We had a wonderful day at sovereign harbour east bourne.with plenty of places to choose where we eat we went for a boat ride all around to see all the beautiful hatches. The weather was on our side which helped

This is quite a walk from the centre of Eastbourne but on a nice day, a very pleasant one. There are a number of hi stoic attractions along the way including the old Redoubt Fort and the Martello Tower 66 and the entrance has an interesting double entry lock system.
The marina is attractive and has a number of restaurants which should cater for every taste. We enjoyed our visit and and watching the gentle passage of time from a waterfront bar.

A lovely place to enjoy the sunshine, to see all manner of boats, to walk along the beautiful pathways, to sit at one of the numerous cafes for breakfast with a waterside view, to meet friends for a coffee and a chat.

Nice and clean marina, with a selection of bars and restaurants. It can be very busy when the weather is nice. Usually quite windy. When the tide is out there are often a couple of seals basking on the muddy banks just outside of the locks.

Lots of places to eat and the lock gates and harbour are interesting....of the tides out you can sit on the pebbles. Even managed to see come seals today!
