We realise that our appointments were on a Friday afternoon, but we found everyone at your Sudbury branch to be cheery and helpful and they were obviously a very happy team together. Your optician, Joanne Williams was super - a wonderful personality and so helpful and knowledgeable. We were recommended to you by 'Paul' who worked for you fitting specs years ago and now lives and works in West Mersea where we used to work!

I attended for my annual eye test and was warmly received by the reception staff. Holly Rowlings carried out my eye assessment and I was delighted to learn that there was virtually no difference between this year and last. I have been having an ongoing series of injections in my left eye because of my Age-related Macular Degeneration and following a retinal scan, Holly took me through the results in detail and reassured me that the injections were working and that my right eye seemed pretty stable. I've had a large number of eye tests during my life but I have to say that this was one of the most thorough and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend Wardale Williams in general and Holly Rowlings in particular to friends.

After getting my eyes tested at Specsavers I didn't really like the frames on offer. So we decided on a whim to try Wardale Williams.
The staff couldn't be more helpful. A lovely lady called Kirsty helped me with the frames and lenses. Spending time to explain everything and to make sure the measurements were okay. There were two long distance frames I liked and her colleague helpfully told us the second would be half price which clinched it for me to buy both - plus a pair of reading glasses.
A couple of weeks later I went to collect the glasses and another lovely lady, Vicky, helped me to adjust the tightness, making sure they all worked fine and gave me some complimentary lense spray and said I could come back anytime to have them adjusted or for a lense spray refill.
The atmosphere in the shop was friendly, warm, with no pressure and I was most comfortable with every aspect of the place.
I would recommend for anyone who wants great service, a wonderful atmosphere, great products and staff that care about their jobs.

Wardale and Williams have always been efficient, professional and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and no pressure to purchase glasses. Vicky has been more than helpful and immensely patient with me helping on several occasions to make my glasses fit..she persevered and I am more than happy and appreciative of her help. I really can't thank Kirsty and the team at Wardale Williams for their help purchasing new varifocals recently. The optician was lovely; thorough, professional and friendly, and Kirsty was incredibly patient while I tried on dozens of frames attempting to find the 'perfect' pair - she even let me take frames home (probably because she feared I'd never leave the shop!!!) I eventually chose a gorgeous frame she had ordered in for me after a Google search, and I adore my new glasses!! Wonderful customer service, highly recommend Xx

Great service from the Sudbury branch from initial eye exam through to picking up my new glasses. Welcoming staff and good selection of frames. Amanda was great at helping me choose some frames and Vickie was excellent fitting my glasses and advising me on adjusting to wearing varifocals. Highly recommended.

This is the best opticians by far , clean proffessional and very friendly, you don’t feel like you are on a conveyor belt like some of the “ high street” places , comfortable environment and you even get a cuppa 😆😆😆 I wouldn’t go anywhere else
