Visit in spring or autumn to see the wonderful colours of the trees and plants. It is a lovely space with well maintained grounds. Nice for families to come and enjoy the park. Tennis courts available. We like to go for a little walk around the lake and there is a nice coffee shop in the grounds. There is a small childrens park and water area for summer fun. Pity they no longer do the lights which were as good as the ones in Blackpool. I heard that the council are considering closing this facility which would be a tragedy as it is the only nice thing in Walsall! Let's hope they don't.

We visit the Arboretum regularly since it has been refurbished with a cafe and toilets in the visitor centre. Its a lovely park to walk round not just the lake but the extension as well. You see lots of dog walkers and the childrens play area is always busy. The skate park is well attended too. The tennis courts are free which is rare. Its nice to
take a picnic and chill but the food in the cafe is lovely too. Love the swan boats on the lake.

Very well kept example of what can be done with town centre parkland. Great play areas, skatepark and outdoor gym. Beautifully landscaped and interesting park. Cafe could be better

I am a 45 year old that has rode, run or walked most parks, canals, trails and areas in the midlands yet somehow never visited the walsall arboretum . Today i popped up with my wife and boy for the weekly parkrun and was blown away.. With cutbacks by most councils and districts NOTHING compares to the beauty and cleanliness of this place. Skate parks, play areas, boating lakes with big swans on, niche gardens with memorial plaques everywhere.. the place has interest everywhere you look. I am embarrassed to have never been here before and may i add its the most friendly parkrun i have ever been to other than Dudley who equals it.. The place is amazing and i cant wait to return to explore it with more time on our hands. Well done and thank you walsall council and local parkrun volunteers.

My friend was visiting me for the first time this week. As she loves walking we decided walk to the Arboretum along the canal from Aldridge and to show off the the jewel in Walsall’s crown. We had our lunch at the cafe in the Arboretum. We were.pleased with the service and the food. However, I would like to mention that a small group of mothers with babies and and pre-school children were present. It was very noisy because the children were allowed to ride their bikes up and down in the cafe which was risky to say the least. The bike wheels were also dirty having been around the Arboretum. One of the bikes had a horn on it which was constantly sounded. Also the mess that was left on the floor after they left was unnecessary.

I wish to emphasise that this was not the children’s fault but I think the Cafe Manager should know that bikes are being ridden in the cafe. Not very hygienic.
Please make a note of this. Thankyou.

Great place for gentle walking however you need a good sense of direction as I didn't see any information leaflets. Luckily I have been a few times so I don't get lost The coffee shop is always quite busy and I have walked out due to the slow service. Once you do get served the food and drinks are quite good

We enjoyed a long walk in the wonderfully maintained park and escaped a sudden shower diving in the coffee shop.

The staff were friendly and lunch freshly made but there were so many yummy mummies having coffee together oblivious of the impact of their children on others. There was a child riding his bike between the tables and ten minutes of a noisy bike horn being squeezed. We couldn't get out quick enough. Staff were apologetic but seemed to be at a loss given the mothers were next to their children! It was like trying to have a coffee in a playgroup.

Great place for walking and getting in touch with trees. However, apart from the map in the car park I didn't see any information, leaflets or online resources to help appreciate what is there.

I’ve been here a few times now and each time has been as expected. It is based on a large plot of land meaning that long dog walks and summer strolls are ideal here. It is also not too far away from the town centre with only a 10 minute walk between. The arboretum also hosts many advertised events throughout the year which makes it an even better place to visit.

Very well maintained park just a few minutes from the town centre. The gardens are very tidy, as well as the open areas. Great walk around the lake, and plenty of places to stop and relax. There’s a huge area of fun for youngsters, and some equipment for those wanting to workout, as well as plenty of spaces for field games.

Lovely lake and coffee shop. The groundskeeper really keeps it tidy and clean. It’s peaceful considering it’s next to the main road.

We took our doggy a Siberian Husky for a walk around the park he was a little bit annoyed that he wasn't allowed to go on the slide or swings as there was children playing on them maybe Walsall council could invest some money into play items for doggys instead of wasting money on nonsense like Art galleries where dogs are not allowed

I moved to Walsall last year very near to the Arboretum. I have taken many pleasant walks through the park but for the first time today I discovered the Visitor Centre. This is very informative and well laid out. Next to the Visitor Centre is a pleasant café. Only wish I'd discovered this sooner after I'd moved here.

Brings back constant happy memories of childhood and the time when this park was at is social peak.
Lovely coffee shop and varied family walks available and of course should you wish to run run 3 miles at 9am on a Saturday morning check out the Park Run website to register as Walsall is one of the quickest courses in England!

Popped in for what I expected to be a black coffee as I didn’t think that there would be any vegan options at all. I was very wrong indeed. The staff made me a sausage sandwich and there was also soya milk available so could have a tea too :) the staff were really friendly and knowledgable which was lovely. Very nice surroundings. Would recommend
