superb with a quality menu. Breakfast was definitely 4 star. Location on the sea front was fantastic, even on a windy, cold winter's day. Not all rooms have a sea view. Mine was awful but I wasn't in my room to look for a view. Car parking is limited and not free and requires early booking. Would I stay again? Absolutely. No question.

Stayed for one night on the way to the channel tunnel in Folkestone. We selected the hotel due to its nice location at the beach and because of its long standing tradition. Contrary to the claim on the hotel’s website there is absolutely no parking available nearby. We had to walk some 15 minutes through the rain to finally get to the hotel. The room we got was tiny and pretty outdated. Only the bathroom has been renovated recently, but was also of microscopic size. In my view the hotel would have been much better off by merging rooms and renting them out for a higher price. At least the rooms situated on the first floor of the hotel do no longer provide an adequate value for money. The only positive aspects of the hotel were the good restaurant and the friendly and motivated staff. Summary: The hotel has clearly seen much better days and is in urgent need of a major refurbishment.

A lovely Sunday lunch with very good live music to add to the ambiance. We sat in the conservatory area where we had a perfect view of the beachfront and sea whilst still near the music. Our lunch was the roast beef option which at £25 per head we felt exceptionally good value. To be hyper critical....the meat was spot on whilst the vegetables were very good except for rather dreadfully overcooked carrots. At £25 per head we both felt we had really good value....would have been 5 stars if not for those carrots! Good wine list and again we felt very good value. All round....we will return I am sure

I had a lovely, relaxing weekend break with my mum at this beautiful hotel. The room was amazing, very comfy with fabulous views of the sea and the pier. So nice to have the bay window in which to sit in comfy chairs and admire the almost 180 degree view! When we could drag ourselves away from the view, we ate in the restaurant for dinner on both nights and the food was faultless, with a wide choice of beautifully presented, tasty dishes which were served on hot plates which was great!. Breakfast in the Conservatory with that captivating sea view was also tasty. It was lovely to be able to order breakfast at your table from a wide menu and have freshly cooked food delivered to you, rather than having a buffet type free for all scrum! We had a snack lunch in the bar on both days too, reasonable prices for both the food and drink and the service there again was excellent. I'd like to thank all the staff for making our stay such a happy one. We will come back again - very soon I hope!

This Hotel is very nice, bedrooms have everything you could want for a short stay holiday. Staff are very friendly, smilling and accommadating, food is good and presentation excellent, was disappointed that kippers, haddock, eggs Benedict and eggs royale wasnt on breakfast menu, unless as a coach tour, we had a separate menu. I understand that ' Weatherspoons ' now do the later, so expected a 4 star hotel such as the Langham to have provided these items. Entertainment was enjoyable, but stopped at 10pm. All in all a very enjoyable stay, would return.

I took a party of 18 friends to the Langham hotel, Eastbourne yesterday 10th November for their Sunday Jazz lunch. Duality were playing throughout the meal and play a great variety of songs. Everyone commented on the amazing choice's available on the menu for Starter, Main and Dessert courses. Neil Kirby the owner, had set up a private area for my party to serve Prosecco, prior to our lunch. Everyone commented on the quality and good size portions and excellent service. I highly recommend a visit to this very friendly hotel.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. So comfortable and spotlessly clean with caring staff and superb food. We had an evening meal in the dinning room and breakfast in the conservatory with table service. Bottled water supplied in room also bathrobes and slippers. An electric fan was available and a good quantity hair dryer.

Just return from two nights at the Langham hotel. Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The staff are all extremely polite, helpful, and a tentative to detail.
Food was very well presented and to a very high standard. The whole weekend was organised by Wendy and Simon and from start to finish anything worked as clockwork. A big thank you from all at the Alvering Lodge.
