A very pleasant afternoon spent enjoying an afternoon tea followed by a few drinks. Lovely surroundings with excellent service from all the members of staff .

Utterly Beautiful. If nothing else, have a drink in the gorgeous Victoria Bar and take a moment to look upwards through the huge square staircase to the glass roof.
Its amazing.

The best sea view I've ever had from our room (302). On the edge of town so nice and quiet. The outdoor pool was lovely and warm - even in the rain! The hotel looks classic and formal but is actually very relaxed. Service was impeccable and unobtrusive throughout. Thank you to the lovely man who helped me find a parking space, and for the very civilised late check out.

We had afternoon tea to celebrate my husbands Birthday. The hotel was beautiful and grand. We were shown to our seats, in a lovely open side room and offered teas, coffee, hot chocolate or milkshakes. The service was fairly good. Sandwiches quite nice, bread a little dry on the end finger, bakewell tart yummy. Then it went down hill, the caramel cream donut was tasteless, the chocolate cake tasted of nothing( I didn't eat mine) the scones hadn't been warmed and were not the right texture more bready and stodgy. We were very disappointed. As we expected a better quality of food it certainly didn't live up to the name The Grand

A perfectly relaxing stay at this lovely hotel. We had a great time: spacious, friendly and comfortable with excellent food, views over the sea and heated outdoor pool. Heaven!

Spent the weekend to visit for a wedding. The room was great with all the amenities you need, and had a cosy classic, yet modern feel to it. The bed was very confortable, and the duvet just right for the lat summer.
The breakfast overall was decent, good service although slower in busier periods. The only let down were thr buttermilk pancakes which were as hard as hockey pucks, which probably means they're not freshly made, something surprising for the kind of establishment The Grand calls itself.

This was a present to my wife and I for our anniversary. Amazing sea view from our 3rd floor room. David the concergirge was really helpful - He needs a pay rise to make sure he stays at the Grand.
Restaurant was quiet when we had dinner, about 7.00pm. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, we had an excellent meal and are looking forward to the next meal.
On the face of it, the costs seem a little high, but as soon as you take into account the meals (we booked bed, breakfast and dinner), it looks very competitive. Not cheap, but very good value.
I've marked the rooms as 4 star, but in fact, it's more like 4 1/2 stars. They are well presented, clean and tidy as you would expect. The loss of half a star is my personal impression that the rooms are a little traditional. Having said that, they are in keeping with the rest of the building.
Well done to the Grand Hotel, you have a very satisfied client, we will be back soon.

Very lovely hotel in an excellent position. Service was exceptional. We had breakfast each morning which was delicious: a choice on continental plus a reasonable choice of cooked options, all freshly cooked. I’d suggest booking an early breakfast slot - we picked 8.30 which was perfect but people seemed to be queuing to get in when we left.
The car park is small but one of our party had a disabled badge and we were in an EV which we had informed the hotel of well in advance and as a result we were allocated an EV charging point/space for the time we were there which was sectioned off and ready for us when we arrived. Helpful and informative porters on hand. Lift to all floors.
We had a twin room - however the beds, whilst being very comfortable, are touching so you need to be quite friendly with your travel companion. Room was a good size with coffee machine, kettle & tea facilities, biscuits, a mini fridge, robes, slippers, safe etc. good size bathroom with a walk in shower. Everything spotlessly clean.
There is an outside pool which is a good temperature and I should imagine beautiful to sit around on a nice sunny day (sadly the sun was a bit rare on our weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy fully). Indoor is another pool, hot tub & steam room. The pool area could do with a little bit of TLC - a few tiles around the edge need replacing, some flaking paint and a roof tile missing plus the costume spinner is currently out of order and has been removed. There is also a gym with running machines and weights etc but we did not use.
All in all very happy with our stay & would definitely recommend.

A wonderful few days away. Superb location!
Very helpful, friendly staff, beautiful room, food and drinks delicious.
The room was serviced regularly to a very high standard.
Service at breakfast occasionally slow and a couple of mix-ups soon put right.
Pool and pool area small and changing rooms a bit untidy. Didn't use the treatment rooms as they were fully booked.
Concierge deserves a special mention, went above and beyond, as did the bar staff. Very knowledgeable. Delicious cocktails!
Overall a very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend.

Booked an outside table for lunch so that we could enjoy the airshow.
Service awful. There seemed to be a lot of staff around but no-one specifically to serve us.
Had to ask for menus and drinks list.
Had to then find someone to take our order. When we wanted another drink, we had to get it ourselves from the bar only for them to charge us 10% service charge!
Finally, we had to ask for our table to be cleared as we were inundated with wasps and flies.
London prices and more.
Maybe they think that being 5* means the customer will accept poor service but this is not the case.
Please look at your staffing levels and training.

Went to Mirabelle restaurant for a birthday meal recently and it didn't disappoint. Was quite impressed by its elegant decor, exquisite dishes, and impeccable service, all at a fair and affordable cost. Will return for sure.

26.08.2024 Wir kamen auf Empfehlung extra aus Hastings um hier in Eastbourne den Afternoon Tea zu genießen.
Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht!
Dieses Hotel ist wirklich "Grand!".
So viele ineinandergehende Räumlichkeiten, so elegant.

We had a lovely stay and hope to return soon! Chris on the door was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, a very warm welcome. The reception team and all of the staff in the bar area and at breakfast time were attentive and personable. The hotel itself was beautiful and well kept; it was spotless too. There was plenty of choice with cocktails with knowledgeable staff. There was also a good selection for breakfast. We did take advantage of room service during our stay which was easy to order and arrived in good time. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

Popped in for lunch at the Mirabelle All courses were delicious and well presented. The restaurant staff were great, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly without being intrusive. They were aware from my booking that I was gluten intolerant and it was nice not to have to remind them constantly like I have had to do in other places. Will definitely be back with others to enjoy

I gotta say Cole is a number one gentleman! Such a friendly and knowledgeable man. I really enjoyed my conversations with him in little breaks I got between MBC 2024 sessions. If I’m ever back in town I will surely stay at the Grand! Also if you feel thirsty go and grab an Old Fashioned from the bar! Absolute gold!

Everything was lovely except the fact that the internet was extremely slow in my room. I don't live in the UK, so not being able to contact my family was bad. +I found a dirty spoon in my room. Everything else was perfect. Thank you for the service.

when on a spa day with my with we did not say at hotel as it was cheaper around the corner we had a bit of problem with the tiles coming off but I did give us a 50% discount of the price due to the inconvenience of this happening
