I’ve managed to be very lucky and catch a few shows at the Epsom Playhouse recently. An AmDram production of My Fair Lady back in April 2024, which was very good, and more recently Genesis Connected on Friday 20th September, which was fantastic and another AmDram show, Sweet Charity on Wed 9th October 2024 which was also great.
With the Genesis tribute act we were sat right at the very front so had plenty of leg room. I must admit that the show was so engaging and entertaining that I did not notice any issues with the seats. Although with the AmDram shows we sat further back and did notice a little bit of the seats being on the firm side. And the leg room was not so expansive. Still, I would definitely go again if another enticing show came along.
Genesis Connected band played some Genesis songs, plus Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and Mike & The Mechanics and I pretty much knew all of the songs. It was loud enough so that I could sing my heart out and hopefully not disturb to many other guests that wanted to enjoy the show. Will definitely be seeing them again. Hopefully sooner rather than later. They were absolutely brilliant.
Sweet Charity was a good show, I do not know if this was originally a stage play as I did not recognise some of the songs from the film versation. The actors were very good and were from Banstead.
The staff seemed friendly and helpful. Not really a drinker so queueing at intermission was not an issue for me. The seats all seemed to have a good view of the stage. I also work nearby so could park at my office. Otherwise, the shopping centre car park is literally right on the doorstep.

I would use the playhouse more if there was more legroom. I have to weigh up how much I want to see the performance against the discomfort of airline like legroom for two hours and the likelihood of getting an aisle seat.

An ok theatre in a good location for a pre-show meal. Would like more comedy night choices at weekends

We saw the show the Rat Pack here which was excellent. The seating in the theatre to say the least is uncomfortable, low seats and not much leg room which rather spoilt the evening. Staff at the theatre were all welcoming and friendly. Parking is very expensive in the Ashley Centre It costed us £5

Good venue, fair priced tickets usually. A small cramped drinks bar which is quite highly priced but otherwise a good place to go and there's a multi storey car park adjoining the playhouse, so parking is easy.
