Been coming here since the 90’s. Initially for the famous indoor bbq and a pint before the match. It’s evolved over the years, now much smarter, but still with lots of character. Great to see good condition real ale back on the bar these days too. The weekday lunchtime platter is my fave, a big plate full of chicken cooked in different ways with sheesh kebab and chips or salad. The Balti’s are much improved these days too. Well worth a visit whatever the occasion. Still mega busy on match days. There’s even a car park these days!

Staying in the Park Inn just up the road. This is a godsend. High quality Pub/Indian combo. Not been asked for ages when i'd like to eat my main course. Class.

The food is first rate and the beer was in top condition.
We ate of the menu rather than the BBQ Buffet. The curry was as good as I have had, and the real ale was very well kept.
Good place to stop off for a beer or make an evening of it for a meal.

This place has so many different eating corners and food options I feel you could come here multiple times and feel like you were eating in multiple restaurants! The bar area, restaurant, barbecue area, outside seating both covered and in the fresh air. It's so big I feel it would be great for big families/party. However I feel the food is made for the masses therefore not exactly 5 star/well presented.

West Brom away for the past 3 seasons and it's not just about the football, it's mainly down to this wonderful gem of a place. Opposition fans sit together eating fantastic freshly cooked curry and nan's with a nice cold beer. The food is excellent and the staff are amazing, despite being packed you get served quickly and the food comes up piping hot within 10 minutes. Thank you to the fantastic staff!

Went here before a recent football match with a couple of friends. Home and away supporters mix quite happily which in itself is a rarity!
Didn’t expect the place to be quite so huge from the outside, looks like you’re going in to a pokey little pub but you’ll be surprised quite how vast it is!Pre-match grill was excellent, good value for money and the food was amazing.
Enjoyed it so much we decided to come back after the game. Vibe was a little different, far less football fans and more people out for dinner. Full range of food was on sale and what was arriving from the kitchen looked good. We went back to the grill and again food was excellent. The free sauce that accompanies the food was especially good.
Salad was slightly worse in the evening, presumably as the turnover of grilled food isn’t so great but that was the only minor talking point.
Worth going if near the area!

I Was staying within a ten minute walk of The Vine on business and as it had good reviews I decided to give it a try.
I wasn't disappointed. Really good quality food and good value for money too. Nicely spiced with good heat to the Chicken Tikka Madras.
Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Will definately visit again if in the area.

We have used this place for over 20 years. Early evenings are nice and quiet. It gets very busy but you can reserve tables.

The Vine was unique experience many years ago, visiting a couple of weeks ago it certainly is not to my taste, far too 'preprepared'. The lunch time set menu is set in concrete without any deviation, our meals were on the table in about five minutes, all proving my preprepared theory.
I had methI chicken which was quite tasty but very dry, another sign of standing food. My friend does not eat chicken so wanted the kebabs, but we're actually meat AND chicken with no option of just lamb, another clue to food not cooked on the premises.Sorry, I have been eating and cooking Asian food for over sixty years and know good from not so good.

The Vine had been a favourite of ours for many years. We visit regularly and the food is always fantastic, the best chicken tikka we have ever had and the naan breads are to die for. It's family friendly and offers takeaway for when you're in a rush. If you haven't tried it I would highly recommend.

It was a 3 year gap since last I visited The Vine and there's a major uplift on the decor since last time. The food is however just as good as the last time and great value for money

Needed somewhere for a quick pub lunch and after a recommendation from one of the office lads we paid a visit to the Vine. For a weekday extremely busy but the number of staff behind the bar soon ensured everyone served (in order!!) - we ordered the lunchtime platter and sat down - no less than 5 mins later an amazing plate of food was placed in front of us - don't know about lunchtime...this fed me all day
Succulent meat, great spices and a wonderful lunch - I've worked in West Brom for nearly 10 years and this was my first visit, won't be my last
Well done all

o say this is a different eating place is an understatement.! From he outside a neat looking corner pub. From the minute you climb the three stone steps the smell of warm spices greets you There are different eating areas -snugs,large dining areas - the choice is yours. The food is a joy to behold. We sat in the BBQ room where we watched all manner of meats cooked over open heat.We selected chicken and lamb starters and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the dishes for the price paid. Clay pot chicken with Keema Nan bread was shared as a main course as the starters we so filling.Wonderful food, well served, very reasonably priced.

I tried the chefs special and it was amazing! Chicken was perfect and the good was out in minutes. The staff were lovely and so were the people around us. The garlic naan will definitely keep the vampires at bay. Overall a great place to eat!

I was really looking forward to having a curry in the vine before watching my team play at West Brom, having done the same two season ago. Sat down with some Baggies fans who had eaten and checked what the procedure was which was order at the bar and food brought to you. When I got to the bar I was told the only food that was being served was the barbecue due to difficulty getting food to tables on a matchday: as a non meat eater I ended up with chips and naan bread for my lunch. Nothing wrong with what we got (nice bread average chips and no ketchup in sight) but had really been looking forward to a proper curry like last time.
I later checked on the pub website to see if there was a mention of the menu not being served on matchday but could find no reference to this and on the way out at just gone 2 p.m noticed a plate that looked like non barbecue food had been served (I could have been wrong). I suggest the pub makes their policy on matchday menu clearer on the website, especially as there is an FAQ section that I had specifically checked the day before.
On the plus side atmosphere in the pub itself was good and home fans friendly, mixing well with visitors and it didn't take very long to get served for food or drink.
