Jackie and Sian are experts. I have popped in for advice, for jewellery cleaning and mending, bought presents for others and loved the professionalism and friendliness that they always present. I have entrusted some important heirloom jewellery to Jackie to remodel, a ring and earrings, and I also asked for design ideas for my engagement ring. The results are always stunning! I am not a type of person that purchases everyday designs out of the window, so when I was left a piece of jewellery from a relative I wanted to have this redesigned. I had no idea of what style of ring I wanted or how I could use the stones. I went into see Jackie & Sian as I knew they were both jewellery designers and there years of experience would make this piece of jewellery transform into something special. When I picked up my piece of jewellery it was so beautiful it bought tears to my eyes. The difference with Lance James and all the staff to anywhere else I have been, they are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble (I'm sure I have driven them mad sometimes) and listen to your needs and give great ideas and advice. I have since been back and had a second piece of jewellery redesigned and have also recommended a relative to them. I would not go anywhere else as there work and professionalism is second to none.

My girlfriend couldn’t find the engagement ring she wanted so I thought it would be best for her to design it then it would be exactly what she wanted. After having a few quotes that were really expensive, Lance James offered a much more reasonable quote so my girlfriend went to their shop in Hertford to discuss her designs. She met with Sian and Amy who were both really helpful. I had already bought her centre diamond so they were discussing the setting and extra diamonds she wanted adding. They had a few meetings to discuss designs and sent lots of emails back and forth so everything was explained very well. Sian was very patient and knowledgeable offering advice about the setting, side diamonds, sizing and cost. Needless to say when I actually proposed, the ring was exactly what she wanted. She loves it more each day. My new Fiancé is quite a perfectionist so the service and expertise at Lance James in Hertford was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this Company, you get a much more personal and tailored experience rather than shopping with High Street Jewellers that everyone goes to. Plus her ring is a one off. We will be back for her wedding band

Lance James Jewellers, in particular Jackie Benson, was so helpful when I approached the shop for a bespoke re-design of my 31 year old engagement ring. I loved my ring but felt I needed a more modern design, I had an idea of what I wanted which I had sketched out, keeping the main design of my original diamonds and incorporating some inherited diamonds from my older sisters ring into my design. Jackie instantly knew what I wanted and was able to incorporate my ideas into the ring design. She was very professional and knowledgeable and was able to bring my design to life, the ring was exactly how I had imagined it to be. I would highly recommend Lance James for all of your jewellery needs in particular any bespoke work or redesign, they are spot on!

I want to propose to my beautiful girlfriend and didn’t want a mass produced ring, I needed something personal and hoped to use the diamond from my late grandmother’s ring. I contacted Lance James and went in for a chat, they were brilliant, the amount of time and care spent was second to none. I picked up the engagement ring this week and it’s absolutely stunning….. hopefully she’s going to say yes!
