Previously a Guernsey resident now have returned to the rock this weekend for a friends wedding and stayed 2 nights here. The hotel was the pride of Guernsey back in the day, now it's a smart hotel that needs an overhaul, we had a classic double room with little balcony overlooking the car park. It's clean mostly modern but still has a key to open the room door, dated in this day and age also it has no aircon this is a huge let down. Beds comfortable sheets clean and fresh shower in the bath. Not helpful if you are less able bodied. Wifi throughout. Health suite available

We only dined for the wedding reception so can't comment on other meals but would warn that the bar prices are exorbitant £20 for two large glasses of wine !!! The staff are friendly and as most common in Guernsey not local

This hotel is known locally for corporate seminars and company Christmas parties these will always take preference over guests so expect residents bar and meals to be relocated

If you're there for business it's fine, it's not 5 star it's guernsey's 5 crown rating so don't compare or expect London or even Jersey metro city style hotel
If you're going for leisure to Guernsey. Unless it's on a special package look at other hotels.

Just got back from a most enjoyable stay at this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay there as comfortable as positive. From the waitresses in the breakfast room to the room cleaning staff. A big thank you to Andrew (breakfast) & Caterina (room cleaner) for making our stay enjoyable.
The whole hotel was well run everyone was very friendly & always smiled a greeting. The rooms were were kept very clean as was the bathroom .which in my view is very important. A kettĺe, tea & coffee was provided & topped up every day. There's a table & two chairs on a balcony too should you want to sit outside. We would love to come again.

We come to Guernsey twice a year. We have family here but we love to stay in Hotels.

We came for Lunch at the St. Pierre on our last visit and decided to give it a whirl this time.

In our opinion it is a Corporate Hotel. Great for Business Travellers and Conferences.

As frequent visitors to Guernsey and frequent guests of 5 star Hotels, I think we'd say :

It's not what we would class as 5-star. It lacks the finesse of other 5-star Hotels.

The staff are generally friendly enough. Although the Spa staff have a practiced air of snobbery and disdain.

The Hair Salon is not open at the weekend.

Food service finishes at 10pm. The Room Service Menu continues for a short time after 10pm but is limited to Sandwiches.

We returned after a dreadful meal at 10:15pm hoping for Desserts and Digestifs - only to be disappointed. We could have the drinks but not the Pudding. I'm not sure how hard it is to scoop some Guernsey Ice Cream into a Bowl?

It's pleasant. It's clean. It's Corporate. The Spa is lovely.

We look forward to returning to the Fermain Valley Hotel next visit.

Spent Thursday to Sunday at this wonderful hotel in May .
The hotel was first class with a restaurant on the lower level with decking over looking the grounds and lake ,and on the upper floor a bar with the same views serving bar meals lunch and evening ,afternoon tea plus morning tea and coffee.
so something for all.
The Spa with treatments, swimming pool and out door spa and indoor sauna over looking the gardens.
Such a relaxing time and staff were very welcoming .

We have recently stayed at this lovely resort in Rohais, Guernsey, close to St Peter Port.

Standards are high in all areas of the hotel - in particular, the leisure facilities - and especially the spa & swimming pool. If your stay coincides with good weather, as it did with us, the outdoor facilities provide comfort and lovely views over the lake and gardens.

We stayed on a room & breakfast deal - a good selection of breakfast items are available on a self serve basis, but there are other a la carte items that can be ordered from and served by a generally friendly, caring and attentive restaurant team. We did however briefly visit the main restaurant where dinner was served - and it looked very nice. It was very busy too, which speaks for itself.

The bar is impressive with a lovely terrace looking out towards the lake.

Our bedroom and bathroom were excellent, very clean and well furnished. We were lucky to have a small balcony that overlooked the gardens and lake on floor 4.The room also contained a good sized fridge,

The location is, for those who like a stroll, around 45 minutes walk from the busy and beautiful waterfront and harbour. Its downhill most of the way, but I would recommend you get one of the very regular buses back to Rohais which takes around 10 - 15 minutes. The stops are very close to the hotel (near Waitrose)

For the sporting type, apart from the swimming, there are some lovely tennis courts and a proper 9 hole golf course. You can hire sporting equipment if needed.

There is a large car park at the front and side of the hotel.

The taxi trip to and from the airport takes around 15-20 minutes and cost us £10 per trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the St Pierre Park, and look forward to returning in the future.

We did a 3 night break at the St Pierre and couldnt fault the hotel. The staff are all lovely and cant do enough for you. The rooms and hotel areas are all spotlessly clean. Nice views over the small lake at the back of the hotel at breakfast and in the evening whilst using the bar. We didnt use the spa, as the weather was amazing, so we were hardly in the hotel, but we did have a quick look and its lovely and ideal for a spa break. All in all a nice hotel within a 15 minute walk of the centre of St Peter Port

I regularly stay in Guernsey with work and this is a hotel the client often uses. To be honest, it is always good to see the travel request come back with the St Pierre Park and I've used almost all of the facilities now, so it seems a good time to leave a review.

The hotel is well established. It sits on a beautiful plot and has about 4 floors of rooms. Some look out over the stunning waterfall and landscaped area, others face toward the front of the hotel.

The rooms are well equipped but some feel a little dated. Others are going through a refurb programme and are offered as 'executive' or 'premium' - I can't actually remember the phrase they use. These new ones unfortunately, while being more modern, reek of fresh paint and new flatpack furniture so it's quite off putting. The rooms have been given a more modern feel but until the strength of the refurbishment smell subsides, I'd be happier staying in the 'older' rooms. All in, that's a compliment to how well the older rooms still are.

All rooms have a good sized bed, free and reasonably fast wifi, a flat screen TV (reasonable channels), with tea and coffee making facilities as well as a fridge (some rooms have water in them, others don't) and of course an en-suite bathroom. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are, by and large well equipped. Writing the review immediately after the hot spell we have had though makes me think that the west facing rooms really do need some air conditioning which unfortunately none have. If you leave the balcony open, it is invariably closed by the housekeeping staff so coming back in the evening, means you can be walking in to what feels like a furnace, all be it - a very clean one - the staff do a great job in making sure the rooms are cleaned and well looked after. The bathroom though does feel dated with no change for the newer rooms and whilst you do get the standard little pots of shampoo and all of that, they really could focus on the shower pressure, heat and general use. In some rooms, it seems okay, in others you have to start it, wait for a while and pray for a reasonable amount of heat/pressure. A few have had chipped/broken hose connections.

Reception on the other hand, has always been super efficient, check in is quick if you've stayed before and during check out they can process spend direct to any card you've left for authorisation. I like how quick and very polite this part of your stay is and it's a welcome plus for any hotel to get this right. SPP definitely have.

On to the food - a little disappointing if I am honest. It seems such a shame to have a good hotel which doesn't excel at their food offering. Guernsey is so very good at food and drinks that I just don't get why the SPP doesn't try and compete. I've tried a few times and while the hot food is hot and the cold food is cold, it just doesn't make me say - "great meal" - when almost every other place I've eaten at on this island - does.

On to the gym, which is superb. It has gone through a recent refurbishment programme and the equipment is modern, the gym areas (multiple rooms) are well laid out and everyone who attends seems happy with what they get. I haven't used the spa or the pool but you really do get a great feel about the place. There are multiple classes going on when I visit in the morning and/or evening and it's never so busy that you can't do a workout or are prevented doing so because of personal trainer lessons.

I'm not a golfer by any stretch of the imagination but we've had a go at this stunning course, a couple of times. The booking can be made online and even when you can't bring your own clubs, the shop is very well prepared in making things right with hiring anything needed. The course is very well kept and there is a whole new area being built which will bring a new driving range, club house and training facilities. If I'm there when finished, I can't wait to use this.

Breakfast is a high I want to end on.... this place is perfect, there is a great selection of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, cheeses, pastries as well as gluten free options alongside a full hot selection and a menu on the table of special items such as kippers/porridge/pancakes etc. Add to this some great restaurant staff and it's a really good way to start the day.

All in, I really like the SPP, I enjoy staying here and I look forward to staying again over the next few weeks with work and again very soon with my wife and our children.

We've just had a lovely long weekend stay here as we were over for a family wedding. Fernando picked us up from the airport and he was very friendly. The ladies at the reception desk were equally as welcoming. Our room was excellent and it had a (extended) balcony overlooking the fountain. Given the hot weather though, it would make the room even more comfortable if air conditioning was installed. Breakfast was excellent; spoilt for choice.

In all this is an excellent hotel in beautiful surrounding. When we come to Guernsey again we will definitely stay here.

We stayed here for Father's Day weekend and had a lovely time. My 5 year old loved spending time in the pool and play area . It is a shame that the children's pool time isn't a bit earlier in the morning as it did disrupt our day having to wait until 9.30am to use it. It is available for children to use it from 3.30pm in the afternoon too, which we took full advantage of each day.

We ate dinner in the restaurant on Friday evening and the service and food was very good. Breakfast was very nice too, with a good variety to suit everyone.

We hired a car in order to see as much as beautiful Guernsey as possible. This was definitely the right decision as we traveled around the whole coast, taking in as many of the sights as possible.

We didn't manage to see everything in 2 days so we will most definitely be returning!

Our only criticism is that the room was very warm due to the sun shining in all afternoon and evening, despite us keeping the curtains closed and door open. Air conditioning would make the stay much more comfortable during summer months.

The hotel and grounds are very beautiful, great for families to enjoy.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip, I am staying here 2 more times, as this is the preferred hotel for the company.

First impression ... trying to be something it is not. It appears to be a high class hotel, however, I found this not to be the case. It is definitely in need of some TLC.

Reception area is clean, and there is a concierge service if required.
There are a lot of stairs here as the hotel appears to be over 4 floors. There are lifts but as I did not required it.

The room itself was on the top floor, and was pretty standard for a hotel room, with tea and separate Nespresso machine. There is also the added luxury of a mini fridge.
The carpets were stained and there was a sticky patch near the bed.
The bathroom was big enough, although there was a button missing off the shower, which controlled the water pressure.
The balcony area was fine, although the safety lock on the patio doors was a bit pointless as it didn't work properly.

My room overlooked the pond & fountain, so there was some background noise form this, but the main noise was form the main road which runs next to the hotel.

Breakfast seemed a bit chaotic. Waiting to be seated was ok, however once seated there did not seem to be enough staff to cover the tables. On my second morning, I was seated, but not offered tea or coffee or toast.
The buffet element is plentiful, and was not disappointed.

I ate in the Pavilion restaurant on one evening, but that was disappointing and I reviewed it separately. In fact, it was so disappointing, that I went to Waitrose over the road and got some sandwiches instead.

I'm hoping that my next two stays are better.

I stayed here for one night on a work trip. I found all of the staff to be warm and friendly and keen to make sure you were happy. The hotel is very clean, particularly the rooms. Lovely grounds especially when the sun is shining! Breakfast was also really good with lots of choice. They only complaint would be the temperature in the rooms - it was extremely warm!

Visited with friends and the staff were fantastic, especially Shaun the manager.
Every room has a balcony but each floor is a different size. Rooms are compact but comfy with a fridge and coffee maker and kettle. They definitely need air conditioning as the rooms are extremely hot at night. Lovely turn down service in the evening!
Breakfast was good, lots of choices with the addition of freshly cooked food.
The Pavilion was good, lovely desserts. Staff were very attentive.
Bar staff were excellent and their Pimms is fantastic! Shame that there are TVs on in there with the volume up. Especially when each room has their own TVs anyway.
Spa area is nice, lovely pool and outside hot tub.
Unfortunately, the treatment was not the best with the therapist talking the whole way through. Check that you have been booked in for the correct treatment as a couple of us had problems on our arrival in the spa. Many of spa staff do not wear names which I think should be changed.

This Hotel is exceptional. Very clean and plenty of facilities. Restaurants are great. Our Room was a double deluxe which had a large balcony. I can not fault the staff and the whole hotel. We will recommend this hotel to anyone asking for a hotel in Guernsey

Our first time at this hotel, which is a little more than a quick walk into town, St Pierre Park is situated on the outskirts of St Peter Port in a nice position surrounded by well kept gardens and grounds (more of that later!). Welcome was excellent the reception areas smart and bedrooms of a high standard, large, comfortable, clean and luxuriously appointed, with balconies etc. Although we only took breakfast in the restaurant it was of good quality and with an excellent choice of self service hot and cold buffet and various options that could be ordered direct from the kitchen. Service was top notch, quick and attentive and with a personal touch at times which was nice. Staying at the weekend it was clear there were a number of extended family groups in residence and an evening wedding celebration (the disruption to guests caused by the latter was minimal and well communicated by management). The balcony rooms on the south side do overlook to some degree outside terrace areas and, unfortunately due to the position of a treeline there's something of a "tunnel" effect created outside where even the smallest of sounds is trasmitted quite effectively along the line of the buildings. In good weather with plenty of folk sitting outside and with windows necessarily open as bedrooms were not air-conditioned it was, at times, noisy. Okay if you like the "party/holiday resort" atmosphere, but perhaps not if you wanted to get away from it all! I most definitely could have done without the 6am wake up call on Sunday morning courtesy of the leaf blower being used liberally around the grounds - a practice worth reviewing by management perhaps?

I stayed for one night with work in June, after previously last staying several years ago. The hotel is a 25 minute walk and 7 minute drive from town. There is a bus stop near the hotel, outside Waitrose and this run frequently for £1.

The hotel is set in nice large grounds and plenty of parking. The set up is professional and looks like a recent programme of refurbishment has taken place.

I booked a double room and was not disappointed. The room was smart, clean and large in size with a garden view and outside seating area. I used the popular spa facilities, which had a gym, pool, steam room, sauna and outside hot tub. The only downside is that the facilities are small, i.e. limited opportunities to swim if more than 2 people are in the pool. However, this should not put you off.

I had dinner in the bar and one of the best burger I have tasted in a long time. A nice relaxed atmosphere as well. The breakfast was buffet style and so many choices and good quality produce. Staff were friendly and seem to pride themselves on offering a good service.

Overall I would return and would recommend for business or a short break.

I along with 4 friends have just spent a long weekend at St Piierre Park and could not ask for a nicer place to stay. Every single member of staff that we encountered spent time to talk to us and help us with anything we asked of them. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that asks. One thing that was missing was air conditioning in the bedrooms. Hopefully that will be introduced in the near future.

We have just returned from a weeks family holiday and had a really enjoyable time we stayed on a bed and breakfast holiday. The staff were very friendly and there to help you ,the pool was very nice and clean although it would be nice if the children could use the pool a bit later than 9.30 in the morning then it is from 3.30 till 6 o'clock.
The children's play area is very good and the crazy golf is fun the grounds are kept very clean and tidy. We arranged for the hotel mini bus to take us to the harbour for our trip to Sark and then they picked us up from our return.
Well done Ronnie all credit to staff and we will be back.

We have just come back from a three night stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we stepped into the spacious well appointed reception area we knew we had chosen a great place to stay. From the very start the reception staff were warm and welcoming especially the dutch lady (apologies I cannot remember her name) and continued to be throughout our stay. We had paid a small surcharge to have a garden facing room and this was worth every penny extra, our room was on the ground floor looking out to the tennis courts each room on this level has a terrace with seating perfect for relaxing after a days sight seeing or shopping! The room was spacious comfortable very clean and the bed was gorgeous! The breakfast was good plenty of choice, again the waiting staff are very warm and helpful. We chose to eat at the terrace bar each evening as there is plenty of choice and to sit on the terrace on a lovely warm evening eating dinner is wonderful! Again we could not fault the bar staff/waiters Dave, Marisuzw (apologies i know this is not the correct spelling) and the bar manager are a joy to talk to. If you don't want a hotel in the centre of things then this is perfect, the hotel is set in lovely peaceful grounds and if we had more time then I would have certainly tried out the spa but then again there's always next time!
The hotel is about a 20 to 25 minute walk into St Peter Port but there is a good bus service into town and the nearest bus stop into town is just minutes away past waitroses carpark exit (tip most bus stops are identified by the word Bus on the pavement as opposed to an actual bus stop sign) Numbers 41 and 42 serve this route. Quite frankly for a £1 per single fare its not really worth hiring a car if there is just two of you we saw most things by using the bus and a bit of walking and saved an awful lot of money and some of the roads are extremely narrow! The terminus in town is on the seafront and just outside of the travel agents there you can catch the 91 or 92 which does a circular tour of the island for £1 each and takes around 75 mins a perfect way to see the island.
In short I cannot recomend this hotel highly enough and will certainly go back.

good parts, room was spacious with great views, bar staff were excellent. Spa and pool area brand new.
Bad parts, for a hotel of this standing, waiting in line to be seated for 20 minutes with people lining up down the hall for breakfast was disappointing, They appeared to not have enough staff but this happened throughout the two weeks, weekends and week days.the Junior concierge was extremely defensive rather than helpful when I just explained my paper was not delivered. Minor things but adds to the memories...

I recently had a short break at the St Pierre Park. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff all very friendly and helpful. There were a number of events on during our stay, including a wedding party but this did not affect our enjoyment in staying here. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast food was high quality. We had dinner on one evening and the food was also of a high standard; especially recommend the scallops. I didn't have time to try out the pool or spa but will certainly do that on a return visit. Well done St Pierre Park manager and team.

St Pierre Park is another good example of a hand picked hotel. Great for families.
It is disappointing that the only rooms that can accommodate a third child's bed are on the top floor with the tiniest of balconies only suitable for 1 person. These rooms get very hot and no air conditioning. The health club facilities are excellent, the treatments we had in the spa very good. The very friendly team are trying hard but improvements are needed to reach another star. Housekeeping fell short and some confusions at breakfast time. We only had breakfasts which were very good. The courtesy bus is an excellent option into Town, but not always available if the hotel has functions,so guest needs not always put first which is disappointing. None of this things would prevent us from staying at this hotel again.

Really enjoyable 24 hours in Guernsey away from our 3 year old. On arrival at airport we got 2 buses to the hotel which was easy enough (no taxis for a couple of hours). Dropped outside door of hotel and the whilst waiting for room really enjoyed the refurnished SPA. The reception staff Katerina and Angela were very helpful. When ready we went to room on 3 rd floor but not a good view of the lake from balcony so we were accommodated in room 407 which is recommended for whiling away an afternoon. We got bus to La Perla restaurant in evening and walked back (about 20 mins but nice to walk off 3 course meal). In the morning we were back in the SPA for 7am which was lovely way to start the day. Obviously the lie in never happened and we must just be programmed to get up early these days ! A nice breakfast breakfast and then boat home rounded off a great 24 hours. What was of note was how friendly and accommodating the staff were from reception the SPA and the bar. Thanks you v much we will be back ...

Stayed here for only 1 night on a work trip, which is a shame as I would have liked longer!!! staff were very attentive and refreshingly friendly, room was lovely and clean with a huge bed and bathroom was nice and clean too. The room had a balcony to the front which was nice to sit out in the morning. We went out for dinner so didn't get chance to sample the food but colleagues who got up in time for breakfast assure me it was good! Bar service was great with a vast selection and some great gin cocktails, we enjoyed these out on the terrace at the back which overlooks a beautiful pond/lake. There were gym and pool facilities also but we didn't use them as we were only here 1 night. Would highly recommend and will definitely book here for a longer stay next time!!
