I stayed at the Hotel as part of a coach party. The staff were lovely, young but well trained, polite and excellent at their jobs. The food was great, well presented and delicious and was definitely not mass catering considering there was 50 of us. The room was a bit too small for two and the shower room was definitely too small. But lets face it I wasn't in for most of the time! Evening entertainment was pitched just right for the clientele. Would come here again if I was to return to Eastbourne

Booked with the Langham last minute. Well organised, friendly, professional and made us feel really welcome. A lovely sea-view room with a comfortable bed. Very relaxing stay even though it was for one night. I would recommend The Langham for a no problem stay.

Have been going to the Langham Hotel as an Eastbourne Resident for quite a few years, I haven't stayed the night but regulary use the hotel lounge/bar or sit on the terrace overlooking the beach to meet up with friends for coffee, the staff are always friendly and accomodating to non residents.
Have been a few times for a meal in the restaurant and the food is first class.
They have a full program throughout the year of lunches with different speakers or entertainers and have enjoyed for the last 3 years a lunch with entertanment from Tom O'connor which was hilarious and real value for money.
Would definately reccommend a vist to the Langham if you are in the Eastbourne area

Having spent many years as a Tour and Coach Operator I have experienced hotels throughout the UK and the Continent and that perhaps is why I tend to be extra critical now that I am retired.
However, I can honestly say that I can only lavish praise on all aspects of my three night stay at the Langham. The meals were excellent and well presented, the staff were obviously very well trained being efficient and polite, and the bedrooms provided a very comfortable and good nights sleep. The "Middle of the road" easy listening entertainment was also very acceptable.
Nothing is too much trouble for the very enthusiastic proprietors Neil and Wendy and their staff.
I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying a stay at this first class hotel and I certainly hope to return in the not too distant future.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights at the beginning of September as part of a group of lady bowlers. Although the room I shared with a friend was somewhat bijou it was clean and the beds were comfortable and the bathroom served its rather cramped purpose. The rest of the hotel was quite spacious with a good bar and seating area and a pleasant terrace overlooking the sea. The dining room was light and airy and the food was of a good standard. The staff were all friendly and helpful. This is a very acceptable seaside hotel and one that I would definitely recommend.

On arriving at the hotel the staff where brilliant and gave us all of the info we needed, when we got to our room we where overwhelmed it was absolutely beautiful we had a sea view room for the night and it's very good value for the money we paid. Everybody was so welcoming and the view and room was stunning. In the evening we used the lounge room the bar was very good prices for our drinks and also we recived a complementary flapjack and biscuit with our drinks what was absolutely delicious! The breakfast in the morning was also very yummy I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know very pleasant stay!

What a fantastic hotel! Good food, beautifully decorated rooms and helpful, friendly staff. The owner is incredibly professional but at the same time very friendly and approachable. We had a wonderful meal in the Conservatory Restaurant which I would recommend to anyone - amazing food! All in all a perfect stay. We will be booking again very soon.

Stayed for 5 nights B & B and picked an excellent week for it (ie weather was Superb).
Secured a 'Superior Sea View' room which was quite spacious as far as rooms go albeit shower suite was abit on the 'narrow side'. Room was clean and well kept during our stay.
Had to have windows open as no air con etc. This being said, room was always pleasant albeit we had some noise from traffic outside. The sound of the sea was Great.
All staff we met were approachable and friendly.
Breakfast was waiter service and both this and quality of food was very good, even though the waiting staff had to manage a few coach loads at same time.
We did not eat in restaurant whilst we were there so cannot comment on that.
We did venture into the bar on occasions where entertainment was provided in the evenings. For us, the quality of entertainment was average but not unpleasant. Entertainment rooms were too bright for us. We prefer 'dimmed lights and candles' but hey ho.
We used the small car park that the hotel has and £7 a day/night in my view is too expensive, albeit the car parking is very convenient.
I should point out that we considered Brighton as a base for touring Sussex but I'm glad we had chosen Eastbourne. It appeared alot less commercial, a more pleasant seafront/promenade to walk along, just generally felt more comfortable.
We would return to Eastbourne and possibly to Langhams as it is one of the better hotels in this resort.

We decided to book a last minute weekend trip to the Langham as we have always enjoyed staying here.

When arriving was greeted by a friendly reception staff and we booked a seaview double which was as always beautiful. We booked for dinner in the conservatory and had a lovely meal I had the Ribeye and my partner had the line caught cod which were both cooked to perfection, while enjoying our meal a gentlemen sneezed while eating with his wife and at a separate table one gentlemen who had clearly far too much to drink was being very rude to the man (who sneezed) and an argument erupted. but the waiter sorted the situation. But we could not believe how rude the man was who started the argument over someone sneezing very bizarre!

But besides the issue that happened in the restaurant we had a fantastic time at the hotel again and would recommend anyone to come down to Eastbourne and stay at the Langham hotel!

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower -perfect.The only thing that we disagreed with was the surcharges added to items on the menu at the evening dinner. We asked the waitress why and we were told this was because some foods take longer than others to cook! In the bar the exact same meal was available at a much lower cost and no surcharge.Apart from that we would definitely come back but perhaps eat elsewhere in the evening.

Was really friendly , and nice and close to where we needed to be. Food was excellent although we only had the breakfast. They did do an evening meal if requested. Tea/coffee also provided in room along with tv facilities if needed. Shower and general washing aids provided too.

We often visit Eastbourne and wife and I have just returned from 3 nights at The Langham.

Our room overlooking the sea was very comfortable and very quiet.

The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

On the Sunday night, we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and were joined by another couple who live in the town.

There were minor hitches during our stay which were not caused by the hotel staff however, the management rose to the occasion and resolved the issues to our complete satisfaction.

We will certainly return to The Langham, probably more so following on from hearing that another hotel we have previously stayed at has recently changed ownership and we are not keen to sample their delights under the new regime.

We are a youngish couple, well early 30s 😁 and had a a great stay!

We booked a superior sea view room and it was definitely worth it! Four big windows facing the sea, large comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Water, biscuits and tea provided daily in the room. The room was cleaned immaculately everyday and the maids were very friendly.

Each day, we enjoyed breakfast in the sunny conservatory overlooking the sea. There was a good selection for breakfast which was served at your table rather than a buffet. We enjoyed sitting on the patio after breakfast; to drink tea, chat to locals, gaze at the sea and watch the world go by.
We would definitely recommend buying tea at the hotel as it comes with amazing flapjack too!
We reserved a parking space at £7 a night but there are options to park on the street also.
If visiting Eastbourne, then would definitely recommend a visit to Beachy head for spectacular views and lunch at the pub there is scrumptious.
The pilot inn (meads) and the crown and anchor are great places to eat too; especially if looking for a younger crowd. (I thought Eastbourne was for more mature people and whilst there are quite a few, there are younger people and families too- so that preconception was pleasantly misplaced.
We went to the harbour which is not to far from the hotel. You can get a little road train there in the day. We ate in the Thai restaurant overlooking the boats.

If looking for a day out further afield, then Rye is a quaint and picturesque place to visit and Brighton pier is a fun day out.

Our only recommendation for the hotel is to perhaps put some plug in air freshners in the communal areas.

We spent four nights in one of the recently re-furbished rooms on the third floor. It was comfortable and beautifully clean with a smart décor. We had a lovely view straight on to the front and the sea. Tea, coffee and water was available in the room. There wasn't a bath, just a shower, but the bathroom was otherwise well designed and spacious.
All the staff were polite and efficient with the bar and restaurant staff particularly friendly.
Champagne afternoon tea was a delight! We ate all our meals in the conservatory which was really a treat. Vegetarian breakfast was a nice touch but I chose to eat out on an evening we had hoped to try the restaurant again rather than have another risotto. A more varied vegetarian option would have been good.
Entertainment was provided in the bar some evenings but we chose to avoid this as its really not our thing.
We paid per day to park at the back of the hotel which we felt was well worth it. Whatever we asked for was carried out immediately with a smile and we cant wait to return.

Eastbourne Soroptimists were left a legacy to enjoy an evening together with a meal, so we needed somewhere special to celebrate. The Langham excelled. From the owner, Neil, manager, Simon, and efficient and friendly staff, we were so well looked after. The meal was delicious and the whole evening superb.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July in a seafront room, which was very well proportioned, had a comfortable bed and great bathroom. The breakfast was great, so relaxed not having to help ourselves to a buffet, but being served with freshly cooked and well presented food.
We were joined for lunch by 12 friends, who came to help us celebrate our anniversary. The food and service were excellent and we were so touched that the hotel brought out a cake for us, a very kind gesture. All our guests were impressed by the efforts the hotel made.
What makes this hotel so good, however, are the staff and owners who show genuine pride in their work and are very concerned about the welfare of their guests.
We would recommend this hotel both as a great place to stay or to have a special meal.
Thanks to all who gave us such happy memories of our stay and anniversary.

First of all, we were lucky enough to have a sea-view room. We were welcomed by the very friendly reception staff and had a parking spot reserved for us.

The bar staff, food and especially breakfast were very satisfactory indeed. All in all a very nice stay!

This is a family run hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The service from check in to check out was outstanding and the food was just beautiful. This hotel offers excellent value for money. You can see and feel the pride of the family who run this hotel with the customer at the heart of everything they do. Perfect for work, rest or play!

I contacted the front desk with a view to arranging a 60th birthday dinner for my husband. Peter looked after all the arrangements from place cards, photo menus to the birthday cake. The party consisted of close friends and family. The menu choices were made in advance which only added to the smoothness of the evening. Pre-dinner drinks were had in the bar and the dinner for 13 was served in the 'blue alcove' culminating in fizz and cake. The food was excellent and guests continue to remark on the quality together with the excellent service. The evening was polished off in the very comfortable reception area were staff continued to look after our needs (more drinks). In my opinion it couldn't have gone better, well done The Langham.
