Walking around marina is very nice except it's spoilt by cyclists being allowed to ride there bikes, considering the amount of elderly people who like walking around there, like myself, one day there will be an accident.

On a warm, sunny day it is just great to sit quayside, and look at the boats in the harbour, spot mullet swimming , and maybe other fish as well.
There is a nice selection of restaurants to complete the day
Have a wander towards the beach, just outside the lock gates is another small harbour, where you may well see seals.

Interesting seeing all these boats also saw the lock open to allow boats to enter the harbour. Enjoyed the walk all around the harbour. Well worth a visit

Nice place for a wander around, probably best to park in the retail park with Asda etc, as no other clear parking available nearby that I could find. Make sure you go out towards the sea, as we saw two seals.

Great location to chill and take in the sea air and harbour ambience. Several restaurants and bars to choose from. Close to the beach as well as nearby shops. Plenty of parking. On bus routes from Eastbourne.

Not easy to get to on public transport but lovely walk see the boats. Nice cafes restaurants to choose from all with proper covid measures. Nice family meal and ice creams. Summer time i expect its busy. Children enjoyed looking, will return and do boat trips when warmed up again.

A peaceful little spot to walk around or to just snuggle on a bench and look out upon the view. It has a few nice little eateries too.

On our final morning we had a walk round parts of the Sovereign Harbour Marina. If you like boats of all types you'll like a wander round here. Plenty of places to to get a drink & bit to eat.

What a great spot to wind down - starting from the ease of welcoming free parking to take in a wide range of eating venues although some don’t get the full benefit of views, we stopped at the Harvester and then took a lovely leisurely stroll around the quay side peering looking at the cormorants, boats, apartments and incredibly clear water with big fish and what looked like a larger version of Tetris fish. We encountered a friendly, patient seagull not menacing in the least who was quite gentle in taking our offerings by hand.
Civic pride was well placed as there was no rubbish or graffiti and the community were all very friendly in their acknowledgements of passing by.
It is well worth spending even a brief moment here to ‘stop and smell the proverbial roses’.
