It’s always a emotional visit looking at the numerous memorials that increase in number every time I visit. It’s easy to walk around and navigate. It’s free but pay for parking which is expected as it’s free to visit. Nice restaurant and enjoyed the food. Well worth the visit

This is an impressive and most moving and beautiful place to visit The grounds with the huge variety of trees and woodland areas invite the guests to explore and relax with friends and family while informing everyone of history and sacrifice yet in a joyful manner at all times of year.

First time visit to the Arboretum, but will need more than one. Trigger warning, though: it will stir up your emotions!
We went on a wet day in early April 2023, but it was still good. All the staff work hard to make your visit the best it can be.
There are so many things to see and to contemplate. Nearly every tree, even, has a plaque dedicated to a member of the armed forces.

We will definitely be having at least one more visit.

Went to visit the Far east prisoner of war memorial, also to pay my respects to my cousin and his comrade who both died in a air crash at RAF EL Adem 60 years ago on the 13th April 1963. The staff were very helpful in answering questions and pointing us in the right direction especially a gentleman called Jim Brown who was very friendly and helpful, definitely recommend to family and friends also we will be returning to visit in the future.

Wonderful place to remember the fallen. The sheer number of names on the walls is a reminder of how many young men did not get the chance to reach old age. The Shot at Dawn memorial is a reminder of how many young men were executed on the orders of Generals in the rear

Fantastic place to visit and pay your respects to the fallen and your thanks to those that have served and are serving. Huge park beautifully laid out with some lovely memorials. Too big to do in a day. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

As we wandered round, the sense of peace was wonderful despite the high wind and dark clouds.

Restrooms: Clean and well lit.

Dog-friendliness: No dog prohibition

Picnic area: Didn't use it, too cold
