A regal, old-fashioned hotel but certainly old fashioned is intended as a compliment here. Good amenities (pools, gym, etc) and a beautiful dining room and restaurant to match the excellent cocktails in the bar opposite. We were very well catered for by the staff, including our canine companion, and had a very good stay here.
Ideally located within easy reach of a quieter section of the beach and the perfect starting point for a hike up Beachy Head. A stunning hotel in a beautiful location.

Wonderful 5* hotel with incredibly caring staff, super food and an ambience bordering on the Old Colonial style, so probably not to everybody's taste. So if you like silver service and afternoon tea poured for you, then it's manna from heaven.

Went for afternoon tea here on a Monday afternoon for a special occasion. The staff made us feel very welcome and special, had a great time. The food was brilliant, an amazing experience all round. Would recommend to anyone.

This rating is for the Mirabelle restaurant rather than the hotel itself. The Mirabelle is the only restaurant my parEnts. My husband and myself all like. A very attractive room, tables well spaced out and good service make this a happy experience for us all. Also not noisy, very good for people whose hearing is not what it used to be!

Aptly named traditional seaside hotel. Tends to cater to a more mature demographic. Luxurious with great spa facilities in basement. Comfortable well appointed rooms. Live dance band plays next to bar at weekends - there is a small dance floor. Separate ballroom for events has stage but disappointingly small dance floor. Service standards variable - from attentive to lacklustre.

Views for a hotel room, my god absolutely gorgeous. Bit expensive but only the best can afford this kind of hotel <3

Very friendly staff. They'll take you all the way to your room and give you a quick tour. The interior is vintage but mostly clean. The bar has a broad selection of drinks available.

Beautiful and picturesque hotel, worth 5 starts. Once entered in feels like going back in the nineteenth century. The dining experience is quite remarkable. Excellent rooms and service.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Exceptional service from all of the staff. Good Spa facilities that were very welcoming on a wet and windy day! Lots of space and relaxing cubby holes to hide away and relax in tranquil surroundings

Loved being back in this area, especially at the Grand Hotel, excellent, professional staff. Like all British Hotels, I'm always a bit worried about fires, but you just ave to drop all that when you stay in these renovated old places. I'm behind on my posts, was here a few days in mid-September 2016 and then in mid-October 2016.

Beautiful hotel with two warm swimming pools, kids area, and golf ⛳ . Food in Garden restaurant is excellent. Best part is the staff, better service than most hotels in London.

There is a reason this place is called 'The Grand', and it is irrefutably the nicest hotel in Eastbourne (and looks the part). To call it 'a pleasant place to visit' might sound like damning with faint praise, but if you can afford it, you won't regret it!

I know the grand from the inside out ! Worked there for ten years , worked in all departments, on training programs,, it is dated because it's a listed building, with 152 rooms , 2 restaurants, 6 function rooms , 2 swimming pools , a gym, sauna, hair dressers , children's play room , in house laundry, shoe cleaning services, snooker room, 2 bars , out door dining over looking the swimming pool,

Had tea at the Grand, very high standard of service and quality of food that you would expect from here. Will definitely do it again.

Amazing service from the moment you pull up to the front (even in our lil banger) to the moment you leave. All facilities you could hope for onsite and just across the road from the beach.
