Have been before a few years ago for a Hen party spa. This time was just as lovely , my daughter is pregnant the staff were aware of this. The staff took care of us offering complimentary tea or coffee with lovely shortbread. The pool was relatively quiet when we went although we were told this is not always the case. We had a treatment within our spa day , sooooo relaxing.
We had a coffee and tea cake, the tea cake was hard and stone cold, the staff were very good and replaced the tea cakes without any fuss and didn’t charge for them.
We then had afternoon tea in the sitting room by the fire, lovely food and plenty of tea. The staff were busy but attentive. We couldn’t resist a box to take home leftover cake kindly provided for us.
I recommend a spa day here however the only drawback is the poor changing room facilities, could do with improvement.
We parked easily at the hotel however this can be problematic in the summer.
Well done to the staff who make sure the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

We return again to this lovely hotel. The amenities, food and staff are excellent. Yes it is grand and gives a service that is in keeping with it's name but it is also friendly and our dog enjoys the chicken dinner he has each night and that attention he gets.

Excellent two night new year package and we were so glad we decided to stay a third night. The customer service here is excellent from the moment you arrive until departure. All the staff were welcoming, professional but also friendly which made us feel very comfortable. We went for the Garden Restaurant package and couldn't fault the food. It was presented well, was just the right amount and had lots of flavour. On new year's eve the kitchen and waiting staff did a fantastic job to ensure we had an enjoyable evening. It was also lovely to see the staff coming into the restaurant with their champagne at midnight and enjoying the music with us. The two live bands on new year's eve were excellent. On new year's day we had a swim in the pool which was very quiet and relaxing. Our side sea view room was very warm and comfortable. The bathroom did require some updating but everything worked. We had a fantastic three nights at The Grand Hotel and would like to pass on our thanks to the Management and their excellent team.

Enjoyed the new year celebrations with my wife and friends very much ,have booked for next year again. The warmth of the bedroom was our only complaint we like to sleep in a cooler room. The drinks before the dinner were not good enough to have whisky instead of champagne was expensive and not chairs to sit .

Excellent service and facilities with friendly staff..An ideal location offering the opportunity to explore the South Coast of East Sussex and the neighbouring towns around the South Downs. The nearby city of Brighton offers a host of entertainment facilities .

Our Christmas experience was superb, highly recommended, wonderful musical entertainment
in the afternoon and in the evening. We loved the Dress Code, hard to find these Days in English
Hotels.
Was impressed about the pool and the warm temperature, but staff must control, that children will
not jump into the pool which happen several times, parents are careless, sadly, ignoring the sign.
Outside: Perfect location to walk comfortable along the promenade enjoying the sea--fresh air.

The service was as always, first rate. The staff are very friendly and seem genuinely interested in the guests. It is especially good to see so many familiar faces on the staff, from previous years... and what's more, they recognised us! We booked too late to have our usual room on the second floor, but the booking receptionist went to some lengths to find us a suitable alternative and we loved the from we had up on the 4th floor (410). Please see my request for a magnifying make up mirror, otherwise it suited us perfectly.

Need more attention to detail as New Year's Eve and staff were not customer focussed in the dining room. Bar staff and concierge amazing as usual , clean and comfy rooms , some rooms need updating. Would stay again though. Pool was busy as six teenage boys were monopolising pool and messing around which spoilt our swim

Chose the hotel for a New Year getaway with dinner and dancing, also took advantage of the Spa for massage and other treatments. Great food, the treatments were excellent and the black tie dinner and dance was great. Also afternoon tea to start, then brunch on the last day. Brilliant!

Excellent stay to celebrate New Year eve.
Professional staff greets you at the door, and throughout our stay we experienced very good service.
The food in the Mirabelle restaurant was outstanding. Ben the Maître d’hôtel for this dining area is superb supported by a friendly knowledgeable team. We thank them.
The live band played a good choice of music in the Devonshire room and most people were up on their feet, a good sign.
We really enjoyed the evening and our stay.

Fabulous place: outstanding staff; lovely big bedroom; comfie bed; they know just how to do it all properly here; good spa, gym and pool if you wish to use them; excellent range of drinks and the breakfasts are outstanding

We were disappointed to find that no provision was made for any Ballroom or Latin dancing. Only Disco type dancing on a relatively small dance floor. However most of the guests were enjoying themselves. The food was less than acceptable.

Overall an enjoyable stay. Excellent location. Staff all very helpful. Food excellent. Rooms are rather dated. The entertainment that was laid on was first class throughout our stay, and the provision of a coach into town was a good touch

Stayed for five days over Christmas and absolutely everything was outstanding. The standards of service provided by this hotel are without equal in the UK. The Garden Restaurant is better than ever, offering a superb dining experience. The Mirabelle is closing for refurbishment but hopefully will not be ruined by being modernised (I was a little concerned that silver cloches have disappeared and the restaurant's signature plates have been replaced by some hideous crackle glazed modern ones).

The food was average and on one occasion inedible (feta croquettes). The service in the restaurant needs to be more efficient as at times we waited up to 20 minutes for our wine and the waiters were slow clearing our plates.

We enjoyed a fabulous two night break between Christmas & New Year, it wasn't our first time so it was great to be back. The service and friendly approachable staff are genuinely happy to help and nothing is to much trouble. Can't wait to go again, maybe for the Eastbourne Airshow.

We had an excellent time with first rate service and will recommend All the staff were helpful and charming which made our stay truly enjoyable. Food was excellent and fairly priced. We’re glad the decor of the Mirabelle is to be refurbished shortly.

Genuinely good in parts - service was excellent, apart from confusion in the car park (blaming us when it was the system, but charges reduced by reception resolved it). Food was fine in the Garden Room, excellent in Mirabelle. Bed was uncomfortable and ill-fitting windows casued a lot of sleep-wrecking noises through the night. The main rooms are glorious and beautifully festive.
A £5 teacake taking 20 minutes to appear was absurd, and that should have been complemented.
Sounds like niggles, and that's all they are, but 5 stars means a niggle-free, or instantly resolved situations.

Love coming here; the staff treat you so well you feel you are special! It may be more expensive than other hotels around but you get quality service, and such a Grand building isn't cheap to run or maintain! Just popped in on Sunday for afternoon tea and the experience was wonderful; we took our 6 year old granddaughter to introduce her to this experience! Have also stayed several times. Lovely.

Had a wonderful day in the health club, facilities were lovely, clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Towels gowns and flip flops provided were soft and clean, gym had a great variety of equipment with towels, wipes and a water dispenser with plenty of cups available. Back massage was wonderful, the therapist was lovely and the whole treatment was so relaxing. We also had afternoon tea, we requested some alterations to the sandwiches before our visit and this request was noted and double checked on our arrival. Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Overall a fantastic experience, I cannot praise the staff higly enough and will certainly recommend this hotel and hope to return to the health club for more relaxing days!

Beautiful hotel with history and well refurbished yet keeping it's original features. Staff treat you like royalty. Awesome seafront location in sunny Eastbourne. Lounges, cocktail bar, restaurants, health spa with swimming pool and set in such a beautiful location it's impossible to run out of things to do and see. Especially like their Tea menu.

The most amazing hotel in Eastbourne! It was my first trip to Eastbourne and I was waiting to visit it since winter and I booked one night over the weekend at the Grand Hotel! Believe me it was worth it! I was travelling a journey, from Edinburgh to Eastbourne so I called the hotel asking them if I could check in early - they said they will try. And guess what? They managed it! The staff out there is extremely polite and humble. They treat you with great humility and compassion. Of course it's one of the oldest 5 start hotel in U.K and the first and only one in Eastbourne. If you want an authentic British experience, you should visit there. Yes it's a a little high on money but if you can afford it, I would highly recommend it. The hotel has a long line of history attached to it and it's well maintained. With great food!

Beautiful hotel and the service from the staff was impeccable, the dining hall is manificient and made for some great meals. The rooms feel a little dated but the staff were always there to top up anything you might require.

We have visited The Grand, numerous times over the years. Wonderful hotel and the service is excellent. Unfortunately I have noticed that the supplements on the restaurants menus are appearing more often and are increasing in value. Drinks have also increased, your house Campaign, I believe is now £20 per glass. With respect, I would like point out to the senior management of Elite Hotels that majority of your customers drive BMW`s and Mercedes not Bentley`s and Maserati`s.
