As a party of 7 we very much enjoyed lunch on Saturday 11th March.
Sudbury is very fortunate to have a very different and individual venue and the food prepared by David was excellent.
Very welcoming too. David and his team are extremely pleasant and the feeling of warmth was much in evidence.
While my daughter who lives in Sudbury has enjoyed visits before there was the first time my wider family have been and we will definitely return.

Knowing how booked up they get for Robbie Music Nights, my husband & I made our table reservation for 4 people early last month for the event held last night (March 3rd). We also invited two family members from Ipswich, who appreciate good food & music, to experience the fantastic evening’s entertainment.
As we live locally, we often pop into David’s for a quick coffee and cake or lunch in this, the friendliest business in town, where we are always met with smiles & wonderful food & excellent service by all staff. At a time when small businesses are finding it difficult to make a profit, we should all try to support them in anyway possible. This particular small family business succeeds because of the most excellent meals, prepared & cooked by David and his small staff; the friendliest of welcomes & attention to details (especially to Music Nights & other Special Events) by his lovely wife, Trish; the efficient Bar Staff & Waitresses, who all work their socks off to ensure the smooth running of the business. We also appreciate that the special night events take an enormous amount of time & energy to organise and as we have found, they get booked up so quickly and if we don’t book early enough you risk being placed on a lengthy waiting list!! Unfortunately, we believe some people have recently taken to making reservations for Music Nights & then either turning up very late (maybe just to sit, listen to the music & have a couple of drinks before leaving without eating). When making reservations, it is always made clear that the price INCLUDES food. When people then abuse this booking system, it disrupts the whole organisation in the kitchen & makes for delays in eating for all other customers. This is totally unacceptable & will result in everyone having to pay a substantial deposit when making reservations and we feel so sorry for this lovely family business. Finally, we all thoroughly enjoyed the music, food, ambience of the Wine Bar and will continue to support them as much as we can. Highly recommended ++++++++++++

Lovely quaint cafe! My friend wanted to go and had to drag me away from my usual favourite. I was smitten with the place immediately. Old fashioned charm and very good food, drink and service at really reasonable prices. An added bonus is there are no children allowed so expect quiet, peaceful conversation! Highly recommended!

What a wonderful place. We moved to the area a year and a bit ago and have been here reasonably regularly since. The atmosphere is wonderful - Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The food is lovely too. Probably my favorite place in Suffolk!

The best coffee and food in Sudbury ,very friendly service all food fresh or freshly cooked.
Good and reasonable prices, if available the sausage rolls are the best ,hot and just cooked.
We do not go anywhere else ,a regular stopping point

Lovely ambience, warm croissants and delicious cake.
A cappuccino and an Americano made a very pleasant break.

Visited twice recently…very welcoming and nicely laid out and furnished. Excellent sandwiches, panini and coffee. Couldn’t have been better! Limited choice as David away for a no doubt well-earned break, but all nicely prepared and presented. Will be back soon…

Second time popping in here for coffee , Asked for Cheese scone and coffee x 2.
Scone clearly heated in microwave as lump of stodge and didn't taste Fresh.Covered in margarine and not asked if this was our preference , total waste of money as could not eat it all as too stodgy !! Please ask your customers how they like a Scone . Customer service also very poor , wont come back such a shame.

We had a beautiful meal, staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend...the desert was lovely as well, well done everyone 😀

On returning back to Sudbury to meet with a friend for lunch we went to David’s for lunch. The warmth and level of service was outstanding and this was equalled with an interesting lunch menu. I selected the Avocado, egg and smoked salmon crepe, which was of a high quality in terms of the food and presentation. The two members of staff throughout my visit were both friendly and attentive. David’s offers an excellent meeting place and high quality food, thank you

What more can I say? This place is a real find. Excellent food and wine and coffee. No pressure and relaxed atmosphere. David and Trish run a tight ship with charm and elan.

The coffee, food, and customer service are always wonderful. We continue to return because the location is just far enough away from the market square to make it relaxed and enjoyable.

I popped into David’s for a quick bite to eat and had the most delicious BLT I’ve ever had. Really generous amount of ingredients and lovely bacon.

Very good, food and service great..

We have recently moved to Sudbury and are still finding our way around. Went to the market today and stopped off at Davids for an early lunch/brunch We had the eggs benedict and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs both of which were delicious and the coffee was great. We will definitely be back as we want to try some of the cakes on display!

Love the food at David’s. Always use all the best ingredients wonderfully put together. Thank you very much x. See u guys again soon
