Very funny pantomime fun. Enjoyed by adults and children alike. Excellent audience interaction. Using projection as the scenery was very effective. The final 'dance' sequence had all of the audience up on their feet.

We had a really enjoyable evening. Cast was great...not laughed so much in ages. Would recommend highly. Don't miss this gem!

This is such a lovely theatre and should be used 364 days a year. Stunning. Such a shame that parking is a nightmare, some kerb parking with less double yellow lines around this area would certainly improve the situation!!

We enjoyed a great night at the Royal Hippodrome for The Johnny Cash Tribute show and the theatre was almost full.
Special thanks to the lovely lady running the bar on her own she worked very hard and did a great job making us very welcome while serving our drinks.
Will visit this theatre again soon as its a great place for a live show.

Johnny Cash Roadshow tribute show, 13th March, 2015. Brilliant show, great music, fantastic artists. Love coming to this theatre. The staff are so friendly, and the cost is usually much cheaper than the Congress, with just as good shows, and a great variety for all ages. You can choose which seats you want on-line, very easy. Will be visiting again soon.

We really enjoyed the music by the Johnny Cash tribute band. The volunteer staff at the theatre were all very friendly and we enjoyed a drink in the bar in the interval. We will definitely be back.

Brilliant evening. Small venue made it feel as if the artist was among the audience. Joe maceldrey gave a good evenings entertainment.

Had not visited this theatre before, and the exterior is a little off putting, but was really impressed. Absolutely lovely theatre, beautifully kept, and the staff were absolutely charming and so helpful. Saw Joe McElderry, who put on a terrific show. All in all a great night out. Would definitely visit again, highly recommended

This was our second visit to this fabulous theatre, the first being just the week before for the EODS play, which was superbly performed by the cast. The second show was Joe McEderry, which again was fantastic and for both shows, the theatre was a brilliant choice. Intimate and you felt truly as if you were in the heart of the performance. We have lived in Eastbourne for over 4 years and have visited the Congress and Devonshire Park Theatres many times, but have overlooked the Hippodrome, which we feel was a great mistake. There are many events going on in this iconic theatre and we need to keep them supported, to ensure that the future of this venue is assured. It would an absolute tragedy if this was allowed to close and full marks to whoever runs it and the volunteers for keeping it going.

Me and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed watching Aladdin, our best bit was when the characters came out to say hello in the interval and the fantastic magic carpet. The staff were very friendy. We will be visiting again.

Had a really enjoyable time at RHT last Friday. Took my mother and 3 of my grandchildren who also really enjoyed the show. I always love going to this theatre as the atmosphere is always good whatever the show and the staff are very friendly.

What a wonderful theatre. a real piece of history that is staffed by volunteers who make everyone feel so welcome. They could not be more helpful in terms of looking after the children.

I have attended numerous shows here with my grand daughter (age 3) and it is a great way to prepare her for visiting bigger more impersonal venues in the future.
The show as always was bright and cheerful and everything is done with real enthusiasm.
Please keep it up RHT, Eastbourne will be a sadder place without you.

I'd planned to bring my grandchildren but was unable to go at the last minuter so my son and daughter in law took them. I received a phone call from my 6 year old grandson telling me it was 'brilliant'. They loved the flying carpet and the genie and particularly enjoyed the interaction with the cast during the interval. This is the second production they've see - ('Little Mermaid' last year) - and we will definitely bring them again.

The Royal Hippodrome Theatre is an elegant, Victorian venue with a delightful atmosphere and the shows they put on there are brilliant!
'The Little Mermaid' was utterly enchanting, children and adults alike were mesmerised by it! The casting was spot-on and the whole cast were incredibly talented.
'A Christmas Cracker' was also a delightful, captivating show filled with humour, warmth and love!
The talent on display in this stunning theatre is not to be missed!
I thoroughly recommend it to young and old alike!

The Adele tribute show at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre was really great. A fabulous atmosphere and a phenomenal performance by Helen. It's great that this old theatre is getting a new life in Eastbourne and although some aspects need a little work, the overall experience is really good.

This was the second time my 8 year old grandson and I had been to see The Little Mermaid. We saw it back in February 2014. It was just as much fun the second time around.
The characters coming out in the break was a big hit and he had fun with the bad 'eels'.
I recommended it to friends, who also enjoyed it.
We're looking forward to Aladdin in February.
The theatre is wonderful - old fashioned, intimate and friendly, with helpful staff.
