Amazing place, very peaceful. Plenty to see and lovely walks around. Need a full day at least as we were only there for a few hours and missed a lot. Will definitely be back.

We were short of time as we were in the area visiting relatives so we simply took the land train which takes you around the whole arboretum from the memorial to the various rescue services, through memorials to those from other nations who sacrificed their lives in the defence of our nations here in Great Britain and those who were 'shot at dawn' for desertion in the Great War before we understood PST.
Everything is presented beautifully and respectfully in a gorgeous setting.
We will definitely go back especially to look more closely at this wonderful exhibition, probably in a different season when the trees and flowers are in full bloom.
If you have someone you wish to remember you can do so in a quiet garden or by arranging a memorial plaque/tag on a tree. There is no entry fee - although donations are encouraged. There is a charge for the land train but this is a good option if you either don't have much time - it takes about 50 minutes - or you are are not able to walk very far - the area covered is vast. There is a coffee shop, good 'comfort' facilities and of course a gift shop. There is alot of parking.
The whole thing is beautifully managed and maintained by knowledgeable friendly staff.
We will definitely return.
A short time meant we didn't get to take any photos but there are plenty of opportunities. Please visit - a perfect setting to remember those who given everything to keep others safe and free.

Had a lovely day here, staff were amazingly helpful as always however the one thing let everyone member of staff down was the catering.
Not the staff or the facilities but the food. I know it was after 2 when we got there, however choice of sandwiches were limited & the ones we got the bread was extremely tasteless, hard & dry, cheese was thin & tasteless and the two small extremely thin slivers of tomato added nothing to its appeal.
Visited a few years ago and what we had then was so far above the standard on what we received yesterday csn only think its under different management.

Will not be put off going to this wonderful amazing place, in fact everyone at sometime should go regardless of age, best advice take a your own little picnic.

Definitely worth a visit so humbling. So many memorials to see you will need a whole day to walk around the whole site it's very large. Cafe is nice, toilets are clean and plenty of things to buy at the shop if you want a memento.

Wonderful but sobering place.
Remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can live freely in our society today. May they rest in peace and rise up in glory.
