An utterly amazing place to visit. We went there with friends and family. The volunteers were helpful and informative. Unfortunately the cloud came in and we couldn't use the telescopes but they showed us how they worked.
Well worth the drive and late night 🌙

Brilliant place. Very understated but such a hidden gem. Kept an 11 and 15 year old fully occupied for a good few hours. Highly recommend for a family day out

We paid £7.75 each online for entrance ( not timed and only needed the booking number on entry) It was a very hands on experience…. Lots for children …..and we enjoyed the presentation on the telescopes in two of the domes ….done by a young lady who was learning the ropes and Gerry. To enjoy it to the full you need to be comfortable with touching lots of exhibits and be happy with no social distancing! The cafe was a little disappointing although the cakes were good ….coffees not so good in cardboard cups. There was a van selling hot dogs, burgers and chips and seating was outside or in a marquee where nothing was being looked after ie table wiping. Mask were requested inside but more than half of adults weren’t complying. Sanitising pumps were around but some were empty. In all we enjoyed our 3 hours there, but think families with children would get a lot more out of the visit

This place is a hidden gem for a family day out. Our kids are 6 and 8 and were entertained all day…and so were the adults! If your looking for a fun, interesting and family day out then try this place! Really good value too!

Great day out. The kids loved it. Plenty of interactive tasks for them to do. They had great fun on the water section. Food was cheap and good quality too. Well worth a visit.
Thanks.

Found the centre really interesting. Doesn't look much when you pull up but all the exhibits are well maintained and were in working order. The 12 year and 7 year old kept themselves entertained whilst learning something at the same time. Talks were interesting and kept at a level good for the kids. Really liked the play park as was more exhibits. All in all a good place to visit and good value for money..

Great playground which is just as educational as the rest of the venue. My children (8 and 6) loved the hands-on experience, and the shows were great too. Very affordable and good value for money.
We had a few showers on the day but there is plenty to do both indoors and outdoors.
The only downside was that lunch choices were very limited in the cafe - just a few sausage rolls, pre-packed sandwiches, fruit and snacks. Outside there was a van selling hot dogs and burgers/chips.

Incredible. We spent far longer here than expected. The science show was funny and well thought out. The exhibits were interesting and backed up with good explanations of what you were seeing. The outside play park with the archamedes corkscrew was fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate a return visit.

Brilliant, hands on science exploration. Loads to do. We only had time to spend the morning here but could easily have spent the day. Lots of outdoor equipment so better on a dry day, but lots to explore indoors too. There was a science show which was really good fun, although some of the links between the demonstrations and the science behind them could have been made clearer. We came with a 1, 4 and 7 year old and they all greatly enjoyed the morning.

Very nice and interesting place. Good for kids of all ages with entertaining scientific hands on activities, though families need a dry day as it is 60% outdoors. For adults and teenagers interested in science and astronomy, the telescope domes are very interesting and the talks are informative and fun too.

Lovely find and a fun place to spend a blustery afternoon. The website doesnt do it justice unfortunately. They have so many exhibits inside and outside, along side an interactive science show. Lots for young children to try, and lots of interesting pieces of information for both adults and children alike.

Shout out must go out to the young chap who did the science show. The wind was so loud and the marquee was blowing, but he kept smiling throughout and kept everyone interested. Lots of smiles and laughs too. Well done.
