We went to the park as a day out for my girlfriends birthday. We both had a lovely time and spent nearly 7 hours there! It's a wonderful place with plenty of animals to view and lots of other attractions. We spent our time watching the animals, listening to various talks, having a picnic and playing crazy golf. There is loads to do for the whole day and neither of us felt bored or like we had had enough. I would happily return in the future for another awesome trip. :-)

We came here to have Afternoon Tea with the Tigers, which was brilliant. Our guide was informative and knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning more about the big cats.

The zoo itself is really nice and not too big. We've been to the WHF in Smarden which we loved and Paradise is quite similar. Plenty of animals to see and the talks from the keepers are really good. A really nice day out!

I went to a seminar at this park and was very surprised to see how professionally the park was managed. All the staff were helpful and were happy to spend time explaining and answering your questions.
Lots of kids having a good time and will go again to spend more time.

Visited for the first time back in May and thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you are a big cat fan then you will love this zoo as there are plenty of cats to see here and you can get very close to them!

All keepers were friendly and approachable.
Lots of enrichment for the animals which was great to see.

The bird display was fantastic and i would recommend it to future visitors.
The lorikeet walkthrough was great although very small and loud - with birds screeching - but worth the £1 (for a pot of nector to feed the birds) for the interaction.

Lots to do for families as we seen lots of rides and play areas.

You can purchase a bag of animal food to feed to animals such as alpaca and zebras.

Overall i absolutely loved my visit here and only wish i didn't live so far away so that i could visit again.

Wonderful place, lovely views of animals and great photo opportunities. Coffee in Tiger tree tops amazing as have a drink and watch magnificent tigers. Park is set out beautifully, not interested in children's attractions before animal bit but they look good for families. Always enjoy Paradise best opportunity to see animals in lovely setting.

This as to be one of the best zoo's for seeing the Lions and Tigers. Looked well looked after.
We only went as a couple so I would say you could do it in approx. 3 hours. We went on a red letter day so arrived at 10am and afternoon tea was 2.30m. Afternoon tea was a drink and biscuits to start and then a tour of the park and the zoo keeper telling you all about the Lions/Tigers. Afternoon tea was in the tree house café with plenty on sandwich's ( not finger sandwich's like you would think for afternoon tea) and 2 sorts of cakes and of course scones with cream and jam, Tea/coffee, all 3 sorts of juices. Finished approx. 4pm We have a ready lovely day and something different.

I've only recently started consistently leaving TripAdvisor reviews and when I saw Paradise on here I was reminded of my trip several years ago. It was a few years ago now (it will only let me put my visit as far back as Aug '14) but I have not forgotten it as I thoroughly enjoyed it and have wanted to return ever since (which I would have done if I didn't live at the other end of the country!) The main thing I remember about the park is the huge selection of big cats, and how close you seem to be able to get to them. It's quite a small collection but big enough to spend a good part of the day wandering round and of course there are other animals to see too. When we visited it was near Christmas time and they put on a carol concert inside a marquee within the zoo which was lovely! They even brought in some small animals into the tent to pet! (Wallaby etc).
We were lucky to visit when a couple were on a cheetah experience day so got to watch them hand feed them.
It's not a big fancy mainstream polished 'city zoo', just a nice modest collection in a secluded area with friendly staff. WILL visit again- we are visiting its sister park Wildlife Heritage Foundation later this year, can't wait!

Arrived early to enjoy a full day at the park as we had pre booked 'Feeding the big cats' experience! What a day, started off as a general look to see where all animals were located but ny husband was mostly interested in the big cats! I found I could feed the farmyard animals, rather funny with the goats even trying to get the paper bag the food was in, food brought at £1 per bag but even tge bigger kids enjoyed it!! Then onto the lions, just standing & watching, beautiful. We could also see white tigers, jaguars, siberian tigers as well as cheetahs being trained for when the vet visits etc. Other animals included red pandas, otters, penguins, meerkats & Bird show.
I have to say that feeding the whit lions was an amazing experience, the young lady who took us for this was very knowledgeable, pleasant & polite...a credit to the parks team :) We were able to take photos, ask questions & generally stand in awe of these creatures!
At 5pm we were lucky enough to be in the cafe at the tigers feeding time, what a treat. Perfect end to the day.

Paradise wildlife park is a fantastic day out for the whole family! I would highly recommend it!

There are loads of activities and entertainment for children and all of the play areas are fantastic.

Compared to the other zoos paradise has a lot more for children to do and will keep them occupied all day!

Had a wonderful time from start to finish, best of all were the big cats, white tigers normal tigers white lions snow leopard ocelot cheaters leopards, plus monkies reptiles farm yard animals, camels zebra and lots lots more. £17 entry fee is pretty good, plenty of drink vending machines dotted about the park. Plenty to see and do from very young to old alike. Restaurants reasonable priced and food very good. Plenty of photo opportunities too. A must see and do for a great day out.

I took my two son's and they had a lovely fun time.
The actual animal part was smaller than I imagined but was nice, and the dino trail is just posters.
They have a lovely play area. They have little shows and competitions going on in the picnic area and free turn on the bouncy castle.
We will definately visit again

Been here lots of times with the children they love it . It's not to big so the kids aren't always moaning about the walking . There a cafe there but can be pricy and the entry fee can be expensive but if you go on line there are plenty of deals for a discount on the entry fees . My little ones loved feeding the reindeer but you can only feed them at certain parts of the year . It's great day out for all the family and you'll all have fun .

I was lucky enough to be given a "shadow a zoo keeper " experience and so me and my old man arrived at Paradise Wildlife Park at 8.30 am unsure of what the day would involve. We were met with hot chocolate and biscuits and our complementary T- shirts and went to help clean the Llamas pen. Amy and James were incredibly knowledgable about all the animals they look after , Camel , Raindeer and Llama .we swept and hosed the pen down ready for the public to arrive at 9.30. You get two breaks in the day ( an hour for lunch ) the burger was delicious and the meal is included in the price of the experience . There is a bar too ! Next we were off to the Reptiles with Yianna and Glen and again the knowledge and expertise shone through. I have always been scared of Spiders and asked if I could hold one. A huge hairy Tranantula was gently placed in my hand and my fear vanished. Tom took over and showed us the Birds where we were able to put on a glove and have an Eagle Owl fly to us and receive a half a mouse in reward. Break for lovely lunch . Connor met us next to see and feed the small mammals we fed Red Pandas ( they look a it like a cross between a fox and a large cat ) Limas ,Agooti ,friendly trained Rats ,Otters and all this while standing in the animals enclosure my to the envy of the other members of the public visiting ! Johnny took us to see the Primates and answered all our questions even the daft ones and even took us round the back so we could spot a baby Gibbon who was hiding .As if this wasn't enough we finished off with "tick a Tapir " something to definatly tell the Grandkids . All the members of staff we met were so very friendly, intelligent , passionate about the place and most of all the animals. We finished our day at 4.30 and stayed to watch the white Tiger being fed. The park closed at 6 pm and we were sad to leave . If I have missed anyone out I'm sorry YOU WERE ALL AMAZING thank you so much for a truly remarkable experience . I would recommend it to anyone.

For the money it's great free parking great animals to see and you need 4 hours max to see everything and have a bite to eat...our little one loved it.and you are very close to the animals so you can get some great pics.

I must admit it's really 3* for me, but I've gone for 4 in recognition of the fact that it's not really aimed at someone like me (a single adult). It's very much somewhere to take young kids to. I myself went because a Groupon caught my eye. It only really offered a few pounds off, but I thought it was an opportunity to get out of London and see a different area. There are a few good animals like the white lions, white tigers and red pandas, but it's quite a small zoo with not many animals really and quite a few of them seemed to be hiding anyway. An hour was enough for me. I must admit there are quite a few talks and feeds, which I didn't bother with and can't, therefore, comment on. I found the food to be rather rubbish. I'm surprised other reviewers have said it's good. Maybe I just didn't know where to go. Looking online, the Tiger Treetops Café caught my attention, but when I went to check it out, I found virtually nothing available, certainly no hot food anyway. I landed up having a rather sad hot dog, which had to last me the day in the end. There're a lot of picnic tables about though, so bringing your food does seem a better option. Tickets are only a few pounds cheaper than London Zoo, which seems ridiculous to me, and there're lots of things you have to pay extra for. There is a minibus that runs to and from the station every half hour for £3 return. If you don't have a car, this is really the only transport there is. I asked at information about walking in the woods nearby, but they didn't seem to know anything about it and even advised me not to try as walking along the road to get there was dangerous. It seemed like quite a strange "information point". In the end, I just worked it out myself and had a very nice afternoon in both Broxbourne and Wormley Wood. If you want to do it, there're closer car parks you can move your car to or it's just a short walk up the road before you can get onto a path. I'm conscious of my rather negative review. I myself didn't think the place was anything special, but if you have young kids, there are plenty of play areas (more than animals) for them to enjoy, but for me, the woods were much more interesting.

I have been taking my kids to PWP for years. The oldest is now well into his teens and I have lovely pictures of him when he was 3 or 4 enjoying himself there. The place has changed over years and grown and is now a real full day out for the whole family. The animals are beautiful and you can get really close to them. The petting area is always a winner and the rest of the facilities grey fun. It's an excellent day out and with younger kids somewhere I will be visiting for many years to come.

I don't like Zoo's and PWP has not changed my mind. That aside the Grandkids had a great day and perhaps seeing the animals up close will help them form their own opinions, hence the rating. The park was well laid out and supervised so you felt they could run around safely. Several play areas with bouncy castles and slides.You had to pay £1 for the train and racing cars, why not include tokens for these in the price. The splash area was clean and gave the children the chance to cool down on a hot day. Can't comment on the food as from past experience we now take our own. There was plenty of picnic areas. Despite several well managed school parties the site was not crowded and we could take our time. If your children want to see a cross section of animals up close and enjoy the extra onsite amusements this is worth a visit. Plenty of free parking.

I have visited many Wildlife parks, Zoo's in the UK but none as frequently as Paradise, I have probably been 6 times now in the last 3 years.

I am a very keen photographer so love the tree top walks around the top.

There are regular offers available and a wide variety of animals and a huge play area near the entrance, easily plenty to do for an entire day.

I highly recommend a visit or 6... Enjoy

What a fantastic experience Jonny was really knowledgeable. My 9 year old throughly enjoyed her morning. We enjoyed it so much we are already choosing our next experience. Thank you for an truly memorable time ❤️

Plenty to do as well as seeing the animals. They also have bouncy castles/slides, helter skelter, indoor soft play, play park and large paddling pool. Plenty of picnic benches. As it was a hot day the animals didn't move around much and some were so hidden couldn't see them at all. Lots of talks about the animals. I think it is quite expensive to buy tickets on the day but often cheaper on groupon/Amazon or exchange your tesco vouchers. Was worried it would be chock-a-block as a hot Saturday, and even though car parks looked full, it wasn't too busy inside. A fun day for younger kids only as can't imagine teenagers enjoying it as nothing extra for them.

Recently had a trip back to Broxbourne, now living in Suffolk,one of my favourite places was always PWP so had a day there with friends its even better now loved it,so interesting listening to the keepers talks, so caring & dedicated, so much to see& well kept, had lovely lunch up near the tigers & lovely lady called Karen was full of information about the history of the park, so thank you for the loveliest of days thoroughly recommend x

Take swimming gear as there's a lagoon.
You can spend a good few hours here, lots to see and do.
