My partner and I treated ourselves to a night at St Pierre Park having read lots of good reviews.

We went for a suite and were thoroughly impressed by the room and it’s balcony/ garden - in particular the jacuzzi was an added bonus.

The room was spotless and we really couldn’t find any faults. Staff were also very attentive and the food was great.

We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We booked for a family of 6 at the Pavillion Restaurant for the Christmas Day 5 course lunch and it was fantastic. There was an excellent choice for each course, the food was absolutely marvellous and beautifully presented. Starters we chose were the scallops and pork belly and the pigeon, both beautifully cooked. My husband and I went for the sea bass which was our next course whilst the rest of the party had a refreshing mango sorbet. Both were again excellent. I went for Beef Wellington but the rest had Turkey for their main course. The beef was divine and cooked to perfection. The turkey ( brown and white meat ) was also super. Desserts again did not disappoint with the lemon meringue and the chocolate fondant being the selections. We took a leisurely time of 3 hours from arrival to departure and the service was excellent. Everyone who came to our table was very friendly, knowledgable and efficient. We even got a Christmas card on the table personally addressed with a small bottle of spumante! A wonderful time was had by all. We will definitely return to eat at the Pavillion restaurant. This was our first time and we wished we had been sooner!

We stayed at the SPP in September for a week and had a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is very pleasant and we had a nice sized room with balcony and good facilities. Breakfast was most enjoyable with plenty on offer from a full English to fruit and continental. there are pleasant grounds around which one can stroll along with swimming pool and spa facilities. The hotel is located on a main road that heads into St Peter Port with bus stops not far from the main entrance. There is also a Waitrose across the road which is ideal for snacks / lunches etc for days out.

All in all a very nice stay.

We had Christmas Day buffet lunch here last year and it was good hence our return again this year.
I must say this year has surpassed all our expectations.
The food was excellent, the choices of salads, cold meats and even lobster to start, followed by a wide choice of meats and vegetables, all served hot and tasty. Then a choice of puddings, cheese, coffee and mince pies ....

The tables were well decorated and even Santa payed a visit for the children.
The most noticeable thing however was the the attitude of the staff. They had given up they’re Christmas Day to serve us and serve us they did.
They were amazing , so happy and helpful, they went out of their way to make our day special.

They are a credit to the hotel and the management should be very proud.

Stayed here recently on an overnight business trip. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Room (Lower Ground) was clean, comfortable and quiet with a clean Bathroom with nice toiletries, Wi-Fi was ok and mobile signal reasonable, . I did not have an opportunity to use any of the amenities like the Health Club other than the hotel bar and the breakfast restaurant in the morning. Breakfast had a good selection (both continental and cooked) and was of a good quality. In short, everything was seamless and nothing was found wanting throughout the experience and I would have like to have seen more of what was on offer, but maybe another time!!

Stayed in St Pierre Park for a long weekend, covering both business and leisure. I had not stayed here for about 3 years and had heard that following change to Handpicked hotels, it had undergone a makeover. So tried it again. Unfortunately any makeover is not visible, except possibly the spa. The rooms are in need of a major upgrade in facilities. Light switches broken, hairdriers broken, patio door locks broken. There is a complete lack of electrical sockets for charging phones, ipads laptops etc, that one would expect in a hotel nowadays. All sockets in use (lamps, tv etc).

Room service was good and food hot, however breakfast was chaotic with staff unable to cope with simple requests (eg a latte).

The hotel still has that conference centre venue feel and generally impersonal.

I visited this hotel as part of a large group on rugby tour. Our party was about 60 and booking in was run like a military operation which was commendable. My room was luxourious and contained all the little extras such as a Nespresso coffee machine and bath gowns which is always a pleasant touch. The breakfast included everything one would need in a full English with good quality sausages! Staff were polite and professional. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and transport to the centre costs just £1. Make sure you get on the correct side of the road ( unless you enjoy bus travel and want a tour of the island!) We also utilised the golf range which is a 4 minute walk from the hotel. It provided us with an hours entertainment and was cheap and fun ( and was my first introduction to golf) I would recommend this hotel and will hopefully visit again ( with my wife next time!)

We stayed for 7 nights, we were welcomed from the time we entered the hotel. Check in was very easy, the room was a standard with en-suite which had a bath with a shower, i found the bath a bit to high to step into i have a disability . ( i did not inform when booking did not think about how high the bath would be, I will know next time) over looking the front of the hotel. Over the 8 days we were there we had breakfast most days, which had a good selection of hot and cold food to suit all ages. we had 1 dinner in the main restaurant which was very good, I thought it was a little expensive for what we had. We had a few meals in the bar these were good but very limited on the choice on the menu. My wife and I decided it would of been better if they had at least 1 special each night it would of been better. The service in the bar was very good. They have a spa and golf which we did not use. over all a very pleasant place to stay.

An overnight business trip. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Room (2nd floor) was clean, comfortable and whisper quiet. I did not have an opportunity to use any of the amenities other than the hotel bar and the breakfast restaurant in the morning. Breakfast had a good selection (both continental and cooked). In short, everything was seamless and nothing was found wanting throughout the experience.

We stayed for 6 nights and this is a pleasant hotel in great grounds well placed for getting around. However, there are a few grumbles. Our room, 531, was well appointed large and comfortable but had an adjoining door to the next room. We got to know our neighbours, their Skype/FaceTime contacts and music tastes very well. Honestly, they were not noisy it was simply the door was so thin! The breakfast was okay, good buffet but ordering from the chef was less successful. On a couple of occasions the wait was very long and this was not just our experience, it did seem to improve towards the end, staff were attentive. The bar prices are very high, £10 plus for local gins which are £3 to £4 in other restaurants. Bar food is equally inflated. The spa is fantastic with an above average sized indoor swimming pool, steam room etc. The outside jacuzzi was very warm and totally relaxing. Good parking facilities.

We stayed here as two couples on a get away break . The hotel is well located and offers everything you need to relax. The spa facilities are excellent. Food in all areas is great and good value. I would definitely return.

We came here as a family trip for my parents wedding anniversary. The accommodation is splendid and spacious, and the staff are very helpful.

There's a decent size swimming pool and an outdoor jacuzzi; which is great in the rain. Or, if you prefer, a decent size bar area.

Breakfast catered for everyone's needs, and dinner was very well done, too.

It's about a 20 min walk into town, and there's also crazy golf at the local golf course. Something for everyone.

It's not cheap, but then it is a spa resort.

Lovely room leading onto beautiful gardens. The only gripes were the beds were too soft, even with a board underneath. I even emailed to ensure a firm bed. This problem of the beds was a reapeat from when we stayed in 2015 . As we tried 3 different rooms on that occasion, so i thought emailing would prepare the hotel for our stay. But it was a shame , my husband and i hardly slept and my husbands back became slowly worse ,and was glad when we were returning home .The tea and coffee were cold everyday at breakfast. Even though we asked to make sure it wasn't cold, it still came luke warm. We complained the last time we came. It's a shame millions on a refurbishment but not on the rooms and simple hot water.
Had to chase our delivery of our daily newspaper every day.
Staff were excellent especially a few breakfast waiters and waitresses while a few kept mysteriously dissapearing putting extra work onto the others. Our cleaner in our room was brilliant. But why have bed turning down at around 6.00, this was a pointless waste of staff time. Pluss why? I think I can turn my own bed down very old fashiond and out dated waste of time.
But overall we had a lovely time, but please get some firm mattresses and hot tea and coffee.!
Bar meals over expensive for what you get, again came cold and we had to wait for butter and pepper. So we refused to pay. So sad as this was on our first night as the restaurant said they were fully booked. But as our room was ajasent to it could not see anyone in there up to 7.30. Then only a few. Didn't make sense!
This wonderful hotel needs a central good manager who is there all the time over looking the day to day running of the bar , rooms, and reception as everyone seemed to be either running around after there own backsides or total majicaly dissapearing.
Please take a leaf from the Fermain Hotel were staff work as a team, very efficient.

Second visit to this excellent hotel. From check in to departure nothing was too much trouble. For example my husband had to urgently go into the town but a taxi was two hours wait so a member of staff kindly drove him in. We had a lower ground floor room which had a terrace onto the garden and if the weather had been better would have been a great area to relax with the morning papers. Good and varied choice at buffet breakfast, with a separate menu for things like smoked haddock and poached eggs which was a great start to the day. Room was clean and bed extremely comfortable, with turn down service. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. Having been to Guernsey many times this hotel is one I would recommend every time.

The room was clean quiet and very comfortable. We booked in as a party - mostly of pensionable age, so no late-night carousing The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. As a coach party, we had our meals apart from the regular guests - we suspected that they didn't want the other guests to know how well we were treated! The food was first class and there were no complaints that we heard.
Just before we left for our return journey, guests were arriving in numbers for a "masquerade" - so maybe it got noisy that night.
All in all, we would recommend it to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our bedrrom was spacious and comfortable (although road noise was a little intrusive at night). We ate in the restaurant each night and enjoyed well cooked and well presented meals; the only hiccup was vegetables which tended to be overcooked. Wine in the restaurant was heavily marked up so we didn't always treat ourslves to more than a glass.

Service was always excellent.

My wife and I travelled to Guernsey for a 5 night Autumn break and to be honest feel disappointed with the hotel

On entering our room I noticed a complete lack of air conditioning - instead a desk top fan is supplied. I can only imagine how bad room conditions could be in the summer? It also meant we had to sleep with balcony door open - see below for noise issues exacerbated by this need to have doors open.

Having been caught out on previous holidays I sort of knew what was coming when the maid had left a note in our room informing us of a wedding reception in the hotel and that "some noise may transfer to the bedrooms". What an understatement - and anyway, what were we expected to do? Move to another hotel? It's also not just the noise - it's the behaviour of wedding guests after consuming huge amounts of alcohol. The notice said noise should cease about 12midnight - it was well after 1am and disco was still on - not to mention our next room guests had to be told by me to shut up at 3am.

The up side is our room rate included a very good breakfast, free parking and the room had a fridge and a queen size bed.

On the whole I will use the hotel again, but only after I have asked about events first.

Found hotel to be very homely despite its size. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, it overlooked the garden side on the ground floor, however it was rather dark as our light was blocked by the overhang of the balcony above. Breakfast buffet was good. We did eat in the bar in the evening, the menu was varied and the pricing spot on. The staff were friendly and plentiful. We didn't have transport so used the regular bus service which had a bus stop 5 minutes walk away. Felt we made the right choice even if it is a little out of town.

From walking into reception and leaving today, everything has been done to ensure our stay was uneventful.

With multiple bookings done, allowing us to stay in the one room and reception automatically booking us in, saving us from checking in and out of the room.

Spa is wonderful, treatments are very good and popular, so prebooking is recommended before arrival.
