We just spent the weekend at this hotel with a group of friends. Our room was on the third floor and had obviously been refurbished fairly recently with a lovely new bathroom! The food was good and plentiful, nobody could complain about being hungry. Although the weather wasn't good on Friday we had a beautiful day Saturday and also Sunday, Spring had arrived. The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and polite and go out of their way to make sure that everything is alright. We would probably go back to this hotel for a short break sometime.

Attention to detail is evident in may ways such as the room fittings with details such quality towels and toiletries, for example. Breakfast is served, which makes for a very relaxing meal by the sea and a welcome change from dancing around a buffet set-up. The quality of the food in the evening is also very evident. Above all, the staff team is clearly well trained and motivated, which is very welcoming. We would be more than happy to return should the opportunity arise. Also, regular buses stop outside the hotel.

On arrival reception were very friendly and helpful, we went out in the evening, I have a mobility scooter and my husband asked if we could leave it anywhere in hotel, the staff were so helpful and found somewhere for us to leave it without any hesitation whatsoever. The room was perfect, clean and tidy and the bathroom huge. Breakfast was lovely, staff very accommodating and making sure we had all we needed. Although it was Valentine's weekend and they had a function which we hadn't booked but we had booked a table for dinner, we were treated no differently than the people attending the function. Food was very good. We have tried for a long time to get booked into the Langham but dates we could do it sadly, for us, the Langham were full. We finally got there and were not disappointed at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed here for two nights in a Superior Sea View Room No: 331. On arrival we had not booked parking, but found sufficient places to park in the roads surrounding the hotel within a short walking distance. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful and provided all the necessary information about the hotel when we booked in. Our room was on the third floor which is easily accessible by both lift and stairs. The room was well decorated and had a large double bed, chairs and a table and a small separate dressing area. There was a TV and complimentary water, tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The bathroom appeared to have been recently refurbished and it had at one end a walk in shower cubical with a tiled floor. There were also good quality toiletries provided. The one slight complaint was the heating in the room and bathroom was not good especially as the weekend we stayed was very cold. Our room gave an excellent view of the sea, sea front and pier. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with all the usual options, unusually everything had to be ordered with nothing being on a self-service basis. This did not cause any great wait problems and everything appeared to be freshly made, nothing was a problem for the very pleasant staff. There was small bar which had a reasonable but not large variety of drinks with a large area for seating nearby.

We have eaten here a few times and the food is really really good. Interesting menu and beautifully cooked. We have not actually stayed in the hotel but the public rooms are lovely particularly the dining room. The bar is friendly and there are sea views and comfortable seating.

We have been to this hotel several times over the last decade or so and the only time I can remember being disappointed is when we didn't have a room with a sea-view - the views of the the sea and pier are so glorious it is criminal not to have a room that makes full use of them!

The latest break was a delight as always - from the weather to the always very friendly and helpful staff.

A particularly favourite part of any stay here was the breakfast in the conservatory - we notice that other hotels along the promenade do not have this feature - they use their conservatory just as a sitting/drinking area - hopefully the Langham will never decide on this option for theirs!

The hotel has always been a favourite of my wife and I because it offers us an anonymity that we prefer - and that you don't get in other, smaller establishments.

On a beautiful sunny and bright morning with the hotel overlooking the pier and the sea, we thoroughly enjoyed our capucinnos. What is really nice, you get offered with your coffee a homemade shortbread biscuit, or a slice of flapjack. Very good value for money. The waiter served the coffee to the table with a smile and professional service.

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday treat. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble,The bedroom suite was very clean and faced the seafront. There is a lift to all floors this was a bonus as I have mobility problems. They have a restaurant and put a special menu out every evening if you don’t fancy a meal there they also have a good bar menu.
We will most definitely returning to this lovely hotel.

Stayed for one night in a superior double sea view room.
First impression was WOW! Almost immaculate. But a few minor issues that didn't effect our stay. The heated towel rail in bathroom didn't work night or morning. Shower head was grubby. And a 2 inch tear in bed sheet. Otherwise perfect. Lovely furniture with plenty of drawers. A walk in wardrobe and water and tea and coffee and biscuits. A beautifully tiled bathroom with walk in shower. A very nice bar with comfortable chairs. We had dinner and breakfast in the sunroom. Plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. The staff are polite and helpful. We intend to stay longer later in the year. To summarise , A fabulous panoramic view from the 3 Windows in our room. Fantastic food, wonderful staff. A nice walk along promenade to a very nice pier. Recommend booking car parking on site. 9 pounds. Although there is plenty of parking on surrounding roads. Pay and display, can use Ringo app on your phone.
Highly recommend Langham hotel.

Two overnight stays, good location, excellent food & great professional & friendly staff. Both of the events were excellent. The executive chef and his team excelled themselves with the menus and the standard of food we had. Breakfast also did not disappoint.

We stayed the 3 to 6 January on the 'Winter Special' offer which is a excellent offer. The hotel is situated on the sea front, the room was comfortable and well equipped, food excellent and the staff at this family run hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Eastbourne.

We have just got home after spending two nights at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is set in the seafront and has commanding views over the beach and pier. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is spotless and the room was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed the weekend so much and it was such a shame to have to leave. We were so impressed by the hotel that we have booked another weekend away there for the Eastbourne airshow. We cannot wait to go back 😀

This hotel prides itself on being the first 4* hotel in Eastbourne, well from our perspective it is justly proud. The service from the staff was excellent, they were polite, and always present without being overbearing (a difficult line for some places to tread I am afraid).

The room was very comfortable and obviously well cared for with modern fittings in the ensuite. The clearly new window fittings were a pleasant surprise so we were able to open the sash window to allow fresh air in overnight.

We opted to eat in for the evening and were very pleased with the fare indeed. The chips were some of the best we've had in a long time. The vegetarian option went down very well too.

It was nice to be offered a choice of bottled ales - and to be asked if I wanted it chilled or at room temperature when so many places assume it should be so chilled you can't taste the drink at all.

Breakfast was excellent.

The only problem was the dull weather which I'm pretty sure the hotel and staff had absolutely no control over.

For Christmas 2018 we decided to try a hotel package for the first time. In our view we truly could not have chosen a better hotel than The Langham. From the first warm welcome until the last friendly goodbye everything was perfect. There is such a fine balance between formal and informal but Neil, Wendy and their excellent team have that balance exactly right, creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere whilst catering for every need. There was always someone unobtrusively on hand to ensure that guests were happy. The thoughtfulness that they put into the Christmas break was much appreciated by all that we spoke to, it came as no surprise to find that people return to this hotel year after year. The restaurant is of a very good standard and we found the service excellent. We chose to have a sea view room and the luxury of being able to watch the glorious sunrises across the sea as we awoke was an added bonus. We very much hope to return to The Langham, we could not fault any part of our 2018 Christmas.

Lovely hotel great room with sea view and plenty of storage. Best breakfast served freshly cooked with a large pot of tea, fresh orange juice, brown & white toast, brought to the table by smiling friendly staff which are a credit to the hotel, keep up the good work.
