A beautiful, traditional hotel with exceptional service all round. We dined in the Mirabelle restaurant and it was fine dining with excellent service and delicious food. The hotel itself is immaculate and our room was clean, very comfortable and included a pod coffee machine which I thought was a nice touch. There was a small live dancing band in the evening until midnight which made for a very nice evening as we had a dance or two for our wedding anniversary. Many thanks to all the staff throughout this beautiful 5 star hotel.

Yet another very enjoyable stay at the Grand Eastbourne. The staff cannot do enough for you and the room was very comfortable for Parents and Children. The hotel has a real charm to it and we will definitely be staying again at some point in the future.

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary, on arrival the concierge was out to take our bags and park our car,on booking in we had been upgraded to a suite which was very nice .
When we got to our suite and our bags and clothes hung up for us and everything explained about the hotel my wife noticed the 12 red roses I had arranged to have in our room( beautiful stunning roses I could not have been more pleased ).
The two day we had here could not have been better from all the very friendly staff ,to delicious cocktails, food, wine and service .
Will certainly return.

Very pleased and will be likely to return again soon. The staff are always so professional and go above and beyond to ensure you feel totally looked after. We stayed with our two girls who thoroughly enjoyed the pool too.

We took elderly parents away for a weekend. Disabled parking was blocked off, directed to part outside of hotel so they could unload us, disabled badge in window. They then wanted to drive our car and park. I just wanted to park in disabled parking directly to side of main door. All staff extremely friendly except car park attendant!!! Wind blew all night, the old sash windows rattled all night, only managed a few hours of sleep. When mentioned in the morning, they said we should have told them. But surely we can not be the only people to have complained. A sign should have been in bedroom or mentioned on check in. We ate dinner that night in hotel as easier for 90 & 85 year olds. Very good service and the lady who was organising the restaurant was a delight. Breakfast was very good.

I have friends that stay here often, and I can see why! Everything was lovely and we will stay again. We booked a room that allowed our dog to stay with us, it was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were brilliant and the food was good. A lovely place to stay and such a prime location.

Booked the hotel as my husband was running the Beachy Head Marathon. The hotel made everything stress free. Parking space allocated on arrival without any stress, good nights sleep and breakfast very enjoyable.

The Grand is truly upholding traditional values and service, she is like a Grand old lady whose history speaks for itself. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the attention to detail is second to none.

The location, facilities and staff were fantastic. The decor in the room was a little tired, however, and the carpet didn't seem to fit.
The food and service were very good and we were made to feel very welcome.

As usual good service. Room 16 too small bed for a couple. 235 much better. Service in lounge/foire place slow and absent at times. Not up to normal standard. Doormen superb as usual as well as check in/reception. Restaurant good service, but food could be better/ more tasty. Back on Nov 26 and hope for a good stay agai.

Stunning room, lovely facilities and very friendly staff. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the fact we were running the marathon & had to leave by 8am, we had to order breakfast as room service since the restaurant didn’t open until 8, but it was 20 mins late so sadly we had to leave most of it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay together with our large Pyrenean Mountain Dog who was also treated like royalty! Concierge service particularly excellent. Service throughout was exceptional. We would highly recommend to anyone who desires a hassle-free break.

The Grand is a lovely hotel situated on the front but away from the bustle of the town. The hotel is well managed and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

We stayed two nights and were very impressed with the room and the friendliness of staff etc. We were made to feel very welcome. We had breakfast twice and ate dinner in the Garden Room on our first night. Unfortunately we were forgotten about after the sorbet and had to remind the restaurant staff to bring our main courses. This was then followed by my husband being overlooked on the very next course - I had finished my dessert before the cheese & biscuits were delivered. Overall the quality of the food was good but just let down on this one occasion by poor service. To be fair our pre-dinner drinks were waived by the restaurant manager without us having to complain. Breakfast was good but the toast was soggy both mornings ... perhaps our fault as maybe we should have asked for it to be served to the table when we were ready rather than with the tea and coffee.
Despite the above we enjoyed our stay and would think about going again on another occasion.

Excellent service from lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble!
The hotel might need a bit of an update though, but we loved the old fashioned courtesy.
A hook for our coats in the room is the only suggestion.
Loved the open fire!

A wonderful hotel to celebrate my Mother's 90th birthday. Despite the dreary weather, the hotel provided a friendly and warm ambience to celebrate this very special occasion. My Mother enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to returning to this Grand Dame on the south coast. Thanks for the memory.

The environment, rooms and staff were particularly noteworthy. Nothing seemed too much trouble and all seemed happy in their work. They were beautifully dressed and attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. The training and choice of staff is obviously a point here since not everyone has these skills, even through training.

Superb service and staff in an extremely well appointed old English 'grand' hotel. Excellent facilities but bedroom very disappointing - significant 'draught' and 'rattling' from very badly fitting windows.

Great location opposite the Western Lawns and straight onto the beach, the Grand Hotel sparkles. From the moment the concierge opens your car door and takes your luggage to your room, to the time you checkout, you feel at home. Very attentive staff from housekeeping to lounge service and the Garden restaurant. Excellent, traditional breakfast with healthy options or continental salamis and smoked salmon. Fresh sandwiches for lunch or afternoon tea. Traditional dinner menu with succulent lamb and sea bass. Sea view or inland rooms are spacious. Timeless elegance updated with a friendly twist for the 21st century.

We had a fabulous stay. The staff were amazing and very friendly. However the spa was a let down and was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Some of the lockers didn't work, the jacuzzi was very hot (39 degrees) and the whole decor of the spa was very dated.
