Our welcome on arrival could have been a little better, but to be honest, it felt a little bit like we were intruding. We asked if we could sit at the bar to have a drink and were politely told that we could sit at the table, we would be served there. This we did and waited for the rest of our party to arrive.
We had all chosen our meals in advance to make life easier for the staff so this was helpful with the service. The minestrone soup was nice , more like a thick vegetable soup but nice nevertheless. My lasagna was also quite nice. The overall service left a little to be desired, but for a family friendly venue it was fine. I wouldn't put this venue on my list to visit time and time again, but it was ok for one evening

We have been to this restaurant several times before going to the theatre up the road. The experience has never disappointed. Food is always good honest homely italian fare, price is reasonable and service is attentive and friendly, even when it is busy.

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant, offering excellent value for money. Menu is comprehensive, with vegetarian and gluten free options. Staff are professional and welcoming. Very good wine list. If you plan to go on a Saturday evening, I would urge booking first. Pomodoro has a lot of regular customers. On occasions when you don't want to go out, you can order a take-away pizza, which is delicious.

Visited here with friends and couldn't have found a better place. The atmosphere was amazing, very homely, attentive waiters and beautifully cooked food that tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an authentic Italian meal.

I had a meal with friends at Christmas time and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The set menu was excellent (both quality and value for money) and catered well for our veggie tastes - although there were lots of great meat options for those wanting it too!
The service was attentive and efficient, yet it was relaxed and friendly. All staff members were Italian and this created an authentic experience in the heart of Eastbourne.I will be back and I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting some superb Italian cuisine.

There were seven of us for Dinner. We were starved and came to Pomodoro e Mozzarella because a theatre goer met on the street recommended it to us. He was absolutely right. The food was tasty, flavorful and well presented. The service was attentive and the plates came without delay but without urgency. Just right ! A great night out in Eastbourne.

Visited on a Friday evening, greeted with a lovely friendly service , great atmosphere , the food had incredible presentation, presentation is key as it sets the tone of the meal. Food came out fairly quickly and was hot and had lots of amazing flavours and textures.

Fantastic again! We came early evening on New Year’s Eve. They were clearly gearing up for a busy evening but were still very attentive to us and the food was excellent as always. Great service, atmosphere and price. Always know what you will get here and that’s why it’s always so well attended. Thank you for a lovely experience again.

Christmas Eve tradition we always join friends here for a post Panto meal. This restaurant won’t win a Michelin Star but never disappoints - service is super friendly, food good quality and atmosphere great. Somewhere you can laugh and joke without fear of upsetting anyone - perfect for families with children.

When another new local restaurant let us down on my wife's 60th Birthday, we came back to one of our favourite restaurants Pomodoro e Mozzarella, to celebrate again and as always, things were perfect. They are welcoming, the service is friendly & efficient and they cater for my no salt diet, without any issue. A sign of a good restaurant is the dishes are freshly cooked. The food, as always was outstanding and the waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to my wife with her desert and presented her with a card and a 10% off voucher for a future meal. This family owned business and their sister restaurant La Locanda Del Duca are a credit to Eastbourne and thank goodness they are located here. They never disappoint you and you can depend on a warm welcome, good service and good food. You cannot ask for anything more.

I was part of a large group booking 90+ diners. We had pre-ordered main course and deserts from a choice of 7 mains (including 2 vegetarian) and 5 desserts.

A fantastic place to eat on any occasion. Excellent front of house staff and excellent chefs! By far my favourite place to eat in Eastbourne. Fresh good quality food with a wide range of choices on the menu. Excellent selection of drinks and fantastic service.
