We eat here twice during our 3 day stay in Eastbourne. The food was excellent along with the efficiency of the staff. We were well impressed with the Sun to Thursday 3 course meal for under £12.

On a recent stay in Eastbourne, we dined here for 3 nights. On each occasion the food was excellent and the service was speedy despite it being very busy. Good choice of gluten free options on the menu. We would thoroughly recommend.

We have eaten here on several occasions, the food is always good and they are usually busy especially on a Saturday evening so you need to book. On this visit we took a friend and I think they forgot us after our main course and did not bring the dessert menu and we were going to the theatre. Normally the service is fine and we allowed ample time to eat and arrive at the theatre with time to spare. Unfortunately this time it was a rush and made what should have been a very relaxed evening a little anxious. Certainly would go back but allow more time if you are going to the theatre.

My nephew and niece's choice, apparently their fave. Typical warm Italian welcome and throughout, all staff were very inclusive of the children. Service was charming and efficient. We opted for the 2 courses for £10:50 which turned out to be excellent value. The children ate adult portions, I will put that down to them loving the food here..... Between us we had Mushrooms cooked with extra virgin olive oil, garlic and parsley, Bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, garlic and basil and a beautifully presented Prawn salad. 4 clean plates!! I have to say the mushrooms were delicious and a very generous sized starter. For main we had 2 pizza margheritas and 2 pizza al formaggio di capra (Tomato sauce, goat’s cheese, red onion marmalade and sun-dried tomatoes). Portions are large - only the very sporty & hungry 12 year old managed a clean plate! The pizza al formaggio di capra is rich and whilst I loved the red onion marmalade with the goats cheese, the tomato taste was a tad overpowering.
No room for dessert that was for sure!
Our family experience was very good. If you are looking for a venue to suit a family that enjoy their food, then I would say give here a go.

I have been eating there frequently since it opened 12 years ago, and I have never been disappointed. The waiters are all polite and efficient, and the owner takes a friendly interest in all diners. The food service is prompt during the lunch-hour when I usually visit - I don't know about the evenings.
This isn't the very finest dining experience, but the food is always good quality and well cooked at a reasonable price.

We walked in and explained to the friendly lady at the counter that we had only 20 minutes to order, eat and pay as we had to be at the theatre by 7p.m. We asked if they would be able to help us and she said yes and led us to a table. We asked for a pizza neopolitana to share. This came in about 5 minutes. I was expecting one plate and two knives and forks, but they had cut the pizza in half and put each half on a separate plate. We ate it quickly, drank the drinks that had been brought over to us, and then I got up and paid the bill, which was already prepared. All that and with a smile. I liked the pizza (I think, although had to eat it so quickly I don't think I'm qualified to give an expert opinion.) Many thanks to all - and we did get to the theatre in time.

Visited yesterday with my husband and was overwhelmed firstly by the decor and not in a good way. Too much blue and yellow everywhere you look. We asked for a table for two and was asked if a window seat would be ok , before we had a chance to accept or disagree we were led to it anyway. The waiter gave me the impression we were taking up too much of his valuable time. The menu boasts that rhey cater for those with gluten allergies , which I do so I asked for a gluten free lasagne. The response I got to the request made me feel that I had just made the most outlandish request ever heard on the premises. I was half expecting my request to be met with the words "Don't be so preposterous! " My husband wanted to make up his own pizza from a variety of meat toppings which they accomodated until they brought the pizza over and we found his request had not been met at all. We sent the pizza back and by the time it arrived as required my lasagne was already half eaten. I scalded my mouth on the microwave warmed up pizza. How can I tell it was not fresh and warmed in a microwave? Simple ; sizzling on the outside and barely warm in the centre. For all this pleasure we paid the hefty sum of £28 , the only drinks we had was a glass of Coke at £2-10 and a bottle of water at three pounds a throw. So I brought mine home with me.At that price I would expect a set of tumblers to be thrown in gratis!!! Not impressed at all and won't be going back there.

We have eaten here before so we knew we were in for a good time and the team at Pomodoro did not let us down, we ate from the 3 course set menu which had plenty of choice and the quality of food was great. The homemade Lasagne was excellent and the Chicken Milanese was fab, big portions with plenty of flavour and very authentic. Make this restaurant a. Priority visit when in Eastbourne.

We go to this restaurant once a year when we are in Eastbourne. It is absolutely always reliable with very friendly staff, very fast service, good wholesome food. Best advised to book as we have never seen it when it wasn't choc-a-bloc. This year they honoured a tatty old 10% voucher from last year!

Brilliant! The best thing was the food and the service is friendly especially with children they always make you feel welcome. The price is a little expensive but it is worth it.

We had an evening meal and it was good. It was well presented and good portions.
The price of the set menus was attractive with a good choice.
We would choose it again for a casual meal. It was very busy, a good sign.

Went here for the usual monthly after work wind down with the girls. We were all watching the pennies and not too hungry as it was only 5.30pm. We went for the smaller pizzas starting from £6 and a glass of wine. More than enough if you're not looking for a full blow out.
The pizzas were "about 8inches", as the cheeky Italian waiter pointed out with a slight smile. The whole atmosphere in there was like being on your summer hols with the bright blue and yellow décor.
Only criticism is that the rest of the menu seemed expensive, I think they could offer some more deals for the early bird, the restaurant was busy for the time of day but I think they could be full if they offered a deal for the earlier crowd. (Especially since it is so close to the theatre)Overall I would go back as the pizza was goooooooooooooood!!

Such a busy, friendly place to eat, gotta book although the restaurant space is massive. Very friendly staff, good fun and good food at very reasonable prices; ditto wine. Excellent value for money.

Returned twelve months after our first visit while on holiday in Eastbourne and enjoyed it just as much. This is our type of Italian restaurant quite noisy but a great atmosphere. There is a three course menu for £19- £20 which is great value. We found the portions generous and the service good.

This place is so popular that you really must book if you want to go. There are lots of tables but it is regularly full of families and couples who go time and again. It's noisy, busy and full of life so not the place for a romantic dinner. However, the food is very good - I usually have pasta and salad which are always excellent and their pizzas are very popular. Go for it!

A very good place to eat. Dropped in for a quick Sunday lunch. Food excellent and unlike many pizza places plenty of staff to take your order and delivery the food quickly.
Pizza as it should be – paper-thin and tasty toppings. Good value for money – the tennis was on in Eastbourne so was rather busy.Only disappointment was the lemonade, better quality products can be found. Overall worth its ‘excellent rating’.
