Been a number of times over the past 10 yrs. Always something new added each time. Covers a vast area to much to take in in one visit.
Disabled persons welcome.

The Arboretum is one of the most serene places we have ever been to. It is also awe inspiring. The people who work there really want to be there.

I didn't realise that all the names on the war memorial were for service personnel who have died since 1945 There are lots of other memorials throughout the park. You can easily spend a whole day here well recommended also recommend the talking guides. Didn't think we needed one, but they give in-depth knowledge, with true facts about the personnel behind the memorial. Well worth a visit and I will certainly be going back for many more visits.

Moving memorial for our armed serices and also notable public services too. Thoughtfully laid out in wooded grounds. There's a modern visitor centre with a sizable café and outdoor seating. For those with mobility difficulties there is a road train as well as walking guided tours. But most people tend to go for a self guided walk using the site map (only £2 donation). All good 😎 👍 👍 👍

Stunning location and fitting tribute to those who have fallen in our service. Great that it is not just the military but explosive workers..bus drivers etc. Not so clear on latest bits where anyone with money can now have memorial to anyone. Valid but does it devalue those who gave there lives to service in this country?

This is such a beautiful and emotional place. Huge area to explore and guides very helpful and friendly. We went with our two dogs and they were warmly welcomed too. Facilities are excellent. Lots of information available. Would recommend the road train to give an overview and then focus on a few memorials of particular or personal interest otherwise you would need several days to explore the whole site.
The main memorial is exceptionally moving. Tissues needed.

Went to a RBL event. The facilities are excellent. The actual arboretum is fantastic and filled with poignant memorials, very moving. To really get into the details would take at least a couple of days.

I attend the Arboretum every May in the company of shipmates from HMS Argonaut. We gather to remember our two shipmates still on patrol in the Falkland Islands, and all those lost on other ships of the same name. After our service I usually find time to wander around the other memorials, especially the far east one as a family member was captured at Singapore. A tranquil and sobering place which should be used as part of the national curriculum.

You can hire scooters in advance but they sell out quickly
You can book guided walking buggy rides and a train in advance on line
There is a center you can look up people and facts very helpful and interesting
