Visited with my son and was a little apprehensive. Genuine Turkish food. Have the mixed grill. It is stunning but make sure you are hungry! Absolutely brilliant!

Visited last Friday with friends who have visited before. It was our first visit and also a first to sample Turkish cuisine. We had a warm greeting from the manager. The food was really good and we enjoyed the experience. There is a wide choice of things on the menu and every thing was served very quickly.

Myself and Mr C dropped in for an early supper before a theatre show, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table, the restaurant setting is very traditional, very clean and simple, the food is very special, you can see your food being freshly prepared just for you, fresh homemade bread is cooked for you and bought to the table, with a selection of olives, cheese and flavoured butter, trust me, this place is very special, amazing value for money, the nicest people. Please visit!

We took a chance and arrived at the restaurant without a booking and the lovely manager got us a seat very quickly. We felt like we were abroad for a few hours. From the warm hospitality to the amazing food - it was divine! The Turkish white wine was served cold and so moorish! Free Turkish bread, little pots of dips, olives and then small flabreads with lamb arrived. We had two mains due to the late hour and were blown away. I had chicken cutlets but asked for without the bulgur wheat due to an allergy. It arrived with it instead of hummus and the manager was so very sorry and took it away to deal with it straight away. There was no need to complain or hesitation. It came back in no time with the right ingredients. It was so delicious and came with so many little sides. My husband's lamb was just tender and he was incredibly pleased. We ordered a traditional dessert of thin noodles soaked in honey and nuts. It came warm with a dollop of cream on top. One of the best desserts we had in a while. The bill despite all the food and drink was reasonable. One of the best meals we had in Eastbourne. We will look you up if we are back in the area again.

We dropped by for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by this cozy friendly restaurant. We had a great family meal with mixed meze followed by different kebab dishes. Bread was served hot from the clay oven. Meat and veg are cooked on the barbecue grill in the middle of the restaurant. We even tried the deserts with the semolina cake, revani, tasted and approved by all. Highly recommend!

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and warm hospitality from the waiters, all the food we ordered was cooked fresh on the coals in front of us and even the chef was super friendly and asked us how the food was, you can taste the ingredients are very fresh and good quality, hence they are not going to be able to charge cheap prices, but you get what you pay for! I live in London and eat at lots of fancy places, so travelling in Eastbourne I wasn’t expecting much, but even for London standards this was superb! Well done you guys

What a fantastic restaurant. We sat right next to the charcoal grill and watched the chef cook all the meats. The food was fresh tender and well presented. I would say it’s the most authentic meal outside of the country I have had. Staff all very helpful, clean and tidy. Can’t wait to visit again.

Great evening meal at this lovely restaurant. We had the Meze between us and it was a choice from the starter menu, plus chicken cubes, lamb cubes, lamb rib, lamb chop, lamb kebab. Absolutely delicious.. While we were waiting we were served olives, feta and bread, and a little flat bread pizza, all free of charge. Will certainly come back here next time we are in Eastbourne.

Food at Meze was excellent, the best Turkish food I have eaten. The Turkish bread which is served with starters is impressive. I order the Kuzu Sis (tradition kabab) and my lamb was cooked to perfection slightly pink in the middle as it should be! The Andna Kabab (similar to a kofta) was the best dish, the seasoning was so good and slightly spicy glad we shared our dishes. The Guvec (lamb stew) was also really good. Everything is cooked in front of you on the hot grill or in the clay oven. Will definitely be going back to try more dishes. Thank you Meze great food and great restaurant

This was a family visit today, my first time to Meze, Eastbourne. Staff are very attentive. Bread on arrival with mixed olives served with garlic butter and cheese. I had the mixed kebab with lamb, chicken and an amazingly cooked adana kebab. Full of flavour. Bulgar wheat and onion salad was also phenomenal, coffee for afters was brilliant. And amazing meal. Will definitely return again soon. Well recommended for the locals of Eastbourne.

I go to this restaurant every time I have the chance. The place is small but very nice and clean. The atmosphere and food are authentic Turkish. From appetizers to dessert you won't be disappointed! They cook the meat in front of you and the baclava is simply amazing. The menu is wide and staff friendly

This was my first experience in a Turkish restaurant and I must say that this restaurant has set the bar extremely high! My partner and I decided to go here for our New Year’s Eve meal after reading great reviews which truly reflected what we experienced! The complimentary flatbread and mini pizzas were a lovely surprise and almost made up for the slightly expensive drinks menu. Our food did not take long once ordered. My partner and I shared a meze special which when quiried how many people this would feed the waitress said one.... be warned, this can feed 2-3 people! I wish I took a picture of the plate as it was massive. Everything was full of flavour, something which I always look for when out for a meal.
One downfall is the tight seating, we were by the window and as the restaurant is not huge they have more seating than I think is needed to make the guests comfortable while eating. However, the ambience and attentive staff made this an even more enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend this hidden treasure in Eastbourne to any and everyone visiting.
