We were staying in Eastboure and saw this restaurant, just 5 minutes walk from the main Promenade. Sunday lunch time and we were lucky to get a table for two! Excellent freshly prepared food, good portions, and really tasty. Service was smooth and quick. Two days later we revisited with two friends, so this time it was 4 very satisfied and happy people.

Have had a beautiful meal here the service was excellent, the food just as good the surroundings spot on, just a little constructive criticism put some traditional Italian breads on the table to dunk into those delicious leftover sauces created

Visiting Eastbourne area for couple of days and came across this restaurant close to our hotel. I have to say I’m not keen on Italian food after a very bad experience in Venice years ago ..... a poor meal, hugely expensive with condescending service.
This gem of a restaurant showed me what real Italian food and service is all about.Wonderful food served in a great atmosphere by people who care.
How they produce beautifully presented food like this at these prices amaze me.I only wish this restaurant and these great people were located in my part of the world. The people who live in Eastbourne don’t realise how lucky they are .... or maybe they do! Hope so.

Really like this restaurant. Staff are always friendly and the service is quick.
Food is good and it is well priced.
I love the fact that they also have real table clothes and material napkins!
If you have a ticket for the theatre you also get a 10% discount.

Everything you could wish for in an Italian restaurant. This was the "find" of our recent trip to Eastbourne. It gets packed, so booking for the evening is advisable. PS- the Pizzas are escepcially good !

My daughter and I wanted a pre theatre meal which offered a variety of vegan options. Our starters and pizzas were delicious both vegan and vegetarian. To top it all with our theatre tickets we got 10% off the cost of our meal. It's a lively, friendly restaurant with efficient staff.

We visited here earlier in the year and this time came back twice. Set menu - prawn cocktail, sea bass, tiramisu is a steal. Other options are available. Speedy, pleasant service and a lucky find.

A really enjoyable meal. This restaurant is very busy so service is a little slow but the waiters are excellent.
In summary a very consistent good quality meal but a little over busy. The tables depending on where you sit can be a little close to each other.
Absolutely no complaints and definitely would recommend

Fab food thats very good value for money. Extensive menu and nothing too much trouble.
Such as being seated when busy despite not booking and food allergies handled well. Worth a visit and not far from the front.

We went to Pomodoro e Mozzarella for a birthday of a family member. It was on a Friday evening and the place was buzzing at 18:00! Completely packed, but luckily we had booked. Four of us chose the 3 course Set Menu and the fifth person wanted to chose the 2 course Set Menu, but the waiter advised to pay the two selected courses separately as it would turn out cheaper in this case than with the Set Menu price. Fair and honest advise like that increase the trust instantly!
The food arrived very fast despite the huge amount of people in the restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! All four that had a starter ordered the "Melanzane alla parmigiana" (Layers of baked aubergine, tomato, fior di latte mozzarella and grana padano cheese). A big portion of very tasty aubergine and we knew we were in the right place! The main courses and deserts were equally tasty and the portions were perfectly sized. For the desert, the waiters put a candle on Tiramisu for our birthday guest and wholeheartedly sang "Happy Birthday" in the full restaurant. A lovely touch and our elderly Birthday "Girl" was deeply moved by it.
We had a great night with really good food for a very fair price. We were looked after well by the very attentive and helpful staff and if I could I would give more than 5 Stars! We will definitely be back!

Upon arrival, the restaurant was very busy but this was an excellent sign! The three course set menu was just £13.70 for three courses. I have had set menus in other places before and the portion sizes were smaller,. Not here, the size of the pizza was ample! Beautiful presentation of the food, along with superb service. The staff never stopped to stand still, always moving around and caring for the customers.

We had been to the matinee performance at the Devonshire Park so arrived around 5pm. We normally go next door to Locanda del Duca which wasn't open. It was quite busy but we could get a table okay. Quite a buzz which I like.
We both chose the 3-course set menu for £13.70. Hubbie had the garlic mushrooms to start which were good but crying out for some bread to dip into the garlic butter. I had tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. Following on we had spaghetti carbonara and sea bass on crushed potatoes and tomato sauce - both meals were enjoyable. For dessert a tiramisu which was delicately flavoured and profiteroles. Chocolate sauce and ice cream were good but choux pastry like cardboard. With a bottle of wine it came to £45. No service charge added which is good as it leaves you to add your own.Service was prompt, polite and efficient with loads of staff on duty. By the time we left it was very busy so probably best to book beforehand. Lots of pizzas were coming out as well.
If you want everyday food at a fantastic price go here but for a more upmarket experience I would recommend next door.
