It is a magnificent tribute to all those who have died in the service of our country. The restaurant has a good selection of food and drinks. Free to enter but £6:00 for parking.

We recently visited and had a lovely walk around the vast site. Some great sculptures &
Memorials in a lovely grounds. You can walk around for hours.
It was nice that they allow dogs in the grounds and the restaurant.
The restaurant was quite busy but the choice of food was great, especially the cakes.
There is a separate cafe across the courtyard that serves decent coffee (compared to the machines in the restaurant) so I nipped over there to get some coffees to go with the cake.
A tasteful memorial area.

Attended the Royal Signals memorial service. The NMA is a superbly clean, serene, well-organised place to visit. Lovely for personal thought and reflection. Definitely a credit to the nation and its' remembrance of the nation's (and other nations) fallen defenders.
Whether for personal or historical curious reasons, this a a super place to visit.

A place to reflect and remember. Each memorial is as striking as the next, however the Shot At Dawn area brings it all home, individual names, Regiments and Corps. Young men who lost their lives to something not understood at the time.
It's a place that has to be visited at least twice to take it all in.

A very impressive site, quite amazing how much is there a very well laid out. Thing's for all ages to see, for the children there are a couple play areas, plus amazing icecream and cakes available from the restaurant or coffee shop. The whole site is disabled friendly, the ground's have level paths though out and gentle slopping grassy area's, the main centre piece has a number of steps or ramped road around it.
There is also a road train available for a tour of the site (which I'd recommend).
There's also a gift shop on site.
Though out the whole site there are a huge number of benches and picnic tables and chairs.
The site is dog friendly as long they are kept on a lead and they have a number of drinks points.
There's a modern restaurant and coffee shop, selling a large range of snacks, meals, drinks, cakes etc at good prices I must say.
The toilets are in the main building complex again very modern and clean which include disabled toilets and baby changing facilities.
Also available for people are a number of electric mobility scooters.
Last but not least. I must say the staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and are alway's there to help.
A place that needs to be visited a number of times.

We paid for the private tour. Our guide Reece was a fountain of knowledge both about the arboretum and subjects related to it.
The arboretum is HUGE! I am soooo glad we did the tour. We had already chosen some of the memorials we wanted to see, but Reece also pointed out things we may have missed, like the Organ Donor butterfly memorial.
There were some games to play which connected to the commonwealth games.
These included archery and volleyball. Great to stretch the legs!
Lunch was included in our tour and it was smashing. Service and attention from the catering staff was great. We even got a tablecloth!
Reece explained all of the symbolism and meaning behind some of the memorials: namely the ‘’Shot at Dawn’’ memorial. He explained who the figure was based on and the reason for this young man being shot. He even pointed out the 6 conifers - which represent the firing squad.
He had the ability to speak to my 10 year old in teacher like way, asking questions, asking his opinions and getting him to try things like holding the hand of the ‘’A hand at Peace’’.
There is no way you would see the whole arboretum in a day! Even on the tour! Lots of memorials for things other than war!!
Greta place, amazingly knowledgeable and friendly staff.
