An absolutely amazing, beautiful, tranquil and of course, very poignant place! I thoroughly recommend a visit.

We'd of course heard of the memorial park being mentioned in the media on many occasions and being in the area for the weekend, thought we'd take the opportunity to call in. It requires a pre-booking time-slot for the car-park and a £4 charge but entry is free and once in you can stay for as long as you like. We arrived 3 hours after our time slot but it was not a problem.

Our visit was on a hot Saturday afternoon in early June. The car-park was full but the centre and park was not in any way crowded. Plenty of space to move around both indoors and out and many areas where you can sit quietly without a sole around.

The memorials themselves and the centre-piece, the memorial wall/s, obelisk and statues are a sight to behold! The rows and rows of names of people lost during the various wars and conflicts over the years, is just breathtaking.

We didn't speak to assistants around but am told that they are very friendly and informative, providing further detail and background information to the visuals.

There is a gift shop and toilets etc but the queue to the coffee-shop / ice creams, was somewhat slow and so we declined. I believe that there is normally an inside restaurant available as well.

Overall, a very, very pleasant experience. DEFINITELY worth visiting.

What a beautiful, thought provoking place to visit. Lovely and peaceful and so much thought and care put into the memorials. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, particularly with my dad who struggles with his walking. Everywhere was so well kept and immaculate and a fitting tribute.

I would highly recommended the National Memorial Arboretum to visit and pay your respects. It is a beautiful location and so respectful. Right from our arrival in the car park, which was scheduled due to Covid guidelines, the attendants there were so friendly and polite, and I can say the same about every single member of staff encountered throughout our visit.

We visited both the restaurant and the coffee bar and all food and drink was nice. There is also a shop and toilet facilities.

The location is absolutely full of memorials. We visited on a very sunny day and it was very peaceful to walk down 'The Beat' with memorials and trees planted by police forces in the UK. It is such a serene place, with clearly marked pathways and benches to sit and reflect.

The Shot at Dawn memorial is quite harrowing to see when you think about the representation shown there and the story behind this, which is told in interpretation in a nearby shelter. It is important to know this vital history however so the same mistakes are not made again.

Overall, I could not fault anything about our visit. The car park currently costs £4 per vehicle to park and to get in is free, however, donations are recommended and welcomed, of which I believe is necessary because when you see how immaculate the entire place is, it very much relies on donations and is an important part of our history. There is so much hard work that goes into its upkeep. We saw statues being treated and polished while we were there and the landscaping of the grounds is so wonderful and neat.

We will definitely be visiting again. I visited with my mum. We spent around 4 hours in total there but still didn't get round to see everything due to taking time to reflect.

Beautifully arranged memorial in lovely, peaceful grounds with plenty of space for private reflection. Grounds very well kept and welcoming everyone of any age. A fitting tribute to those who have given their lives in any service.

A sombre place remembering the fallen current serving members of the armed forces and other areas of public service. The vast site is somewhere where people weather they are in service to the public or not are made to feel welcome and there is more than enough to do weather or not that is just looking around, paying respect or learning about history of our nation in adverse times. The only down side to my visit was the fact that parents where letting their children use the memorials as a playground in some circumstances, running aroun and chasing each other with no effort from the parents to stop them.

As you walk round these well kept ground, It's obvious that a great deal of time has been taken to put this place together, and so it should when it commemorates the sacrifice some very courageous people made to protect our freedom and our right to live. Well worth a visit

Really beautiful place with lovely views. Everything is outdoors at the moment so I would avoid this when it is raining. It is informative with lots of boards explaining what each individual memorial of about and what that group of people did during the conflicts of the past.

Absolutely fantastic place. Memorials to just about everything you could imagine. Very peaceful place, has a really emotional and powerful feel to it.

Accessible to all, can spend an hour or six! Huge place with a thousand things to learn about.

Might be better for older kids, especially those interested in history, but is welcoming to all.

Free in but relies on parking fee (£4) and donations to stay in business.
