This is a great example of a Victorian park. It has been renovated so the lake, bandstand and pavilion look as good as the day the park opened. There are over 1,000 species of tree and shrub magnificent trees and a large children's play area.

There is a new visitor's centre with a small café and it is the home of the fascinating Walsall Silver Thread Tapestries, a set of eleven tapestries, hand stitched by local people, that depict the people, places, history and wildlife of the borough of Walsall.

Well worth a visit.

A general all round park with plenty to do. Gardens are kept clean, dog owners are responsible and plenty of bins to assist with keeping the grounds clean. Would recommend for every one

Between the Arboretum and country park this is a great place to walk the dog, but don't forget to bring poo bags.

Doesn't matter what time of year you go or time of day
The place is absolutely clean all the team
Wish other dog owners would keep there dogs on the lead when there are other dogs about as some people have nervous dogs

Lovely town centre park with a lake to walk around. Used to go every year for the firework display in November. Regular events held here, plenty of activities for families or a stroll if working nearby.

Just like a park, kids are very pleased with the animals swimming in the little lake and a big playground adapted for children in every age. In the summer they do water splash which is kinda cool too. Just don't forget to take some towels. The whole park is clean, but the toilets are a bit disappointing to be honest. And the only place to buy food and drinks from is expensive and really not worth the money. But otherwise it's a great place to go to.

Superb place to explore on a warm autumnal morning. The colours of the hundreds of mature trees are stunning; good wide paths for walking and a pleasant lake to walk around. Things for all ages to do including a cafe having indoor seating plus an outdoor area where dogs are welcome. Also selling takeaway drinks too.

The arboretum is lovely and a great place for the family. There is a huge park and it is great for younger and older kids. There is huge lakes to feed ducks but please no that you can NOT feed them your own food, you now have to purchase it and if you do try you will be approached fast and can get a fine. Its lovely to have a walk and plenty of fields to take a football with you. Also has tennis and bowls courts. Worth a visit.

Wonderful walk, plenty of places for beautiful photographs, a photographer could easily spend a whole day here, the scenery, the lighting, it is a beautiful park to walk around and relax. Free parking, a lovely park for the children to play on, a boating lake, a nice cafe that is reasonably priced. You would not believe that you were in Walsall town centre.

There’s loads to do at Walsall arboretum!
Plenty of free car parking.
Beautiful Green walking space in Abundance.
Exercise equipment, lots of football goals, basketball court, bike/skateboard track, splash pool that actually works, lovely park equipment, lake with pedalos to hire, cafe, toilets, picnic space the list goes on!
A few dodgy looking people about and I wish smoking would be banned inside the children’s play area, doing this would make it 5* (or simply just use your common sense and not smoke around other peoples kids!)

We came here for an afternoon, lots of free parking space - although it's a fair walk to the original arboretum park with all the facilities if you want a cuppa or an ice-cream.
Nice break from daily routine, at no cost other what you buy at the cafe (if you don't want to prepare a pick nick).

After lots of work, this park in the centre of Walsall looks absolutely beautiful. The beds were all full of flowers which had been well maintained and I saw a number of park keepers around picking up litter and emptying bins. It was a lovely sunny day so there were lots of people making use of the park and the kids playground was absolutely packed. Considering Walsall seems to be full of people begging and ‘zombied’ outside the shops, the park was just full of people enjoying the facility and even though I walked to the top which was a little quieter with the fair being installed, it felt a safe and welcoming place to be.
Some fantastic geocache routes for those interested too.

Lovely relaxing cool walk.

The Bridging the Gap Event not on & not advertised as cancelled.

Windy & blustery & odd rain showers while there.

Water features in play area was nice.

Pedalos not in use, prob due to the weather too.

Tapestries on display in the café, they were nice & reflected history of the local area.

Lovely sweet apples that were pink inside were on sale at 10p each from café area too.

I really like this park. The lake is lovely with the swan boats. You can feed the ducks with the special duck food. There is a play area with swings etc for the kids. There is an ice cream van there. You can also buy big balloons for kids. Shame it hasn't got a it's own car park but you can park on the street and there is a pay and display over the road from the main entrance.

Surprisingly big, you can walk for a long time and just get away from the busy-ness of the city. Great place for kids and dogs to play, too.

Kids loved it here on a hot day during the holidays. Took a picnic and some bats n balls. They had so much fun in the water.

Get there early if you want a table to sit at. Small cafe for drinks etc and an ice cream van nearby

Cheap place to entertain kids in the holidays
