A friend and I dropped in for an impromptu dinner
Ate the bar, one of the best steaks and cheese boards for a long time.
Can’t wait for the next music night

Ideal town centre place for mid shopping light lunch or meeting up with friends. The toasted tea cakes are a particular favourite.

Me and my dad came across this passing by and we hadn't been there before so we wanted to try out something new. We went for a spot of breakfast as we just had a quick stop off. We both decided on the bacon sub with a coffee. This was such value for money, and still such good quality food, all locally sourced. The staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate our needs. I would definitely come back here again to try their full English breakfast instead another time. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants good food, a peaceful atmosphere and good value for money.

Our book group met for lunch ,excellent food ,service and ambience.
This is an adult only establishment ,no children under 14 .
They also make cakes to takeaway and have a small deli
One of my favourite places

Popped in after visiting nearby business as never been in before even though we are locals. Lovely; clean cafe with what are clearly ‘regular’ customers enjoying lunch and a personal service 💕
I had tea and a date flapjack. It was delicious and I would definitely partake of this again. My husband enjoyed a coffee and almond croissant I was surprised to discover children under 13 are not welcome which explained the clientele. I’m not sure this is a unique selling point for me but it doesn’t put me off either, I just wouldn’t visit when treating my grandchildren. It must be highly embarrassing if you visit and are asked to leave though as I’m not sure you would know this otherwise
A lovely distraction from shopping and intend to visit one evening to enjoy dinner. David’s is only open on a Friday and Saturday for dinner..... watch this space

We visited David’s for morning coffee with croissant on our arrival in Sudbury. Excellent, friendly service, good coffee and tasty, warm croissant. We then went for a 3.5 mile walk in the country park and were ready for lunch. Back to David’s for smoked salmon sandwich served on lovely fresh, seeded bread and tea. Quick friendly service and tasty food. Recommended highly.

Just dropped in on a visit to Sudbury. Excellent food. Beef & Pork burger excellent. By the time we had fruit juice coffee and custard tart a great visit for about £25.

My wife and I moved to Pentlow a couple of years ago and constantly look for new places for a night out. We heard the local musician Robbie Gladwell was playing at David’s last week so went along to give it a try.
What a fantastic welcome! Great people, great food, great vibe and just a special place to visit.David’s will be seeing an awful lot more of me and Denise!! 😁

Had one of the best steaks I can remember, fabulous value and very good experience.
Have often seen the food go by and thought it looked great, but actually was better than that! I only saw a burger with another diner, but that looked terrific as well, can't wait to return and try it.

Walked past early morning and this cafe/deli/bar caught our attention. Looks cosy we thought and made sure we went back when it was lunchtime.
We were not disappointed. Great friendly service. Good quality food at reasonable prices and freshly cooked. This is a venue that is for adults only - being grandparents ourselves sometimes you just need that time to relax and unwind. They can also cater for gluten free if you ask. Newspapers and books are also provided.
This is a place we will come back to next time we visit Sudbury.

Was invited here by my sister who is a local and I was very impressed. A small place with great ambience and friendly owners who made us very welcome. The food was excellent and I can honestly say the steak was one of the best I’ve ever eaten!

All the usual in a Weatherspoons - great range of drinks at fantastic prices and good, basic food at good prices. Decent décor and just enough staff.

Recommended to us by a local as a suitable place for a light lunch we found this venue to be busy but not crowded. We sat in a bright airy and peaceful interior with very comfy chairs and lots of space between the tables. Service was very pleasant and efficient and we had a short but acceptable wait for our meal which was clearly freshly prepared with excellent produce and then followed it with a real Italian coffee. Describing itself as being "child free" this is clearly not somewhere for families but with plenty of interesting books lining the walls waiting to be read a place where you can choose to either to eat and depart or to linger longer when time allows. Will definitely call again when next in Sudbury.

Had lunch at this charming bistro this afternoon after a meeting in Gainsborough house. As the sun was shining I opted for an Italian salad as a light lunch. It was beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of balsamic vinegar, I nearly opted for a chilled glass of Chablis but having a car I chose an ice cold elderflower drink. I highly recommend this place, I hidden gem in the town of Sudbury
