I haven't been here for years and being a warm day we decided to stop here.

The park was busy as there was a fair there.

The park was scenic and well kept. Lots of beautiful flowers and great to see all the ducks too.

Was nice to have a stroll through the park and will definately come here again.

This is great for everyone, have a walk around the pool, feed the ducks, fishing or just sit and relax, it's a great place to walk the dog or to ride your bike, it has a fantastic park area that is fenced off for children...no dogs allowed in the play area, it has a state park and another extended walk

I admit Walsall is full of eye sores but this is certainly NOT one of them! I came here a lot as a child and it did go down hill, after the refurbishment it's back on top form. The visitor centre is lovely and clean and the new balconys are lovely! Glad to see a lot wildlife returning.

I have been here, more times than I can count, and for as long as I can remember. I have no idea where to start.
In the summer there used to be a little island with a slide that was filled with water. That got replaced a few years ago with a more modern water spraying thing, that I've been to every summer since its been there, there's a big park with a spider web, swings, a skate park, zip wire and other smaller standard things you'd find in a big park. Like a tennis court or two...
It is always a pleasant walk, whether you're on a bike, scooter, by yourself , or being dragged by too many dogs.
I've cream is always an option, or if you're the lunch in a box type, then you can always go to a picnic bench and sip your orange juice or tea, avoiding squirrels.
I saw some 'construction' being done to the lake, I think it's now better to say 'abduction' because I haven't seen it for a while. But if you're looking for a free place to spend the afternoon, then it's a nice place to be with your family. Or you could sit at home on your play station eating Pringles and drinking instant coffee.

Always has been a lovely park. Generally very peaceful with pleasant lakes and gardens. I have spent many a happy summers day here as a child and with my own children and grandchildren.
A word of warning though, do not let any children you are in charge of out of your sight and make sure they are escorted to and from toilets as it is notorious for dodgy characters.I have had to report one or two before now.

If you haven't visited lately - you're missing out! Lottery money has greatly improved the facilities of an already beautiful Victorian park. Stroll, run or cycle around the well maintained paths and lakes. Visit the new cafe - check out craft and other sessions offered there. Look out for free music events help at the band stand, or visiting fairs/circus. Attend special events such as dog shows, charity galas, classic car shows. Children will love the water park (no paddling pools - very safe for all ages) and play area catering for all ages. Feed the ducks (buy seed at the cafe rather than bread, which is not good for them), play table tennis on the outdoor table, book a tennis court, or a game of golf at the course beyond the arboretum. Do the 5k Park Run held every Saturday at 9 am, or for a longer run/cycle - extend it onto the canal running at the back of the arboretum. It's my local park and I love it!

Excellent park which has been improved greatly in the last year or so. The spring flowers are lovely especially early spring when the crocuses are in swathes under the trees. Has 2 lakes and a nice boardwalk to feed the ducks, swans and geese(they ask you to feed ducks with duck food and not bread please)There are quite a variety of ducks that arrive to use the lakes and the island in the lake. There is a good children's area-lovely in summer as has water that shoots at random from under the one area and the children can dodge them! Plenty of places to walk your dog in the park and picnic-benches and sculptures, flower beds and a nice rockery .There's a new café which I am told is good .Music events are performed on the bandstand sometimes and special events in the park like markets etc-see Walsall website for details. Also places for fishermen to fish and a boathouse with swan shaped boats to go on lake .All in all, always a nice place to go.

My children and now my grandchildren have always enjoyed days out at the Walsall Arboretum there is now a new café in the park and there are lots of places to sit down and eat a picnic lunch. If you don't manage to eat all your sandwiches the ducks are very appreciative of the crumbs on the way out.

Walsall arboretum has been greatly improved I like to visit in the week as weekends when the weather is good can get extremely busy. The new visitors centre is nice but the coffee is a bit pricey not sure about the food pricing, still think its a shame they don't have the illuminations .

Haven't visited for a number of years. I have got to say it is a beautiful park and gardens. There was no litter and the lawns and lake were in excellent keeping. There was no litter around and the trees and plants were a credit to the people who work there. Let's hope the council cuts don't impact on a beautiful space.

We came across this by mistake but what a treasure. We stayed for two hours and could have stayed longer. We had a lovely wander amongst the paths, trees, plants, lakes and activities. It was beautiful. No litter the borders and beds immaculate. There was even new bark chippings around the base of the trees. There was so much to see and do for everyone. We just strolled along and were surprised at all the activities to do from tennis, bowling, skate boarding to relaxing, children's play area and the visitors centre wow! A modern building with lots of facilities. The cafe was very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the clean toilets and the video footage of a buggy doing a high speed tour of the area. We thought we had walked a large distance but had only just seen a little bit. I highly recommend a visit. A free event sponsored by the council with a friends group and they even do the park run 5k run on Saturdays at 9 am. Thank you to all the people who help to make this place special. It was a lovely place to visit.

I visited Walsall Arboretum back in Autumn 2015 - it's a lovely park. The new visitor centre/cafe is nice.

I usually visit a few times a year as I'm local.

You would not imagine that such a lovely place is set in the middle of built up area. The park is well maintained and has many different areas to it including a large children’s play area, a café, picnic areas, bandstand, fitness area and much more. With a boating and fishing lake there really is something for everyone. A great place to relax and unwind. Well worth a visit

We took our grand children to the arboretum on a pleasant winter day. We were very pleased with the condition of the play area, it had a good variety of things for different ages and more importantly, it was clear of rubbish. After about an hour and a half, we headed back towards the lake and noticed the new cafe area, so we decided to have a drink and the kids wanted some chips, yet again we were surprised by how clean and tidy it was and not expensive either. We then went to check out the ducks.
All in all, very pleased with the effort the staff are making.

Walsall, Dudley, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas often get a bad wrap as things go but most of these locations have a wonderful plethora of attractions that are often overshadowed to which the arboretum is a good example of this. Just a gorgeous location within this region. Peaceful, tranquil and picturesque. Good prices for food and drink as well in the cafe. If you're ever stuck for something to do in this area I cannot recommend this enough, especially on a budget. Check it out!!
