I have seen a number of shows at the Hippodrome in the last year. However, the recent production of Beauty and the Beast was absolutely wonderful. It was a thoroughly polished production and my granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tickets were very reasonably priced and I would certainly book for future shows. it is so important to keep this theatre as a community amenity. Well done to all the cast and volunteers!

Amazing old theatre great atmo and the show was fantastic but the theatre smelt really bad when you walked in 😯 I know it's a very old building but it smelt musky and stale. Maybe carpets and seats need cleaning and some air fresheners .. The children moaned about it the whole time!

My 3 year old and 1 year old daughter and I came to see Beauty and the Beast which was lovely but I must say the theatre staff was fantastic. Very helpful, very friendly, always smiling. It was our first visit to RHT but we will be back.

Wonderful introduction. To the theatre for the grand children, who already knew the story from the film and the book, great interaction from the cast with the audience.looking forward to future visits.

The Royal Hippodrome Theatre is a beautiful if run down theatre that desperately requires investment to return it to its former glory. it caters for both the holiday trade and the local community and as well as visiting a show you can take a fascinating tour of the premises, they even showed us the trap doors used by Harry Houdini! As a local resident i dearly hope that the money is found to repair this theatre.

my husband and myself had a great evening at the hippodrome the staff are friendly and showed us to our seats also to the bar and anything else we needed to know. although an old theatre it was so nice not to big it felt just right.the 4tunes who we went to see are brilliant .

Saw the 4 tunes at the Royal Hippodrone theatre and really enjoyed the evening. They are fantastic singers with a wide variety of music to suit all tastes. We love the venue itself for its history and quirky grandeur . The staff are so helpful and jolly . Fabulous night!

Was really impressed with all the hard work so far gone into the theatre. Really clean and tidy. Could not fault. Show was good. Keep up the good work. Needs more support to be one of our better theatres in the town.

Me and my family absolutely love this theatre. We have been to various shows and last night had the pleasure of seeing the 4tunes here. It was wonderfully atmospheric, we were sat near to the back of the stalls and still felt we were in touching distance, great view!! Staff always extremely helpful, this theatre is the best and hosts amazing shows and performances. Don't delay, visit today

Because it is enthusiastically supported by volunteers, it's able to stage incredible shows at low prices, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy live theatre. The management team are also signing up some exceptional acts / shows which you would expect to find at much larger commercial theatres. I strongly urge you to keep an eye on their programme and visit this great venue as soon as you can!
