The National Memorial Arboretum is a place of national remembrance at Alrewas, near Lichfield, Staffordshire. Its objective is to honour the fallen, recognise service and sacrifice, and foster pride in the British Armed Forces and civilian community.
The memorials to all areas of the armed forces is a must see.
Lest we Forget. ❤️🌹

We took our grandchildren and we were there from 10am till 4pm
There was such a lot for the grandchildren to do there were two play areas for them to explore, toilet facilities were spotless
They want to go again in the near future
It's a truly beautiful place to go to and learn and remember everyone that has passed

We had a lovely time looking at the various memorial gardens. We could quite happily have spent a good half a day there but unfortunately we just had a quick pit stop whilst travelling home down South.

We did have a hot chocolate and cake in the restaurant which was really good. I'd recommend a visit.

Went with friends and family children 8 & 11 they loved looking for the flowers on the trail excellent way to get them motivated to explore the whole site joined in the music workshop such a good idea as being able to play musical instruments is a luxury these days and they loved crafting their spring pictures and planting their seeds to bring home
Every time we visit there is always something new to find and do such good value for money and history to learn

I have no place to remember my parents, both of whom served in the RAF . It was wonderful to walk around the memorials relating to places where they served and where I grew up.

This is a magical place, full of symbolism and serious remembrance. On my first visit some years ago I was 'dragged kicking and screaming' to a place I did not want to go, four hours later I did not want to leave. There are so many nice people there making the experience of the visit something to be repeated often. With so much to take in it would be wrong to highlight one small part of the Arboretum, there is so much to see. I look forward to my next visit with great enthusiasm. This is a national treasure.

An amazing venue with some very thoughtful memorials. Suitable for the whole family with a stickman trail for children and an onsite restaurant. I was really disappointed that the only way to find the location of a specific memorial was using a screen in the main building to look them up - paper maps cost £2 ("suggested donation" but when you ask for one you are charged) but the map itself only has 15 out of the 400 memorials listed! There must surely be a better way. In this day and age of modern technology, an online map, app or something isn't too much to ask.

Definitely worth a visit. It's an amazing place and a timeless reminder of the sacrifice of so many people. Cafe/restaurant, facilities, shop and parking very good. There is a rather nice function room too we went to for an event which we had no Idea existed - very impressed.
