We visited the arboretum after our wedding at the registry office for photos not expecting too much, but was very impressed by the lakeside views and surrounding area - our amateur photography looks beautiful!

It's been a long time since I have been to this park, but as I was in walsall again I went out for a run twice around the park. New cafe with outside seating area and the seedy toilets at the main entrance have been removed and replaced with some benches. New water features in the kids play area looked tremendous fun, but sadly, I'm to old to play in there now. Good open space as well.

Bike ride around the park was peaceful and fun!
Saw some ducks here and there, had the time of our lives.
Park runs (5k) held every saturday at 9am- very early and left exhausted!
Unfortunately the cafe was the main let down. Short staffed most of the times and a lack of food was actually offered out if the menu- left with a very hungry friend! Had to resort for food elsewhere.

Very enjoyable visit to the Arboretum today. The Classic Car show was well worth a visit with a large selection of Classics. The show had something for everyone with children's rides and the familiar smells of favourite foods & coffee stalls.

In nice weather this is a lovely day out. Lots of fields for football, frisby or any sport you choose. Outdoor obstacle area. Large park and water park. Has overflow parking. Can get busy especially in water play area in hot weather.

Walsall Arboretum has had a lot of money and time spent on its improvement since I lived in Walsall a few years ago. It's very tidy now and is great for families, couples and people just wanting an afternoon stroll by themselves.

Walsall arboretum has been improved over the last two or three years and is ideal for a day out with children and costs only the bus fare or petrol to get there. There is a large children's playground with a water p!ay area in the summer months, The visitor centre has good information and has a cafe which serves good coffee and snacks. There is plenty of space to walk or to sit and watch the world go by (or have a picnic). There are lakes with ducks and in the summer pedalos or fishing. All in all a good place to be for any age to relax.

Me and my fiancé went here for a date day and a picnic, lovely place full of wildlife and there are now peddle boats that you can go on. Would recommend it to a family with children and couples and even people with dogs because it's a massive place and there is a park for the kids to play they also have a tennis court and a basket ball court. Football pitch with goals and also a skate park. They also have the quarter features for the kids to play in when it's hot.
Highly recommended.

Have been here many times with the children, with the dogs and just with my partner have witnessed the lights which were amazing, have been to the fair there a few times and have taken younger relatives to the water play park which they have enjoyed thoroughly
It also has the traditional swings etc. The play section was renovated quite recently. It also has a boating lake and is a huge green space full of trees and planuts. Quote the oasis in the middle of walsall

Went to Walsall Arboretum on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago. Some really great work done on improvements which are on-going. There was a band playing in the bandstand which has been refurbished. The cafe really nice with food available. Worth a visit on a good weather day.

Fantastic for the small children using the splash pool area. Great place to walk or ride a bike, also the lakes are open to boat on. This time off the year, with all the flowers in bloom looks and smells great.

The most beautiful park and trees are found in the middle of a noisy bustling town.
We are privileged to have this arboretum on our doorstep and is worth a visit at any time of the year, excellent for children and great for adults who want to escape to take in nature and tranquility.
Excellent visitor centre and cafe, highly recommended
Splash pad water park really popular during the summer, something for everyone, one of my most favourite places in the country 😍

Was passing through Walsall, funnily enough to pickup my brother's suitcase form his friends house. Decided to make the most of the visit and see what was good to see locally. Found the Arboretum on TripAdvisor and had to go. It's fairly large (maybe a 30 mins walk around the perimeter), has a visitor's center, a kids lido as well as paths, benches and play areas. It's lovely on a summer's day, some nice greenery, paths, ducks as well as water. Well worth a visit!

The Arboretum is lovely!
All of the scenery in the park is lovely and it is peaceful (unless you go by the children's playground)
The playground and lido is very exciting for children- and even big kids too
I have never been to the cafe but some of my friends who have been there would recommend it and said it was good

The park was lovely and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the water section. However it all went wrong when we wanted to grab some quick lunch.

We went to order our food, but some of the items weren't available (jacket potato). Children's menu quite expensive (£2.50 for two fish fingers only). I decided to go with something else and we waited for our food. While waiting I saw other people with a jacket potato, so this annoyed me. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. We ordered the soup of the day, fish fingers and chips and an egg/mayo sandwich. Nothing was difficult here. When my husband challenged them they then informed us they have ran out of egg/mayo!!! Why not tell us at the point of order and why didn't anyone tell us while we were waiting so we could re-order something??? Our food finally came after an hour of waiting in total. The food wasn't presented nicely like we saw with other customers, who had a salad garnish. you could tell they rushed it in the end. and the reason for the delay? They were low on food and had to get some more, and who did they send?? The chef!!!! So for 30 mins they were taking orders and not telling anyone that there will be a delay as there isn't anyone to do the food. This was the first time eating here.... and our last. The rating is for the park only.

We dont live to far from the park itself but when we saw posters of a family fun weekend with free entry and the weather been so hot me and my partner and her friend just came to have a look and see what it was that was going on. Turns out it was just a giant fun fair for kids and teenagers so we come away. The scenery us beautiful though and even had an ice cream. We didnt go on the boats on the lake but looked so relaxing.
On a weekend morning it is nice to walk off a full english breakfast as it will burn of those calaries

Very nice park with swings etc for the young ones and open spaces to explore and play in. Parking can be a bit of a pain but don't let that deter you

A really lovely outdoor park with plenty for children and adults to do. There has been lots of refurbishments done and there is an information centre, lakes, parks, skateboard ramps and green spaces and benches for picnics. A clean, well maintained space with a great play area for young people and some nice streams and walks.

some money has been spent on the arboretum over last few years bringing it back up to a good standard for this type of facility. Home of a Saturday Park Run which is an excellent use of the venue for local people to help them stay healthy.
