I cannot rate this turkish restaurant highly enough. We go regularly and the standard is always high, the food always rastes delicious and i have tried several dishes. The staff are friendly but best of alk is the chef who sits at the grill in the restaurant and you can see your food cooking. I recommend the fish dishes.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. The owners were really helpful and assisted us with ordering. We had a mixed meze, shrimp and halloumi to start and mixed grills for main courses. They were very large portions and it tasted amazing. The food is cooked in an open kitchen so you can see everything.

Picked this restaurant based on reviews on Tripadvisor. We were glad we did! A short walk away from main roads, but what a great find: good quality food, reasonably prized. And the staff were very friendly. Would definitely go again.

My partner & I visited today (Monday) around 4.30pm, we had rung around various restaurants & a lot were closed, we had specifically wanted to visit a Turkish restaurant while away in Eastbourne but was told by a local there weren't any nearby. Found this place doing a google search! We were a little apprehensive as we have an amazing Turkish back home & we were worried it wouldn't compare! But we were pleasantly surprised! The decor made us feel welcome & cosy. The guy welcomed us in (presumably the owner) & was very friendly & had a good sense of humour! We were well looked after & unlike many places they didn't not rush us! We had bread & olives free of charge & humus & a spicy dip to start, large portion, plenty for 2. We had the mixed grill for our mains! A huge portion of chicken, lamb & Adana! It was absolutely perfect, couldn't fault it & we both agreed it blew our Turkish back home out of the water!! It was a lovely way to end our long weekend away!!

It was almost 11 PM and we tried to have late dinner in other restaurants. Everywhere one answer: kitchen is closed. In Meze they made quick look in the kitchen and welcomed us warmly with free small plates with olives, spreads and bread. I had one of best lambs - fresh, tender, full of flavor and served directly from charcoal grill. We had humus and other small appetisers - all tasty and remaining me food I had in Istanbul.

We were exploring the city on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and we were very hungry so my husband suggested that we try Meze for lunch.
It was AMAZING, we were the only ones there as we were between lunch and dinner times. We loved the puffy pita bread but our meals were the best. We had lamb kebab with a tomato sauce (I wish I could remember which menu item it was) but it was so very flavorful and tender.
Topped it off with a cup of Turkish tea.
I would highly recommend eating here.

Went here on Saturday evening for my mums 55th birthday... what a gem this place is!! I lived in Eastbourne for many years previously and I wish I had visited before! Not only was the hospitality out of this world but the food was outstanding! We had a selection of breads and dips to start followed by the biggest platter of meat I have ever seen! Succulent chicken, melt in the mouth lamb - a feast fit for a king! There was 13 of us in a little area by the window - very traditional and it felt as tho we were on holiday in turkey! These guys do it - and do it well .... thank you to all the staff! You guys are amazing and you will be seeing us again! nothing was to much trouble and you truly made it a night to remember!

We booked this tradition Turkish restaurant for my wife's birthday last week.
All I can say is it was like hosting a party in your best friends house. The owner and manager Farouk treated us like we were family. Not an arrangement or request was denied. There were 14 of us. With a couple of young children mixed into the group. Not one of us wouldn't go back and repeat the whole thing again. The food was pre chosen and ordered by my wife with Farouks help. The full Meze platters were the only way to go. This consisted of puffed breads, olives, spreads. A huge selection of cold starters and dips. Main course was yet another platter. This was all grilled meats. Lamb chops and lamb ribs, cubes of lamb and chicken, kofte kebab, chicken wings, and grilled vegetables. This too was accompanied by more breads and big plates of salad. With music and drinks flowing we had an amazing time. Traditional Turkish wine did not stop. After the cake came the liqueur shots that carried on till the early hours. We were delighted. Treated as though we were family. I hope Farouk and his family enjoyed having us there as much as we enjoyed being there. Because we are coming back. ... SOON...!

We went for a lunchtime meal. The welcome was warm, the decor is restrained but "Turkish". The food was excellent and copious. The Turkish house wine was competitively priced and very drinkable. Altogether, a great meal ~ our 2nd visit here and not the last...

its a really good high quality restaurant and the personal is very friendly :) I recommend Beyti Lahmacun and Adana(Beyti and adana is similar) if you want a real turkish drink try ayran if you want real turkish drink with alcohol try raki
