The hotel was on a main bus route into St Peter Port and to the west coast of Guernsey. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Alexandra, Michael and Andre in the Pavilion brasserie. The room was very comfortable with good ensuite facilities. Room service was very good too. We stayed half board as part of our holiday package - very good selection of foods for breakfasts, but we did have to have the same evening meals more than once. The food was excellent but a quite limited choice for evening meals. The bed was huge but the room was quite hot some nights , no air conditioning and ground floor with patio door wasn't an option for cooling the room down.

We have stayed in many of the Handpicked group hotels. St Pierre Park was one of the more modern style hotels compared with those on the mainland. The spa facilities were excellent. Rooms were good. Menu in the restaurant could have been a little more varied, but breakfasts were good. All of the staff were excellent and very attentive, clearly making us feel very welcome.

Strong signs of an attentive team bringing this hotel into the 21st Century. Good structure to work with but you can still see the stuck in time & work in progress elements.
Hot tubs for the Junior Suites & Suites are an amazing idea - but don't imagine that your private balcony isn't linked to all of the others.
And following a 'hot' theme - the hot, fresh, homebaked bread at breakfast definitely made my day :) Fantastic breakfast, lots of open space and parking. A little more revamping inside and out is needed, but don't let that stop you visiting.

Really enjoyed our stay at St.Pierre Park. The staff were most efficient from start to finish. A wide choice on the breakfast menu with good food available during the day.
This Hotel is about one mile from the centre of St. Peter Port within half an hour's walking distance. The bus stops almost outside the entrance and the fare is £1 per journey to anywhere on the Island.
Would not hesitate to recommend this establishment.

We had a brilliant stay at this lovely hotel, spacious rooms with balcony, big choice of breakfast, bars and restaurants in house, pleasant staff, indoor pool available, 9 hole golf course, on bus route, not far out of town, what more can you want?

A welcome return to an old favourite, Super food, nice room, very good staff who were welcoming and helpful in a friendly manner. Clean and tidy yet welcoming all made for a very happy few days. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Arrived and went to room , found sock and balcony door unable to be locked , these were resolved once highlighted , should not have needed to complain about basics, After this the hotel did well, Terrace bar staff polite and good service, Spa pool very good, breakfast was normal for this type of hotel, only had a light bar meal which was good, as we ate out to see what Guernsey had to offer , I would use this hotel again as it's position is quite central , bus stops outside , 25 min walk to St Peter Port sea front , or £5:50 by taxi.

Having seduced us with it's cleanliness, location and amenities in 2016, there was only one choice for my Fiancé and I when booking our now seemingly annual trip to Guernsey.....The beautiful St Pierre Park hotel, Spa and Golf resort.

I was excited to see Dutch, the young Swedish trainee again but alas, he had moved on to pastures new. Step forward Alvis, he greeted us at the door, took our bags to the rooms whilst we checked in, showed us around our room (254), it was slightly awkward when he lingered in the room for 3 or 4 seconds longer than was comfortable, but that's just Alvis for you. He's such a character. His brothers Elvis and Ulvis have a lot to live up to.

We had the same room that the noisy occupant from last year had, which did make me nervous as he seemed very unsavoury for this type of establishment, however I was confident the room had been sufficiently cleansed in the last 12 months. Again my only complaints were due to the other guests, there was a rather uncouth couple 2 doors down, a brash Welsh gentleman and a rather shrill lady with a north Nottinghamshire accent, we couldn't have our balcony doors open due to this couple, they were constantly arguing, I don't think my ears will ever forget the night they made up though! I'm assuming they were paying guests so not the hotels fault.

This year we had the chance to enjoy the fully refurbished gym and pool area, we spent one delightful morning enjoying the sun and hot tub area, it wasn't until late in the morning that we discovered the service button, this could have been better advertised. The gym has a wide range of equipment and facilities, my personal favourites are the cold water dispenser and the full range of weights available on the kettle bells (4kg, 6kg, 8kg, 10kg, 12kg, 14kg, 16kg, 18kg, 20kg, 24kg) There was a child in the pool, which completely ruined the ambiance but I found the temperature adequate and the depth acceptable. The sauna was as hot as the steam room was moist.

I took full advantage of the complimentary mints in reception but was aghast to see that the post cards are not longer free, be prepared to part with 25p or 50p for the slightly larger ones. This is an excellent business decision to maximise profits but ethically I would question this decision.

Breakfast was exceptional again, I stuck to what I know - gluten free chocolate flavoured rice puffs with whole milk. I did enjoy a cheeky pork sausage sandwich one day, I was on holiday you can't blame me! I found the bread to be dry and the butter was a little too chilled to spread, but the flavour was immense, it was like a sausage party in my mouth and all the sausages were invited. I found myself going back for more sausage, I ended up in a bit of mess, sausage juice all down my chin. The beef sausage wasn't as nice, didn't feel like a sausage you would munch on for breakfast, more of a sausage to enjoy for dinner, possibly lunch.

I firmly believe this to be the best hotel in Guernsey, if not the whole of the Channel Islands. They certainly have set my expectations high...see you next year St. Pierre Park, see you next year......

Arrived at 7pm and was looking at the menu on display at reception while checking in. We noticed that there was a carvery in the Victor Hugo restaurant, asked reception if we could book a table at 8pm and was told it would be booked and just give our room number.
We went to our room on the second floor over looking the car park. Nice big room, nice bathroom very clean. Very pleased with the room.
After a freshen up we went down to the Restaurant looking forward to the carvery. We were met at the door and said we had booked for 8pm, only to be told by a surly Gentleman that there was no way we could be accommodated, we said we had booked through reception, He said they should check with him first and to take a seat and he would arrange a table in 30 mins. Three other couples came in after us and were also told to take a seat , he then offered these couples drinks while they waited. We went to the bar and got our own as he never offered us any.
He then gave us a menu, we asked about the carvery but this finished at 2pm, (why was this menu still on display at reception, and why didnt the receptionist point this out as it was obvious this is what we were looking at).The menu was not large in choice and overpriced for what was being served. The waiting staff were very good but our first evening had been spoilt by the restaurant managers attitude. when we were leaving he did point out he had found our reservation but blamed reception for putting a room number and not our name.
Breakfast was by far a better experience , a large choice of cereal , cold meat, bread fruit and traditional help yourself English . The waiting staff offered Tea / coffee and toast. Nearly every day we had to keep asking for butter and milk.
Spent our evenings in the bar and had bar menu for meals as the hotel is a 20-30 min walk from the town and buses stop at 7.30pm, Bar menu had a good choice but was still a little pricey. Staff in bar were very good and friendly.
Swimming pool was nice clean and warm . Sauna and steam room beside the pool and were very good.
just the little things and the restaurant managers attitude stopped this being better than average. Would we return? possibly but would hire a car to use local restaurants with better choice.

We booked the St Pierre Park hotel having previously enjoys stays at other Hand Picked Hotels. We were in Guernsey for a long weekend at the end of March, the hotel was easy to find by car and we welcomed the 3 for 2 night offer during our stay. The hotel had a reasonable size car park and check-in was straightforward. Our room overlooked the lake and had a small balcony with table and chair which facilitated us catching the afternoon sun. Our room had a large wardrobe, tea and coffee area and a mini fridge. We felt the room could benefit from less of the old furniture which was dark and not in great condition to make more room for relaxing and making the balcony better accessible. The road alongside the hotel was quiet noisy, especially with motorbikes, this was not helped by the old patio doors which were ackward to open and close.
The buffet breakfast selection was very good, tea, coffee and toast of your choice were brought to the table once we were seated. One morning there were two large parties at breakfast and the hot buffet ran out, whilst I understand this can happen, it was frustrating that this went unnoticed by Alex and his team and we then had to wait sometime before the buffet was replenished.
The Terrace Bar was very good, we ate here each night, they offered a selection of hot and cold food and puddings. Relaxed sofa's, dining tables and chairs to suit all guests and a number of board games were available. Dave, Hugo and I think his name was Philip ran an excellent service during our stay, all polite, attentive and worked well as a team.
Wi-fi was available in the hotel and there was a Waitrose just across the road for essential items.

Very enjoyable break at St Pierre Park - clean and comfortable room with a great hot-tub and very good food in the Victor Hugo restaurant with plenty of local produce. Service helpful and good standard.

Excellent staff particularly on reception. Spacious and spotless room (most rooms seem to have balcony or terrace) and the food was good. Pool area had recently been refurbished and was lovely. Stunning grounds with massive pond. Lots of tourist info available and a walk into St Peters Port was 20-30 minutes. Handy supermarket almost opposite entrance for those of us who always forget an essential. Hotel obviously also very popular for business meetings and seminars for which the facilities looked perfect especially with ample parking.

We arrived by car in Guernsey and easily found the hotel on the outskirts of St Peter Port. There is ample free parking at the hotel. Our check in was very smooth and we were in our room within five minutes. We had a room with a garden view which includes a lake and fountain it was perfect. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom which had two large shelves to accommodate toilet bags etc.

The breakfast was good with the usual wide range of food available. You could order special food items such as omelettes separately. Unfortunately we did suffer a glitch in the service when it took about 20 minutes for my omelette to arrive but I suppose these things happen occasionally. We only ate in the bar in the evening but the food was good and the price reasonable. Our room sustained a lighting failure one evening which took about 1hour and half to repair after further prompting by myself. This was poor.

Would I use this hotel again yes I definitely would. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel fully warrants its 4 star rating.

We stayed just before Easter and had a great few nights. We were two families each with an eight year old. The staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We used the pool and spa facilities every day, although they restrict the times for children it worked out really well. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had drinks out on the terrace (fantastic in the evening sun) and drank in the bar later. Bar tender very funny and really attentive despite being busy. Breakfast was good, our only niggle was the slightly poor coffee. Really good selection food wise but would recommend an earlier sitting as some things did tend to run out. Overall first rate hotel and would definitely go again.

14 of us travelled to Guernsey to spend some quality time together after a stressful year.
The youngest in our party was 16 and the oldest 70+
We chose this hotel primarily for its location and facilities. We have stayed many times over the years but had stopped coming because it became a bit unloved and other hotels on the island were more attractive.
The hotel has clearly had some investment particularly noticeable in the spa. This was always good but Handpicked Hotels have put their signature stamp on it and now it's excellent. The pool is warm, experience showers work well, steam and sauna great. I particularly like that the sauna has glass walls looking over the lake as they can feel a bit claustrophobic. The outside jacuzzi works well although you have to be brave to run out to it and back!
The Victor Hugo restaurant in years gone by was superb and a real treat to go to. Sadly, this let us down and we only ate there on the first night.
The terrace bar is excellent and has a great selection of drinks including cocktails. We didn't eat there but lots of people did and the food looked great. Good selection of board games including monopoly and scrabble. I wish I'd known this as we brought ours with us...
Breakfast quality was great. Nothing was missing and I particularly liked the smoothie option, beetroot and raspberry most days. My only complaint here would be that the staff are sometimes slow to bring tea and coffee and clear plates.
The grounds are superbly kept and a pleasure to walk round or sit and admire. The children were able to play football, tennis and golf which kept them busy and off their phones! The lake is stunning.
Wifi is excellent, good speeds for what we needed which was a little google searching and keeping in touch with home.
We were a little disappointed with our room. We had specifically requested interconnecting rooms on our booking as our adult son has special needs. I was surprised to be charged an additional forty pounds for this on arrival. The room was certainly not an upgrade to the original one offered in size or quality.
Despite this, our room was clean and well equipped and even had a fridge which was an excellent bonus. The views over the tennis court and hot tub were good although the balcony was tiny and really the chair and table provided were unnecessary as there was really only room to stand.
Finally, the staff were great. Very polite and friendly. Jasmine gave an excellent facial and the reception staff were exceptionally helpful.
Overall we had a few hiccups. What was important though was the staff recognised this and did their utmost to put it right. It wouldn't stop me returning. Everyone had a wonderful time.

My top tips would include using the buses. They are cheap, frequent and easy to use. The hotel has a stop right outside. Also there is a Waitrose supermarket across the road useful for snacks and drinks when you have children, or not!
Rooms with a view are nice but if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room don't worry about upgrading.

Such an amazing hotel! We spent four nights at St. Pierre Park and can't wait to go back again! The staff were all very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help e.g. offering us a lift to the airport instead of having to pay a taxi fare - being students on a budget this was very much appreciated! The spa and pool were great and the food was excellent! We would highly recommend this hotel!

We booked a couple of rooms for a long weekend and my wife and I ended up on the first floor above reception. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had a separate table and a couple of chairs as well as a balcony .There is a fridge for personal use as well as a couple of complimentary bottles of mineral water. The free Wi-Fi was pretty good and seemed to work throughout the hotel including the spa.
Breakfast is a very standard UK buffet with a pretty good choice of hot and cold. There are other items that you order at no extra charge. These include pancakes, kipper and soft boiled eggs. We found the service to be a little bit slow at breakfast especially when the hotel were entertaining a hockey club.
The bar area is quite big but can be divided into 2 which allows the hotel to separate standard guests with those attending a function. This happened whilst we were there and did help. The service was pretty good and there do offer a range of food and snacks.
The grounds incorporate a small lake tennis courts and a small ‘crazy golf course – although the latter needs a bit of love and affection. There is also a spa which offers the normal range of treatments, a gym, a separate weights room and a good size pool. We spent a happy afternoon lazing around the pool during our stay.
Just a couple of points to mention. If you out on the balcony your neighbouring guests can clearly hear every word. A bit annoying if you want a lie in but your neighbours are up bright and early. Similarly we could clearly hear the TV and phone in the next door room.

All in all a solid 4 star but the fixtures and fittings are shwoing their age and look a bit dated

Stayed here in March, ended up staying longer due to being fog bound. First two days good, food ok, breakfast ok. Lovely spa,
Had to stay a third night being fog bound, ended up in a room that was next to service lift, which was very noisy I found after 10pm at night. Reported the noise as I was in bed trying to sleep. Receptionist was indifferent, stating that she coudl not understand what noise was, several phone calls later she admitted it was the kitchen lift. This attitude put me off and I stayed somewhere else the next night.

this was a return visit for a 5 day break. We last visited here about 3-4 years ago (it snowed-the first time in over 25 years!) and so had some fond memories.
The hotel has now got new owners and there are some marked improvements.
The leisure Club, pool, gym, sauna and spa have been upgraded to a very high standard- very impressive.
There is work in progress for a new driving range for the golf club - to be completed soon.
We had breakfast here and a couple of evening meals- excellent.
The staff are hard working and friendly - definitely go here again

I can claim to have been there when this hotel first opened c/o Ann St Brewery circa 1982...since then the St Pierre has had mixed reviews. I stayed there last week end attending a sports event and really was only looking for a nice clean bed, hot shower and a sleep...
The staff are really very welcoming - the whole place has a relaxing feel and is well run.
You get the feeling that the owner has passed on the sense that the staff are important and that they have control over the guest's experience...not "if I mess up I will be in trouble"
You would go too wrong staying here...nice position, well maintained and a really pretty setting - go for it...bacon roll and coffee was good...bar staff friendly and correct

Our first visit to Guernsey and our stay here was very enjoyable. Friendly attentive staff, very good service, clean, attractive rooms, breakfast excellent with a wide choice. We booked half board which was well cooked and served in the restaurant but it was too much for us so next time I would do B & B and then decide whether to eat in the restaurant or bar. Swimming pool great, did not use other facilities. It is some way from the harbour and St. Peter Port is very steep but there is an excellent bus service past the door every 15 mins. Used the bus all the time to get round island. (£1 a trip on every bus regardless of distance). Be aware Guernsey is a seasonal place so many attractions around the island are not open all years round.

This is a great hotel with outstanding service and customer care. All the staff greet you with a smile and seemed to mean it. Although the rooms are a little dated the beds and facilities are very good. The hotel has a new spa with a wonderful swimming pool. The lake and the grounds are beautiful we had a room overlooking the lake. Finally the people who work there make the hotel, with a special mention for Sandra who looked after our room 309 and Dave the Barman who gave us outstanding service throughout. Dave & Liz Phillips

On arrival we were upgraded to an executive room which overlooked the grounds at the back of the hotel. The bed was lovely, big and comfy
The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The food in the restaurants couldn't be better, the breakfast selection had everything you could think of.
The spa was fairly new and is a great addition to the hotel.
All in all a perfect getaway. We will return again for definate
