I find this a very beautiful and very poignant place to visit. Large grounds, reasonable facilities and very moving memorials- not just the main central structure

I come from a military background my father was a RSM in the Medical core, so this place was a must for me. I couldn't actually believe how stunningly beautiful this place is. Great place for walk for reflection. Well looked after and maintained. Very helpful guide passed on good information during visit without being unnecessarily intrusive. Shop and eating areas closed at present and car park should be booked in advance. Well worth visit.

A beautiful commemoration for many regiments and divisions swept into conflict in the Great War and beyond. There are even commemorations for servicemen and women who have been killed abroad or died as a result of their service post 1945, meaning that this arboretum doesn't just cover the Great War and the Second World War, but any subsequent conflicts.

I visited the Parachute Regt. memorial on behalf of my great grandfather George Morrison; the 139 Sqn plaque in memory of my grandfather's cousin; the Gallipoli memorial in memory of my 6 relatives, who served in the 7th Bn. Gloucestershire Regt., and saw action in Gallipoli in 1915 and of course the Royal Engineers memorial in memory of one of my men. There are many memorials here, and they have been constructed or preserved so beautifully and I am so very glad that I came here.

It was very impressive and we'll be back. It was extremely cold and covid restrictions meant indoor exhibits weren't available but very helpful volunteers and lively coffee and cake!
