My friends and I can never get tired of walking around the marina every summer holiday. We spend hours there most of the summer , the atmosphere is great and the surroundings beautiful. We find watching the jelly fish extremely entertaining as well as watching the boats come in from sea.

Nice place for a lunch / drink, overlooking the marina and very peaceful. Free parking as well, which is always welcome. If staying in town, you can easily wander along the boardwalk to get here, only about 2 miles from the centre.

We found this place by accident on the way to Eastbourne (10 mins drive) - wall to wall boats of every size and description, fabulous waterside homes, lots of little footpaths to wander around and great places to eat!

Visit on February 16th. Warm and sunny. Able to sit outside at cafes by waterside in just a jumper. (Last time there Summer 2012 blowing a gale) Very relaxing to walk around , watching boats go under bridges and also out to sea. Short visit before returning home from weekend so didn't go in any of the shops this time. Took several photos including .those of cormmorants- lots of them there enjoying the sunshine(I enjoy taking photos of birds and animals)

We visited on a crisp sunny day & the harbour was bathed in sunlight. There was an array of lovely places to eat but only one shop! I think there would be plenty of space for a couple of different types of shop to make it the kind of place I would like to visit again.

A variety of restaurants from very good value at The Harvester (great outdoor eating area with super Marin views) to a range of good value world restaurants. A couple of nice shops but the Crumbles are a couple of minutes if walking behind. Great for lazy sumner walks around this modern but interesting marina. Take a stroll down to the east end for the huge houses or up to the lock gates to watch the super yachts and fishing boats go in and out. There's a marina boat trip that's worthwhile if a little plain or a speedboat trip in the summer months up the coast. Definitely worth a visit.

We visit here frequently and enjoy the atmosphere of the marina and eateries around, we also watch the boats going through the lock out to sea and take a walk to the beach for a view of the sea. There are many restaurants and good coffee shops there, many with outside seating for the good weather.

Plenty of restaurants to choose from, most of which have outside seating if the weather is good. Always nice to look at the boats.

Sat in one of the many restaurants at the marina enjoying coffee & sandwiches while watching the boating activities on the marina. Was tempted to see if there were any fishing trips but had grandchildren with me. We all enjoyed browsing in the shops. Had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

This is a good place to visit if you like boats and is surprising extensive. You really need nice weather to appreciate it but there is a variety of places to eat and drink, and a very nice gift shop selling household items. It is a typical modern marina development with a large variety of living accommodation surrounding it and different boat harbour areas.

Really enjoyed exploring this extensive impressive harbour with attractive apartments and water features. Plenty of ship and bridge movements while we were there. Also saw a large cruiser being moved on land by an enormous machine.

If you walk around the apartment grounds there are some nice fountains to see.

Good choice of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants, including a Harvester in the Marina complex.

The Sovereign Harbour Marina is one of the largest man made marinas in Europe (I am told) and still seems to be a 'best kept secret'. You probably do not know it exists till you find it somehow and get there. Great ambiance, waterfront coffee bars and restaurants a delight particularly in summer months. Sitting out, you could be anywhere in the world - looking out over the water and watching the boats in the harbour. Harbour is a big place with a north and south harbour joined at the 'waterfront' - lots of lovely walks and of course the sea close by as well. Also, has some interesting shops and a large retail park nearby. Nice to have free parking for a change. You have to envy the people living in the harbour must be really nice life style. Now well known by the locals - so give it a visit - you won't be disappointed.

The marina is a good place to have a look at the variety of pleasure craft moored within, ther are some little shops and restaurants for that cup of coffee or treat. it is a fair walk from the pier at eastbourne, but well worth the effort

Sovereign Harbour is one of the best things that ever happened to Eastbourne, although it is seriously under rated and very much under promoted by the Borough. Best take a view at the Sovereign Harbour Website for details, but if you visit Eastbourne, for what ever reason and in whatever Season, make sure you visit this location.

If you like Marina's and what goes with them including restaurants, entertainment and all nautical activities this Harbour is the place to visit. So please give it a try......................and also if you want a seaside waterfront location to relocate to, then best take a look at a property website!

Sovereign Harbour has a real cosmopolitan feel about it especially when the sun is shining! There are several good eating places along the front and a couple of really interesting shops to browse in. I love to sit and look at the boats and watch the world go by !
