Free entry although you are asked to donate. Interesting exhibits but you need to like reading to get the most out of them. Quite a small museum really but great presentation with a cafe and lots of kids activities.

Fantastic Museum, so many things to see and read. Such a mixed range of subjects. My kids loved the fossils and discovering information about the area we live in. A great place to take your kids for an educational visit.

Good place to visit for a couple of hours. Took my granddaughter and she enjoyed it. She went downstairs and had a go at the puppet making ,which went down well.
Theres a small cafe on site which offer a range of good coffees and light meals all at a resonable price ,if the weather is good a nice place to sit outside.

The museum was recommended by a curator at Dunster Castle and did not disappointment me. The exhibits covered the pre-historic eras, through Roman times, the English Civil War and up to more recent history - all in relation to the local area. I spent an hour and a half at the museum but could have spent longer. There is a nice café there as well.

What a gem, super find. Really good for children, lots of things for them to do on each level. Free entry to main museum with a suggested donation (only able to do this as cash). Special exhibitions do cost a small price.

Ill be honest I only went in more to kill half an hour before meeting someone but was pleasantly surprised. Very well laid out, informative, well presented. Lots of displays but laid out so it doesn't feel crowded or like there is too much there. Essentially not far off being the perfect small regional museum. My only real complaint is that some of the lighting is a bit dark making it hard to read some of the labels (although I accept that could be related to the items in display)
