Given window seat which was very pleasing. There were 4 of us & the promised 4 glasses of Proseco arrived promptly before studying the menu. The 3 course meal was both imaginative & of a high standard as expected of a 4 star hotel. The back ground music was not too loud & light & the pianist very professional The service was good & the waiter attentive.
The only very minor gripe which may need checking or attention, is that all of us requested a jug of tap water,& without exception found it had a very strange taste!....As a result we had to order bottled water. The reviewer regrets mentioning this to the owner & apologises to not omitting to bring this up at the time of departure......,but I am sure there is probably some very good reason for this as perhaps this may have been a 'one off' on the day?....GREAT LUNCH

What a gem of a hotel. We had a fantastic weekend here. The sea view room was great and spotlessly clean. Bathroom very bright and airy. Food throughout was really great especially at the function in the evening. Well done to everyone. The staff are a credit to this well run hotel.

What a lovely weekend in this friendly, comfortable and welcoming hotel. The staff were excellent, willing and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. The management were always watchful for any way they could help people make their stay more enjoyable. Room was nice and very clean.
The food was truly excellent. Even the bar meals were top class. This hotel carries my highest recommendation.

We paid £80 for a seaview room. It was spacious, well furnished had a nicely kitted out bathroom. The view out of the bay window was excellent, very much worth the extra £20 for the seaview. Breakfast was quite good. Under protest I have to write that my girlfriend thought that the toast was burnt (...it wasn't!). The staff were courteous, especially the young man who checked us in and out. We also appreciated the complimently bottle of water as we checked out.

Not for the first time, we visited this hotel for a lunch with a group of retired staff. The Langham is a private hotel as opposed to a chain and the difference shows. As ever, the service was excellent. A bar was available for pre lunch drinks and, on entering the restaurant, the tables had been prepared with name places and printed menus, all provided by the hotel. The food, which was a prebooked but varied menu, was presented and served with courtesy and speed but without haste, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. One had the feeling that the staff had the interest of each guest at heart as they ensureed that everything was kept topped up but were, at no time, intrusive. There was no pressure to leave thus resulting in a most relaxing afternoon.
The hotel has easy access for wheelchairs and so is ideal for disabled guests and, directly facing the promenade, has great views of the sea and beach.
From previous experiences with this hotel I have no hesitation in recommending it to prospective guests.

We stayed here at the end of Jan whilst on personal business.
To be fair we arrived late and left after breakfast so this review is only of the room and breakfast.
The third floor rooms are fairly small and a bit dated in the furniture but spotlessly clean and had every thing we needed.
The breakfast was in the veranda room along the front and was a full service breakfast. The staff were curteous and polite.
The downstairs restaurent and lounge areas looked well furnished and comfortable. If I was to come again I would like to try out the 1st floor rooms as they look much bigger and with tall windows to take the maximum light and view from the beachfront position

This Is without doubt the best hotel in Eastbourne.everything is quality from the welcome, to the bar service, food, atmosphere, even the biscuits with your coffee are home made. Total quality from start to finish. We get so comfortable when we stay we don't want to go home.

Had a very enjoyable 4-night break at this lovely hotel and this is how hotels should be run!
The rooms were well-equipped, clean and warm, as were the friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast was taken in the conservatory with a lovely seaview and the public areas are pleasantly decorated. Well done.

Six of us sat down to a wonderfully entertaining evening,it was a hilarious function with the cast so near to the real thing. We were kept transfixed by the antics of Basil, Sybil, Manuel and of course Polly. The service and atmosphere was so friendly, and to top it all, our meal was first class. Our room was great, spotlessly clean and looked out to sea. This is a return trip and we can't wait to return. Well done the Langham.

A group of 12 of us were lucky enough to visit the Langham on 5/3/15 for their Fawlty Towers evening. We had a wonderful time with so many laughs. The service ( and I mean the real service not the service supplied by Basil, Sybil,Manuel and the very bossy Polly) was as usual, second to none. We were looked after and entertained and the food was AMAZING. Thank you Neil, Wendy and your fantastic team for another brilliant time. We will be back again very soon.

We have just returned from another lovely weekend at the Langham! First stayed in 2011 & loved it - so we were all looking forward to another visit! Great location & fantastic staff, they really are a credit to the hotel! Rooms have also been refurbished. Food was really amazing - already trying to find an excuse to go back!
Thank you again!

Had three nights in this family run hotel and enjoyed every minute. Rooms very clean, very good food and service in the restuarant. Staff generally very friendly and helpful. We would struggle to find anything to complain about and would be more than happy to stay here again.

This is our 5th visit to the hotel. I can't find any fault with this delightfully family run hotel. The reception is always buzzing with great staff. The waiters are so polite and nothing is too much to ask. Excellent food, and the housekeeping is first class.
Well done Mr and Mrs Kirby, and well done to your great team.

Once again The Team Langham has excelled itself. Nothing is too much trouble for this team of courteous and helpful staff. The quality of the accommodation is excellent and the food is of the highest standard. This is by far the best hotel in Eastbourne and I heartily recommend it to anyone wanting a successful stay in this beautiful seaside town.

Stayed with a party of 66 at this wonderful family run hotel on Eastbourne sea front, from the moment we arrived on Friday 27 Feb to the moment we departed on 1 March we were extremely well looked after. The staff were very attentive to our needs and the food and drink exceedingly excellent. The hotel has high standards reflected across the board. We will definitely visit again!

Stayed at this hotel for two nights attending a function; we received a very good welcome on arrival, assistance with luggage to the room, local knowledge shared was excellent. Unfortunately our room didn't have a sea view but had fairly recently been revamped so it was good, clean etc and our room had good sound proofing. Food quality (breakfast, bar snacks and two evening meals - one a banquet) was excellent (see dessert photo). Value, pretty good. The best point about this hotel, they try hard to ensure visitors enjoy their stay. Would I stay here again? Yes certainly. Would I recommend to others? Yes for sure.

My husband and I stayed at the Langham Hotel for one evening. On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the sea. I believe that the hotel is/has been redecorated. Our room was very sympathetically decorated and spotlessly clean with a nice en suite bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. We had an evening meal in the conservatory which was very reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast wasn't self servicewhich we both thoroughly enjoyed. It was a really pleasant break and would definitely recommend.

Family and l spent the evening at the Langham Hotel last night Magic of the Musicals with Rebecca Robinson. This was a truly magical evening and the evening meal was excellent. All the staff deserve praise from the kitchen staff, (who rarely get a mention) waiters and waitress, to the front of house. Well done the Langham, we hope to attend many more of your entertainments

We recently had a 2 night stay at this superb hotel. I think it is rated 4 stars but really should be 5. Hard to find fault in any area. The location is fantastic, facing the beach with unrestricted sea views. The building is lovely and stylish as it the interior and decor. The rooms we stayed in were south facing with sea views and were really spacious with excellent furnishing and facilities. This seems to be a family run establishment where the staff were wonderful without exception. The dining room was lovely with a great menu and brilliant food. It looks as though they have extensive al fresco bar and dining areas facing the beach. I am sure in the summer it will be blissful. We will be back.

We recently stayed at The Langham for 2 nights for a Masonic Festival weekend. From start to finish the stay was perfect! The staff offer a very warm welcome, are helpful and extremely polite. Our four poster bedroom was comfortable, spotless and had a lovley seaview. Decorated to a high standard. The food on both nights was delicious and the entertainment provided by Tempo One was of the highest quality. The dance floor was full all night! A big thank you to the owners Neil & Wendy and to all the staff at The Langham for making our weekend very special.

We booked a deal through Groupon when we arrived we were greeted by very pleasant reception staff who allowed us to have our room early. The room itself was well decorated and very clean it had an astonishing sea view.
The en suite was functional although looking slightly tired with evidence of makeovers been carried out rather than refurb. One negative thing was they had only supplied 1 bathrobe for a double room which I thought odd.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good with plenty of choice on the menu and at £18-50 for 3 courses it was extremely good value.
Our breakfast which was included with our room rate was excellent with several courses and plenty of choice.
The staff generally very polite and well presented although I wish establishments would adopt a policy that when they employ multilingual staff that they insist they must speak in English when they are in areas with guests.
We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

We stayed for one night only, although we both decided it would have been better for a week! From the moment of our arrival we were looked after like royalty! The Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The four poster bed was enormous! The evening meal was really good. We don't normally eat a four course meal, but the portions were such that we didn't feel uncomfortable. The quality of the food was delicious, the staff were attentive, but not intrusive.
Breakfast was a pleasure, good food good service and a sea view! We were even provided with decaffeinated teabags and coffee for the room, on request!
