Treated by my son.... a fantastic evening... warm welcome and atmosphere.. great food choices on the menu. Superb service from friendly staff.
I recommend the chicken satay with their own special sauce followed by the roast duck soaked in an orange and honey sauce..... Yum! Wonderful flavours and good quantity. The green chicken curry looked and smelt amazing which I am going to defiantly order the next time I go.
If you enjoy good Thai food then this little gem is not to be missed. LOVED IT.

Love this little Thai restaurant. Food is always delicious, staff & service attentive,. Particularly good for a pre-theatre supper, just mention you're on a tighter time frame and they are happy to oblige. Highly recommended

I have been visiting this restaurant since it first opened in 2012. My wife & I visited it again last night and it was lovely to chat with the owner, May. The staff are very friendly & attentive without being overpowering & the food is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant & consider it the best Thai in Eastbourne.

Pre-booked as it was pretty busy. Having eaten there I can now see why !! We had meal for two ''A'' version @ £15pp
Starter was excellent, spring rolls, a very special sesame toast with a thin slice of chicken (never had that before!!),prawn crackers and chilli and peanut dips. Mains were: noodles with chicken. steamed rice, pork and ginger(exceptional dish)green curry with chicken. Plenty enough for two and I have a big appetite !! under £40 with drinks. Fantastic value and lovely service too

Got a table without booking - arrived early in the evening. Pleasing decor. Polite service.
We ordered using the menu numbers.
Starters tasty - duck spring rolls & calamari
Mains - partner had Jungle Curry with beef which he really enjoyed with the coconut rice.
I'd ordered a pad dish with chicken which was nice but not quite how I expected it to be. This was explained when we got the bill as I'd ordered a different dish to the one itemised.
Not much of a gap between starters being cleared and mains served.

Another fantastic meal at Saibaidee the Thai restaurant. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The food is excellent, full of flavour and fresh. In my opinion the best Thai restaurant in Eastbourne. Would recommend.

Called in on the off chance of getting a table. Luckily we managed to get one. Very nice staff, there only appeared to be 2 of them but even though it got really busy the service was still spot on. The food was wonderful and piping hot. We will be making regular visits in the future.

We ate here on the evening of my birthday in July. The location of the restaurant is great, near the sea front on a pleasant street. I had read that it was the highest rated Thai restaurant in Eastbourne and it did not disappoint.
Myself and my girlfriend felt welcome and well looked after during our meal. We ate a good amount of food, portions were great (not too much, not too little) and the bill felt reasonable for the uality of the food and the service received. We gladly left a tip!
If there was a negative, it was that for me the atmosphere was a little too loud and the restaurant feels crowded. One of the issues with success and a good reputation is that you are always in demand I suppose, but they really could do with more space and I imagine regularly have to turn people away. Tables further apart would have been perfect!
When we next visit Eastbourne - we will return!

Visited on 26 june. Mostly all tables were reserved already due to tennis being on but as were just 2 and hungry we were found a table. Service was prompt. Super friendly and courteous and food was delicious. Had starters, weeping tiger (steak) and a chicken dish for main and dessert and very reasonable. Would leave the desserts and stick to the pure thai cuisine which was delicious. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a restaurant for a bit to eat pre theatre and came across this place.
I was rather apprehensive at first as it was empty but the menu looked good so we decided to try it and glad that we did.
The staff were attentive but not over so and the food was very good and tasty.
Toilets are good and very clean.
Would like to try this place again sometime and would definitely recommend that you try it here.
Enjoy.

we revisited Sabaidee for the first time in 12 months as we don't live locally. A weekend away in Eastbourne wouldn't be complete without a visit here for us. Agreed with other reviewers that the food appeared incredibly quickly, we'd barely touched the prawn crackers before the starters arrived, not detrimental to the night, but we like to make a meal last with some breathing space between courses, this was the only negative of the visit. The starters, thai fish cakes and chicken satay were delicious as were the mains, weeping tiger and pah praod koh chicken (33) on the menu, We had egg fried rice as a side which was lovely. Next time we return Sabaidee will be one of the first on the places to book, Service was very good, nice chatty staff, well done Sabaidee

We had dinner here for the first time last Friday, we had a very enjoyable meal but service was very quick and we were out within the hour. Starters came very quickly after ordering and main came out quickly too. The food was good, and tasty. If u want quick service, good food and short evening this is a good place for you.

Last minute booking so very pleased we managed to get a table. Despite being really busy the service was excellent and the food superb, great choice for vegetarians. Highly recommended and if we return to Eastbourne we will definitely eat her again.

Very substantial starters - we were warned! We had tempura vegetables and spring rolls to start. One starter between two would have sufficed for us. Followed by prawn green curry and chicken in oyster sauce. I asked for the curry to be mild as too much heat spoils the flavour for me. Service was very friendly and efficient. We'll be back.

Promising start. Tom Yum soup with prawns was delicious. However... Vegetarian spring rolls had no flavour and the green curry with THREE prawns was bland, bland, bland. Asked for fresh chilli to spice it up.

Will not be going back.

This is consistently the best Thai Restaurant in Eastbourne. The food is always great and having been here on numerous occasions have never been disappointed and for those who might like their food to be more spicy this is always possible on request. But it's not only the food that is traditionally Thai so is the service, you could almost be in Thailand with the warmth of the smiles and the hospitality you receive. Thanks as always to Sabaidee for another great night!!

We called in on Friday 19th April before going to the theatre. The waitress was very accommodating especially as we had not booked and it was a busy Bank holiday.
We were shown to a bright and airy table in the window and explained that we were a little tight for time as we were going to the theatre. Nothing was too much trouble with drinks served immediately and our food only a few minutes later.
Service was attentive without being intrusive and always very efficient. It was a real pleased to be served by the lovely waitresses who were always smiling and happy.
We will definitely be back.

We had dinner at the Sabaidee last night. We booked before, which is advisable as it's very busy Saturday night. We arrived at 6pm and we're met by the wonderful staff. The seating is "compact" but once you get comfortable and meet the new neighbors, all's well. The food was delicious and plates were hot too. Wine range was good and we had a bottle of white Rioja which complemented the food. Despite being a tight fit, we had a good meal and would be happy to go back again.

On behalf of all of us we would like to thank Sabaidee for a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all and our waitress was kind and attentive. Sabaidee are also members of EHA so if you are staying at a member hotel or guest house ask about "Passport to Eastbourne" where you can get a discount! Highly recommended!

There’s nothing wrong with this restaurant, only criticism is that the food came up on cold crockery so was soon very luke warm.
I think the chilli heat has been reduced for the Eastbourne palate? Asked for the normal 4 condiments you get in a Thai restaurant (or should do!) as in Thailandand they were a bit puzzled? Eventually brought some chillies in a fish sauce which was fine.
Don’t accept Amex cards

We have enjoyed some good Thai food with friendly service.
Lunch time specials are a real bargain and include a glass of wine.
