Stayed here in a group of 3 for 4 nights at £80 rooms each.rooms very nice can't fault no problem here, the problem is the wifi, all 3 of us had major problems and couldn't log in for long and it wouldn't load at all, contacted reception they said no one else has had a problem, well I new 3 people who had one, breakfast here is a major problem,it actually became a joke as to gues what we would receive, the service in here took about 10 minutes before anyone actually came to us when the did the problems started, we would order white toast, brown would come,we would order bran flakes, cornflakes would come,we would order warm food, items would be missing,I wouldn't mind but they said what we ordered then wrote it down how can you get that wrong, also £7 for parking that is also a negative, could be a good hotel but wifi and service is a big no for me.

Comfortable, welcoming and friendly. Also very clean and great food in the restaurant. The atmosphere was great and our teenage children felt very comfortable and welcome too. Situated on the seafront with great views.

We stayed one night in a superior sea view room on the 3rd floor. It was at the far end from the lift but we didn't mind as it meant we didn't get anyone walking past our room. We didn't hear any noise from anyone either. Windows were in good condition so not much street noise. Great view of the sea. Bathroom was superb. Everything was clean and in good condition. No noisy or uneven floorboards which we had in a hotel in Brighton before. The chocolate Easter bunny was a lovely touch. Bed was firm and comfortable. Reception was friendly. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed having that in the conservatory. Only thing you should note is that it is at the far end of Eastbourne. We found this was fine as it didn't take long to walk to the centre. We found street parking for free round the back though we did have to circle a few times.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful. Shame about the parking fees being expensive.
Wanted to give 3.5 overall, but reviews don't do half points.
Only reason for 3.5 was that we only stayed the one night,so didn't get to experience all that was there. But DEFINETLY come back for longer stay..

This was our first time at the Langham having spent 3nights over the Easter break and we were not disappointed. The staff are absolutely first class so friendly and nothing was too much trouble and everyone of them had a smile on their faces at all times. The food was very good, nicely presented and a good choice from the menu, and once given a table in the restaurant or conservatory that table was yours for every meal taken. We had room 204 a superior sea facing which was a good size with plenty of storage and a lovely spacious bathroom which had a walk in shower very modern and spotlessly clean. The white sheets and pillowcases on the bed were very crisp and the bed was so comfortable.
Having a large bay window we could sit at the small table and look out over the sea and watch the sun setting with a glass of wine to hand. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked (with our friends who were with us) the four night Christmas break which we were informed is a fun time with a visit to a theatre to see a pantomime among a packed entertainment programme. So if you are thinking about booking for a short stay we can thoroughly recommend the Langham.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter weekend, and have just returned home after a lovely break at the Langham Hotel. We booked directly with the hotel and opted for dinner, bed and breakfast which was very reasonably priced. Our room was excellent on the second floor, newly refurbished and with a comfy bed. Breakfast was also wonderful enjoyed in the conservatory with views across the bay, as were our evening meals. All of the staff are friendly and helpful especially the reception team even providing a valet service so you don't have to park for yourself, the hotel has parking priced at £7 per day (pre-booked) behind the hotel. Drinks in the bar are sensibly priced as is the wine list, the hotel has free wi-fi which was quick and easy to use. We really enjoyed our weekend and hope to visit again soon!

Just returned from a two night stay for a Masonic Ladies Festival. Everything, and I do mean every thing was perfect....the room, the food, the decor and the service. What makes the place outstanding is the staff. From the attentive highly visible family owners to the reception staff, waiters and cleaners....they are amazing.....hard working, efficient, courteous and always ready with a smile and a quip. Obviously training is to the highest standard. Will definitely return.

We stayed here last night. Although the room (214) was quite compact the bed and pillows were really comfortable. It was also very quiet. The bathroom and bedroom were both spotlessly clean too. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious as was breakfast. My only criticism is the decor in the bar & reception areas which looked a tad tired and seedy. The staff were polite and efficient. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

It was only a couple of nights, but the break from work was very welcome and the hotel was excellent.

It's an old building so you need to remember the rooms won't be very big. And there's little or no car park. But that's all that can be said as a negative.

The staff were attentive, even printing out a route map for us to a new building not yet on our satnav. The breakfast was excellent- real quality, obviously cooked freshly. The room, although small, was modern, well furnished with a new looking bathroom.

Recommended.

Stayed for two nights in this very traditional seaside hotel. Reception well managed and efficient and the seafront facing room was comfortable, spotlessly clean with plenty of space for clothes. Shower over the bath with plenty of hot water. Evening meal very well served and tasty. Excellent breakfast, served to the table rather than the more usual buffet. It is obvious that this is a very well managed hotel indeed and the staff are particularly friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel have some garages available for guests, if booked in advance, but these are expensive. Free side street parking possible nearby but don't leave it late because demand can outstrip supply! The hotel is situated East of the pier and a fair walk from the town centre but a very regular bus runs from just across the road - ask reception for times. This proved a really enjoyable stay and I would certainly book in here again.

This was a privately-owned hotel - with all the right individual feel about it..I would come here again - so long as I didn't end up in a room as cramped as the one my partner, Jane, and I squeezed into this weekend. When asked at reception as I booked out, what I thought of the place, I was complimentary - apart from the diminutive size of our bedroom. It was politely pointed out that this happened as I was a late booking and that, if I phoned directly in good time before my next visit, I would be given a larger one.
This was typical of the Langham ... when they ask for one's opinion, they really care and listen to the answer.
I found the staff unfailingly polite and helpful. Because the hotel was full for dining on the Saturday night, the chap at reception offered to phone and book one of a selection of Eastbourne restaurants. I was even given a suitable map of the area.
I had a pre-booked parking place ready and waiting for my arrival. Good service. There was free WiFi. Good again.
The bed was comfortable and the place clean and bright. The high ceilings and traces of past door ways hinted at how grand and roomy quarters had been carved up. Even the corridors were squeeze-past narrow.
The breakfast was the first I had experienced in many years with waiter service. That said, it was pretty average fare, with a miniscule piece of fried bread, half a tomato and tinned mushrooms.
Over all, I liked the Langham. It has character, and the people there care. On the Saturday evening, there was a Masonic ladies' festival in full swing. Everybody there seemed happy. A thought for my own Lodge, perhaps ....

We travelled to Eastbourne for a day by the sea on Sunday and decided to stay the night, after walking up and down the sea front several times we decided on The Langham, upon arrival the reception team were very welcoming and we checked in with ease. Our room was nice, I always go for sea view but as this was last minute and the budget not huge we decided to just go for a double, very clean and tidy, small but nice. We had a nice few drinks in the bar late afternoon, they had a St Patricks lunch on in the restaurant which sounded like great fun! We are in our 30's as this was by no means the average age but it was lovely, there is something about the manners and approach to things so lovely about the slightly older generation (no offence meant here at all!) its so nice to see smiles and laughter and people enjoying themselves no matter the age but I think the way in which people treat others is a little lost in the youth of today! anyway we decided to book the restaurant for dinner, we had a lovely table in the conservatory, staff polite, attentive and very helpful. The mussels are probably the best I have had and a great wine selection all at the most reasonable price. After dinner we went to the bar for a few more drinks, then headed to the beach for a moonlight walk, it was lovely if not freezing!! The guy working that evening had to let us back in as the door was locked due to the time, he was lovely, very accommodating and friendly. I must also mention the guy on reception, my partner had no phone charger (we hadn't planned to stay) in fact we only had the clothes we were in but he lent him his own personal charger and offered us any toiletries they had available, he was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. My partner had a chat with the owner who I hear was lovely and really made the effort to make it memorable. All in all for an unplanned trip we had a great stay, as I say if I had gone for sea view room I probably would have been happier (my partner won that battle for once!) but the room was sufficient for our stay. Food, atmosphere, location and staff all made it a memorable and very lovely last minute trip. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Stayed here for the Hastings half marathon, room was good however they do differ in size as the other couple in our party had a much bigger room for the same price. We did not have a fridge which was different. Breakfast was disappointing, very small portion for the amount you pay. The staff were not very attentive, having to prompt for top up with orange juice and milk. I'm afraid to say we won't be returning.

We attended Masonic Ladies Festival on Friday and Saturday of this Weekend.
Everything was five star from the food, staff and rooms.
Will definitely be holding our Ladies Festival there, and the odd Weekend.
Could not fault this hotel in any way.
Thank you Langham, well done.

We stayed on a Friday night, pleasant welcome at reception, old fashioned decor but quaint and charming. Lovely room, small but everything at hand, nice clean bathroom with shower and usual complimentary toiletries. Comfortable warm bed. Breakfast served between 7-10am, wonderful choice, juices, cereal, toast, full English, kippers or continental breakfast included in the price, absolutely delicious and hot with a big pot of breakfast tea, we had a table in the conservatory looking out to sea, a rare treat. All rounded off with a pleasant send off and efficient service at reception. At £90 for the night a real bargain. We will be back.
