The park was lovely and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the water section. However it all went wrong when we wanted to grab some quick lunch.

We went to order our food, but some of the items weren't available (jacket potato). Children's menu quite expensive (£2.50 for two fish fingers only). I decided to go with something else and we waited for our food. While waiting I saw other people with a jacket potato, so this annoyed me. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. We ordered the soup of the day, fish fingers and chips and an egg/mayo sandwich. Nothing was difficult here. When my husband challenged them they then informed us they have ran out of egg/mayo!!! Why not tell us at the point of order and why didn't anyone tell us while we were waiting so we could re-order something??? Our food finally came after an hour of waiting in total. The food wasn't presented nicely like we saw with other customers, who had a salad garnish. you could tell they rushed it in the end. and the reason for the delay? They were low on food and had to get some more, and who did they send?? The chef!!!! So for 30 mins they were taking orders and not telling anyone that there will be a delay as there isn't anyone to do the food. This was the first time eating here.... and our last. The rating is for the park only.

We dont live to far from the park itself but when we saw posters of a family fun weekend with free entry and the weather been so hot me and my partner and her friend just came to have a look and see what it was that was going on. Turns out it was just a giant fun fair for kids and teenagers so we come away. The scenery us beautiful though and even had an ice cream. We didnt go on the boats on the lake but looked so relaxing.
On a weekend morning it is nice to walk off a full english breakfast as it will burn of those calaries

Very nice park with swings etc for the young ones and open spaces to explore and play in. Parking can be a bit of a pain but don't let that deter you

A really lovely outdoor park with plenty for children and adults to do. There has been lots of refurbishments done and there is an information centre, lakes, parks, skateboard ramps and green spaces and benches for picnics. A clean, well maintained space with a great play area for young people and some nice streams and walks.

some money has been spent on the arboretum over last few years bringing it back up to a good standard for this type of facility. Home of a Saturday Park Run which is an excellent use of the venue for local people to help them stay healthy.

This is a wonderful place to walk, cycle, relax and drink in some wonderful views. Proud it's in my home town of Walsall. Where the lakes are is beautiful but don't forget the lido and further on the dog and cycle walk. Which from the Arboretum brings you out on the Sutton Rd right by the Longhorn pub!

We had a great day in the arboretum. It was very frosty, so looked beautiful. My grandson played on climbing equipment and swings. He loved being spun round on the roundabout. I had taken sweetcorn peas and porridge oats to feed the ducks and swans. We had fun looking at the different birds and talking about them . He shared the food with a little girl to feed birds. It was a happy learning morning in this beautiful park. We went to see the bandstand, that we've seen several bands on. It was lovely and clean. No rubbish about. It was great to see so many people wrapped up warm on this cold and frosty morning.

This is a wonderful Arboreetum 1/2 a mile from the town centre, it is marvellously maintained with a lot of love and care. There is a traditional Victorian park area with two pools one of which has pedalos for sale. Lots of water fowl, glorious gardens and a wonderful array of trees throughout. There is also a recently refurbished kiddies play area (dog-free) which is extremely popular as well as facilities for teens - basketball/five a side court, tennis courts, bowls green, football pitches and a 'circuit training' style area, There is grandstand used for varied musical offerings in the summer. Extensive areas for picnicking, walking and towards the rushall canal there are grassed, woodland and emerging woodlands. Its a great day out for the family and in addition various events are held throughout the year including fairs a circus and a number of local festivals.

Following the refurb, (part EU funded), this park is now back to it's former glory. It's now well planted, well kept, and the paths are clean and clear. The kids play area is much better. All in all a great asset to Walsall. Coffee shop is good too!

A lovely little part of Walsall but the centre was closed. As an escape from the busy high street this is worth a visit

Cycled around the park. Very pretty. Not unexpectedly, some very beautiful trees. I am told the weekend fun run around the park is very well organised.

Visited here with my wife Glenys and granddaughter Lucy on a lovely spring day. It is an excellent park that is well looked after and the residents of Walsall should be proud off it. Lovely walks and a whole cross section of society using it. My only reservation is the cafe. When we visited it for lunch quite a few items on the menu where not available. The service was to say the least, underwhelming. We sat outside making the most of the sunshine and our meals were bought to us without any cutlery. When we asked about the cutlery we where told that 'it was inside' Staff who serve with a modicum of enthusiasm would help. However iI didn't spoil our visit
and we will visit again. Lucy aged one and a bit agreed.
