We visited here to see the RNLI Lifeboat based in the harbour since it left the boathouse on Eastbourne promenade - now an RNLI Museum. We were there during a downpour of rain and are sure it would be an attractive sight in good weather. There are numerous places to eat and shop.

Attached to an interesting shop filled with unusual gifts and furniture that leads into a lovely clothes shop that also sells shoes, boots and handbags.
Ladies, leave the gentlemen tasting the wine!!

Lovely marina with a selection of restaurants and a few shops. Good in summer! Enjoy dinner and a bottle of wine outside with views of the marina, watching the boats go in and out.

What a lovely place we've found! Nice marina surrounded by brand new homes and a Mediterranean feeling. It's full of restaurants that also serve drinks and snacks if you're not into a full meal. The restaurants don't have nothing new in the menus and quite frankly the one where we had our lunch was not up to the standard of the place itself but the atmosphere of the harbour is great!

Close to there you also have free parking and several shops.

A place to come back and I even dare to say that is one of my favorite in the UK.

hard to locate through the housing estates leading out of Eastbourne, shame some of the restaurants do not do evening meals, not as big or busy as brighton marina or as good selection of eateries.

A lovely place that is often overlooked on a trip to Eastbourne. It is well worth a visit and a great place on a sunny day to get a coffee or a meal. The boat trip is good and very entertaining. A good place to people watch! A ride from Eastourne to the harbour on the dotto train is not to be missed. Great for all ages!

Didn't know this place existed! We decided to go and visit while staying overnight in Eastbourne, and we were so pleased we did. It's like another world, and you could be forgiven for thinking you were on the Mediterranean(when the sun was shining!)A wander round, enjoying looking at all the different boats and lovely apartments was just the ticket.A beer in one one of the waterside bars was very welcome too!We will definitely be visiting again in the future, and would urge anyone who hasn't been,to go and have a look, you won't be disappointed!

We have invested in a property in this buzzing harbour and have not looked back. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants all on the waterfront, shops, a cinema close by and the Dotto train to take you right into Eastbourne and back. Beach access too. Something for everyone to enjoy. Don't miss!

Sovereign Harbour Marina is a great place to visit. The boat trip round the harbour is very interesting & not too expensive, suitable for all ages. There are many cafes bars & shops something for everyone. So many different types of boats moored there too...a very mediteranian feel. Well worth a visit

Fortunately I own a place in Sovereign Harbour so am biased, what a great place to live, especially having the Waterfront and The Crumbles retail park so close.

We went here and were surprised to find a shopping centre with many shops including a very large Asda. When you visit make sure you take the harbour trip on The African Queen, lovely informative boat ride of how the harbour was created.

Sovereign Harbour is a regular spot for an afternoon stroll, always something different to see with boats coming and going, we often walk right round then along the beach and back into the other end of the harbour. No shortage of places to eat but we usually opt for the Fish & Chips take away and eat as we stroll.

Very picturesque - great boutique style shops on one side, with some brilliant things to do and places to it.
Boat ride around the marina shows all the housing on Marina and stories shared about captains and Lifeboats of boats currently on marina. Worth a fiver in any money!

I stayed at sovereign harbour last week with other family members, one of whom is severely disabled. We had excellent accommodation at the Piazza and the cafes, restaurants and pubs at the Waterfront catered for all our needs over a week. Most of all we found the staff everywhere, bur especially Di Lietos were welcoming , attentive and very helpful. For a week long break it was perfect .

The Waterfront in Sovereign Harbour is the place to go for a good meal in great surroundings.
You have the choice of Indian, Italian, Thai, Mediterranean and American as well as The Harvester. There is Di Lietos Coffee Lounge and now the new Seasons Coffee Lounge and Deli.

You can either sit inside or out on the Waterfront with to enjoy your meal or just a coffee and cake with the marina in front of you. On a sunny day, and yes we do get a lot of them here in the sunniest place in Britain, it can be like being transported to any of the seaside harbours in Spain.

Come and enjoy it.

There is plenty to see & do at The Marina. There's shops, restaurants(every type to please anyone). There's boat trips around the Marina with a helpful Captain.
You can walk right round and see the locks operating. Then walk further on, then you come to the beach. If you like a good walk you can loop round the north part of the Marina, then back to the cafe's eateries.

All year round we often visit theSovereign Harbour. There is always something to see beside people watching from the various resturants and outdoor eateries. The lock is not so busy in the winter but in the summer months is a hive of activity. From small dinghys to ocean going yatchs, local fishing boats and a boat that does trips around the harbour with an interesting commentary. Walk along the beach or view the Martello Tower. There is a retail park very near by but we prefer to spend our time taking in the sights of the marina and surrounding area. Always a nice feel about the place!

Anyone who loves Yachts and power boats will find this an interesting place on a sunny day.
It is though a concrete jungle, the developer has crammed so many blocks of flats into a relatively small area. This makes it very oppressing, such a shame (the epitome of developers' greed).
The lock gates are a very good place to watch the entry and exit of all the boats. There is a really good Thai Restaurant, called the The Thai Marina Restaurant excellent food and service authentic in every way.

A beautiful marina with lots of eating places, Italian, Thai, Harvester, and more. Plus lovely boutique shops. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the harbour. The outdoor seating faces s.e and therefore loses the sun quite early.
