WE went to this show not knowing who Elio Pace was, simply liking Billy Joel's music. What a sensational night we had!!! The band and Elio were fantastic and the audience reacted accordingly. It was a 'stand-up' rave from start to finish, and now I am in my eighties, do not rave at too much. WELL DONE HIPPODROME, never a poor show. Keep it up, you have my support.

We first saw this show at the RHT in 2014 and have been over the country to see them. This is the 3rd time at RHT and he told us on Friday that there maybe 2 nights next year, we'll be at both of them!!

A really friendly venue with an excellent show. Much enjoyed!! The theatre could do with some upgrading and urgently needs the money to do it. We hope they get it!!

Came here with my 10 year old son for a community theatre production of Annie.Front of house staff are volunteers and do a great job. I love this old theatre. It must be preserved as part of our local heritage. The show was amazing with wonderful performances from all. We were blown away by the quality of the production.

I brought my 2 children to watch Annie. I thought the theatre was lovely, a old building with character just how s theatre should be. Nice seats with a good view. Booster seat available for my daughter. Good variety of drinks and snacks for sale. Only negative is not enough ladies toilets. Big big queue and not enough time in interval to go to toilet, buy drinks etc before show started again. And parking near the theatre was a nightmare even dropping off and picking up is difficult and dangerous on main road with young children. Overall a good experience.

Lovely, friendly little theatre with an exciting but relaxing atmosphere. Could do with a little TLC here and there to restore it to its former glory.

We visited Eastbourne with our 3 children, 6,7 & 8 years to watch Annie at the Hippodrome. We visited the pier first and as the weather was so lovely which was amazing considering end of October we sat at a table and ate fish and chips, we had a lovely walk then went and found the theatre. The theatre looks quite shabby from the outside but once your inside it is ok, it is a lovely small theatre and was a perfect first theatre visit for my son. The staff very very helpful, plenty of booster seats, clean toilets. The show was fantastic my children loved it and I have to say the singing was brilliant. We were very impressed.

Went to see "Annie" last week and thoroughly enjoyed the superbly presented 'community theatre' musical. I loved it and hope to see many more projects from this company. It was extremely good value for money at £15 for adults and £10 for children. Can't moan about that as a good price for quality live entertainment. Yes, the building is old and in need of refurbishment, I quite liked it but appreciate refurbishment is a must to stop it falling into disrepair further. Hopefully, funding for this will be forthcoming very soon as it would be a great shame to see this delightful theatre disappear completely. The Hippodrome staff are, I understand, mostly volunteers and presume they are so because of their love for this theatre. They were courteous, friendly and helpful and all in all a very good experience.

This show was excellent myself, my 3 year old daughter & 9 year old son loved it. The only thing I would say is that we were in the dress circle and the sound did not really travel very well, could have been a bit louder & clearer, but overall it didn't spoil show.
