The room was spacious with a small balcony and sea view which was very pleasant. It was cool in the evenings but the wide opening windows allowed the view to be enjoyed.

The breakfasts were great with a very wide choice of cooked dishes, fruits, yogurts etc

The staff were brilliant - always very friendly while being professional

A lovely place to stay

We stayed at the Duke of Richmond for four nights at the end of August to attend a wedding on the Island.
From the time we arrived until the time we left we were impressed with all aspects of the hotel.
The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all extremely helpful and efficient.
Breakfast was exceptional.
Our room was on the small side (not unusual for somewhere like this), but immaculately decorated and cleaned.
The location was good with only a short walk into town, although this was down a steep hill.

I have recently returned from my second stay at this wonderful hotel this year. The check in to my leaving was handled professionally and with smiles all round.
My room on the third floor, a superior King ,Room315 was immaculate and kept so during my stay by the friendly staff each day.
I enjoyed a limited side view of St Peter Port harbour and a full view of Elizabeth Tower and the town.
The meals in the Leopard Bar and Restaurant were superb specially the cooked breakfast and the wonderful array of fish dishes in the evening. It was a pleasure to be welcomed each evening by Linda, Calla and Ben who were helpful in making my meal choices. It was nice to see Anya and Thomas from my previous visits. Also Olga on my last morning at breakfast.
Each evening without prompting a vodka and tonic awaited me on the bar served by the two stars in the bar. (sorry boys missed your names. )!What service!
All in all a great hotel with such a friendly and yet professional team I will be back!

We recently returned from a midweek break to this hotel. We loved it! Lovely room, fantastic food and the most amazing and friendly staff. All the little added touches make this a really special place - the sweeties left out for guests, the cool drinks on hand after a swim or a long walk, the sun tan lotions by the pool. A very special hotel with the focus on the guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. You should be very proud.

Stayed here with my son and we loved it. From the fabulous food, including ‘tennis afternoon tea’ to the attentive staff. Olga, looked after us really well and her service is impeccable.

Downside was the shower (over bath) head which was not great as it drenched the floor more than once, also bedroom has 3 steps down to it from entrance which is tricky during night, (only reason for 4 star rating).

Everything from arrival to departure exceeded my expectations. The service and staff were fantastic. The room was very nice and well fitted. The hotel amenities were very good and the breakfast was excellent. The area and location was perfect as it was in easy walking distance from the center but far enough away not to be disturbed.

We stayed here for a week recently while in Guernsey and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is attractive with large comfortable bedrooms. The staff are very friendly and extremely efficient. We found the breakfast selection very good especially the cooked options to order. The only time we ate in the Leopards Bar was to have afternoon tea - delicious and we were very well looked after. Yes there is a hill to climb from St Peter Port however I think there would be a hill to climb wherever you stayed in this lovely port. My mother is 88 snd she managed it twice a day. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is one of the nicest hotels that we have been to for a while on arrival the Staff had the room ready at 11 am ! The staff have a can do attitude and they do every thing they can to help you, the room was great and the cleaning team did a great job we had great help from the cleaning supervisor who did so much to accommodate us she went out of her way to check everything was ok
reception staff worked very hard to fulfil our requests and again nothing was a problem, the food is superb in the restaurant we had one small issue in one night having booked and arrived at the correct time with a quite restaurant we finally got served 25 mins later
We were in room 404 which is at the back of the hotel the kitchen fan which is noisy and starts about 6.30am and stops at around 10pm we are early risers, but if you are not you may consider a room at the front of the hotel
We really had a great time from the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was looked after. If i had to chose a person who stood out from the crowd it would be difficult.Paul (bar)Alex(reception) And the cleaning supervisor are hot contenders but that said everybody does a great job

We stay in the Sark Suite and could not be happier!

The bathroom was spacious and clean - tub/shower combo. Heated floors and towel rack.

The suite itself was large and very comfortable! Two twin beds that were joined together but not uncomfortable. Large sofa perfect for napping. Desk with chair. Small table with two chairs. Refrigerator, French Press for Coffee, electric Tea kettle + large selection of teas, instant Regular and Decaf Coffee.

Room service leaves yummy packaged cookies (Border Biscuits) + a different nightly sweet treat at turndown!

Huge patio with a table + 4 chairs along with two chaise loungers.

Absolutely perfect!

Room service was great, as well - delicious food with quick delivery!

We ended up staying here unexpectedly as the Condor ferry had broken down. We did not know what to expect but were very pleased with the hotel and staff. The room was lovely with the added bonus of a balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is wonderful. The service and food in the restaurant for the evening meal and breakfast was lovely. We would love to come back for a proper visit.

We stayed with the family for a few days in two fantastic communicating bedrooms. Great level of service by all employees. Amazing breakfast on the outside terrace. Also had dinner there once, and it was a remarkable experience. We will surely go there again.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel and loved the whole experience. We were very impressed with our room 501 which had lovely views of Victoria Tower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and nicely furnished. The restaurant Leopard was excellent, we ate there twice. The breakfast was also delicious with lots of choice. All of the staff were very friendly and pleasant. It was my birthday when I was there and I thought it was a very nice gesture for them to acknowledge it. The hotel is situated in a nice area next to Candie Gardens, it was only a 10 minute walk into the centre of St. Peter's Port. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We have just had a fantastic week at the Duke of Richmond. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and the beds were so comfortable. The food is delicious with a large choice of specials each day. The staff are extraordinarily attentive and their eye for detail is to be applauded. All the staff were wonderful but Olga in particular was very helpful. Our three children were spoilt from the moment they arrived and the special touches for the children was particularly appreciated. The weather wasn’t brilliant but I think the children still managed to get in the pool most days although it was far too cold for me. The children did have to wear wet suits as the week went on so perhaps the temp could turn up a notch or two in inclement weather?! We were sorry to leave after our lovely week and will most certainly be back. Thank you again to all the wonderful staff.

We loved everything about this hotel, from our check in with Georgia to our checkout with Emma and Georgia. Our room was splendid. Elegant and comfortable. Perhaps too much furniture and booklets and papers that clutter the space for our needs.
Gorgeous breakfast room, led by Olga who was everywhere all at once. Impressive breakfast. Great value!

A two night stay at this fabulous hotel. Staff so polite and helpful. They have all been taught extremely well. The food was fantastic. Extremely clean and the whole hotel is just lush. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Just a fifteen minute walk into the town with shops, bars and restaurants. They even acknowledged my husband’s birthday. Can’t fault this hotel at all. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Guernsey. Thank you to all the staff for the whole experience.

We had a few gluten free people in our group and everything went perfectly with our Wimbledon style afternoon tea . We loved being given a selection of different teas in leaf form in labelled jars to select our preferred and individual choice . Tea being served in “ Wimbledon style” boxes complete with little nets was also different to the norm and beautifully presented with each of two people sharing a box and each portion separated by the net !! The food was delicious and the service was spot on . I was impressed that the Waiter even remembered who had ordered which tea ! A most enjoyable Afternoon tea and I would certainly recommend it to others .

The customer service is excellent with a great attention to detail and staff going the extra mile. The location was perfect and decor beautiful. The bed was particularly comfy and the views breathtaking. They serve a very good breakfast and refreshing drinks at reception. Really appreciated the ease of bike renting as well.
Couldn't have been better! Would definitely return if visiting Guernsey again.

Beautiful decor, excellent quality of food and the staff are fabulous. I have to mention three members of staff in particular. Linda and Olga in the restaurant are so good at their jobs it is noteworthy. Emma on reception very helpful and friendly.
The only minus for me was that the double room was very small and I am glad I was in there on my own. Beautiful room but small.

We stayed at the Duke of Richmond 29th of July to the 2nd of August after our ferry to Jersey was cancelled and we weren’t able to stay at the Radisson Blu on Jersey. We received a last minute family room which was beautiful and way better than we could have ever expected, the hotel is opulent and full of character, decor is interesting and very ‘baroque’ it reminded us of a trip to one of the best hotels in Venice which we stayed In a few years ago. The service is amazing we were made to feel welcome and valued, customer service is second to none (I am a former NVQ Assessor for Customer Service) Samir made the most amazing cocktails and made my Foster Daughter feel like a Princess with his attention to detail, after her Initial disappointment at Condor Ferries and thinking we wouldn’t even get on a holiday this year he made her year, thank you Samir, Jess sends her love :) the restaurant food was beautiful, lemon sole boned and prepared at our table, no request too much, swimming pool area restful and peaceful, no ‘yobs’ at this hotel, classy and restful, unique and attention to detail, cannot fault the attentive staff, did not get the name of the two ladies who greeted us every morning for breakfast and evening for our meal, but they were amazing as well, polite, friendly without being over ‘gushy’ and in our face. Perfect holiday Thank you very much, we will definitely Return to this little hidden gem in the heart of Guernsey :)

I was invited to the Duke of Richmond for afternoon tea and I was pleasantly surprised. Situated across Cambridge Park, it is a place that can't be missed and offers peace and quiet.

Food was presented in a Wimbledon-style courtyard box. Very fun and cleverly done, this way you could happily tuck into your own half without worrying that you might have accidentally pinched on of your friends' scones. ;)

Service was friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Well done team, you've got yourselves a place to be proud of.

Visited the Duke on a Saturday afternoon. We chose to sit outside on the terrace.
We took our dog with us. This hotel is very dog friendly. The staff were very welcoming to both us and our little dog.
The afternoon tea was excellent. The staff efficient and friendly. We have been there before for tea and we will return.

Could not praise this hotel enough. We have very high standards but our stay surpassed all expectations. Excellent location at top of hill with lovely views down over Candie Gardens and port. We stayed in a superior room which was lovely. Prior to stay I requested a bath and just after arrival a special delivery of a very large bottle of bubble bath gave us an indication as to the attention to detail paid by the staff. Each and every staff member was perfect for their role and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely boutique hotel.
