An enlightening, entertaining and unique science centre. We really enjoyed the interactive science of the discovery park that combined education with lots of fun.
I particularly enjoyed being hit with hammer in the science show which was again a good combination of interesting science and facts about Sir Isaac Newton delivered enthusiastically and entertainingly by the science presenter, Niamh. We also got an exclusive preview of one of the dome roofs opening to reveal the skies above us and imagined the majesty of a night spent observing the glittering galaxies.

The entire experience was just incredible- my son (6 years old) was utterly enthralled and I must admit I had just as much fun as he did!! Science, physics, art, genetics, astronomy, the lot, are all introduced and put forth in an easily accessible and interactive manner, fun for all ages and informative too. Such a hidden and underrated gem ....going again with the whole family. FANTASTIC!!!!

The best science museum for children by far. Lots of exhibits and interaction to encourage learning whilst having lots of fun in the process. Let's be honest, its not just the kids who enjoy pressing all the buttons and building bridges and dams only to then destroy them in the name of science!

Brilliant place to take children aged 4 and up, with so many interesting and exciting things to do.
The catering was OK but running out of sandwiches early in the first lunch on a Saturday was not impressive . The burger van saved the day, as the vegan burger was really tasty.
We will go again!!

A really great half day experience even if you're not familiar with astronomy and telescopes: you'll soon learn! Nice open space and a variety of outdoor activities but if you want to there are also indoor experiments and the chance to see and learn about science in action. The history of the site, the area and the telescopes is fascinating and well worth the read.

It's a really nice place. The kids loved it. Even I and and all the adults were getting involved in all science experiments that are spread around the territory of the observatory. I was exhausted at the end. I would go again and would recommend this place to anyone.
