Staying in Eastbourne we were just out exploring when we saw the signs for the Marina and thought we would take a look. This is quite an impressive complex with Bars, Restaurants and coffee shops along with some well known larger retail outlets. We stopped at a little Italian Restaurant - can't remember the name- and had some of the best coffee and cake I can remember. Excellent experience all round

We only had a walk around here, so no comment on the shops or restaurants. Walking around the marina wasn't the easiest thing in the world, as the way wasn't always obvious (despite my cunning plan on keeping the water to our left). It was pleasant when the path was obvious, though it was a very windy day, which made it quite noisy due to the rigging on the boats banging about in the wind. If you knew your way, I would rate it as a 4 star walk, but not knowing, only 3. Interesting to see an old naval patrol boat and a modern lifeboat in the marina, but not exactly Monaco harbour for big yachts,

I am lucky to live if close proximity to other marinas on the south coast and unfortunately this one does not come close. That said, it is lovely to wander around and admire the luxury boats and fabulous properties. For me the shopping is really disappointing but there is a fair selection of eateries to choose from.

We chose to travel by bus whilst staying in central Eastbourne, I would recommend visiting by car for a more convenient journey - or boat if you are lucky enough to have one!

My family & I visit the harbour loads during the summer months!!! We absolutely love it!!
It's so pretty!!
A lovely place to stroll around & if your lucky you will see the resident seals!!!
The only thing that lets it down is the bad dog owners who let their dogs foul & not pick it up

The Harbour marina is a wonderful place to visit and sit and have a coffee or a meal whilst watching the boats, especially when it is sunny. you can take boat trips around the harbour and to other areas along the south coast. There are some good shops to buy souveneir's and gifts. There is also free parking which is a bonus.

I have lived in the harbour for 13 years so I enjoy the local area, the main issue is the number of restaurants and other outlets let the harbour down .During the summer or any decent weather it gets too busy but outside of these times it is Ok .There is a good selection of eateries and bars and a nice walk along the beach and the locks is enjoyable, keep an eye out for the local seals during low tide

Summer or winter, there is always a good atmosphere on the harbour. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a few shops to browse. Harbour trips on the boat or just sit and watch the world go by. Extremely busy in the summer.

A lovely marvel of modern engineering, this harbour houses some fantastic yachts and some rather lovely harbour view apartment complexes. Overall nothing special but worth a visit.

Been here a number of times, both in all seasons of the year. In the Summer you can get a boat ride round the Marian and a commentary from them about various facets from costs of apartments, to impressive yachts that don't move from one year to another-just status symbols?
There is a variety of eating establishments, but not all of them are open in the winter months.
In nice sunny weather its a grand place to eat and drink or talk a walk right round even over the lock gates that connect out to the sea.

Luckily for me I lived here from 2001 for many years. So from a local point of view I loved the fact that it can offer several places to eat with a variety of cuisine for all your taste buds. In summer, yes those two weeks of the year, there is really nothing more pleasant than sitting by the waterside and eating or drinking while the sun bounces off the water and shines on your face. It really is so relaxing. I can't fault any of the establishments or their staff as all have always been welcoming and professional. The harbour has been overdeveloped over the years unfortunately but when you get that hour to sit at one of the restaurants you'd never know. Enjoy it and maybe even take a boat trip in around the five harbours.

not my kind of place but some will enjoy this man-made marina (largest in Northern Europe!!!). If you want cinema, TK Maxx KFC etc., then this is for you.
